I really like the layout of my house but was very disappointed in Lennar's lack of pride in the quality of workmanship. There were way too many punch list items. Most were taken care of but some will be addressed at the year review.

It was impossible too work with Lennar title. Would not accommodate my requests and had to use a different title company. Lennar punished me by not paying fees that the seller would normally pay

Selection process and purchase was very positive. The construction period was not very good - 3 construction inspectors (one we never met); felt very haphazard and not customer-focused. Quality of workmanship is fair - small details like placing a sprinkler head at the exist point of a downspout, which is now covered up by a concrete splash pad; caulking in many places looks like it was done with the non-dominant hand of a non-professional. The post-construction warranty period experience has been positive. Details like the microwave placement were overlooked. It's a real problem for shorter people. No studs behind the drywall where the TV is supposed to hang. Also, we've had a lot of plumbing issues. Our powder room flooded causing major damage to the house.

I love my house , I hate the appliances after one week there was a dent in my refrigerator and the stove top is scratched already just by wiping it. My floors are cracking and Grout job on my tiles stinks I am glad that I still have but when your warranty to get fixed all the things that are wrong with my house.

There is a lot of little things that were over looked at by the builder. There should be better paint all around the house.

In all the process, communication was very poor. When we got to the inspection process we didn’t even got time to go through the entire house, cause they guy was in a time frame. During construction process we never got any updates of how the house was going.

Please make sure you check everything!

Buying a home is rewarding the experience was not but we had anticipated with the lender

Buyers must ensure the get the name and phone number of the upper management before closing. If it is possible to have a converzation with them. That is necessary in case any complaint is not answered by the immediate managers, one can raise the complaint to a higher level. At the moment I have several problems that only the administrator gives me an answer and no management is able to write or call me to tell me how to solve the case. They close my complaints without being resolved, they don't care if I agree or not.

Th people we have been working with after we moved in have been very helpful

Bare minimum upgrades in spec homes Phase one of the neighborhood has better upgrades/options.....their motto is Its all included And that was not the case- there were no window treatments, refrigerator or washer and dryer included.

Not to use your mortgage company.

The mortgage process has been stupidly complex and poorly organized. I am still get requests for documents and signatures two weeks afte we’ve closed because of errors and poor communication. I’m satIsfied with the overall build quality and workmanship. That said as we spend more time in the home I’m noticing that the painting contractors don’t seem to have been very detail oriented as were find drips and paint marks on molding and ceiling. We also would have opted to upgrade the paint to a satin finish had we realized that eggshell was going to be used. The contractors who put up the fence also didn’t pay attention to details. First out in on the wrong side of the house then just transferred it to the correct side. Problem is the diet bother to level the fence to the ground so there is uneven gaps and holes under the fence. Fortunately our dog is big enough that she can’t fit through and hasn’t discovered digging yet ... More

Lending section is lacking in many respects

I wish our home came with standard window screens. I was told we had to buy our own.

I know there are delays due to COVID but that cannot be a legitimate excuse for everything. I am happy with the structure itself, but there has been no resolution to some issues that were going to be taken care of immediately. No followthrough.

During the home buying process, you have to be on top of them for everything or else you'll miss important details. If I were to buy again, I would use Lennar. Some of my neighbors were reached out to for upgrades and options, but a friend of mine and myself were never asked and we had to constantly ask for updates.

My wife and I have not closed on our new house yet. There have been multiple delays with our closing

On the building end of things, most things were fine. Construction was great to work and incredibly helpful. Of it weren’t for the helpfulness and caring of the construction team, I don’t know what we would have done. The same goes for the loan department. They were always there to answer questions and provide guidance. However, the sales team was far from the quality I expected. From day one, we were not treated kindly. Concerns and questions, if answered, were short and dismissive. When farther along in the process, an incredible lack of communication made the closing process beyond frustrating and overwhelming. At one point, I was called about flooring and treated rudely because they(sales office) had an oversight and wanted me to rush in picking flooring. I was belittled and was even given wrong information about my contract. So much so, I had to get my copy and direct the sales team to the page so I could verify the flooring purchase. In the last two weeks of the sale, there managed to be so little communication that I was out a refrigerator and a washer and dryer. The communications with the sales team at that point were inexcusable. I was finally able to contact upper management where things were handled with more tact. You would think that a sales team would be more communicative, helpful, and understanding as buying a home(let alone a new build) is not something people do every single day. It would have been nice to be treated with more care and appreciation from the sales team. Outside of that, we are loving our home and the care from the construction team we continue to receive! Quality of workmanship is lacking. Lots of shortcuts taken. Promises made and not delivered or had to remind several times. Closing day was a fiasco.

I did NOT like the experience with the Lending team. I almost lost my dream home Because TIM O was not able to research and find out some items had zero balance. He was poor and the entire lending department is poor.

My issue in being a first time NEW home buyer was disappointing, not so much because of the home but the agent, Virginia. They screwed up on the loan docs and sent them to a different state, which meant we had to get up at the crack of dawn to make sure everything was resigned before noon for escrow to close that day. We came with 7 people and a truck from California. I followed up with Virginia around 2:00 and she told title we were very impatient. Next thing I knew it was after 5:00 pm and still not a word. Virginia finally texted me the following morning at 4:30 AM, telling me the code to enter and where the keys and openers were...4:30 AM! Which means we closed the day before and she never told me! She knew we were up at 5:00 am, she knew I had 7 people with me that had no where to sleep, and still waited till then to notify me!! She said she misplaced her phone, but she could of gotten my number from multiple people! Never congratulations, or a proper walk thru....NOTHING! As far as the home, it didn't come with handles on any cupboards. That was over $500.00 to add. The carpet we upgraded, and it is still so cheap and thin with tack strips that cut our feet until we hammered them all down. Everything was stark white and we couldn't even pick our colors with an up charge, so that had to be done before we could move in.
