As so may others, we moved here from out of state and waited patiently for the house to be ready. There is not enough room here for me to list all of things that were - and still are - wrong with this house. I am not referring to little nit picky things. I mean things as bad as dangerous exposed electrical issues that finally got fixed 7 weeks after we closed. We own another Lennar house in a different state so we know that Lennar does do good work (despite its many negative reviews.) However - our experience with this house has been nothing but negative. We found out that it never even had a proper walk through because the guy was on vacation that week - can you imagine? The worst part is that we are easy going people. If there is a problem we don't complain. Instead we just want the steps to get it fixed. We have been lied to every step of the way. Our contact person harps on what was not discussed at the 30 day walk through, implying that things may not get fixed. Note - the 30 day walk through is a big joke. When there are this many things wrong you can't rush through a house and expect to get it all. If there is a 1 year warranty why can't it get fixed? Why can't we have what we paid for? This answer is not made clear. We don't understand why the response isn't more professional - such as - I am sorry this happened. Here is what we need to do to fix this for you. Instead our person tells us how this is Lennar policy and there is nothing that can be done. We have crushed cabinets and drawers, areas where the granite is not attached to the wall, pavers that were destroyed by their constructions workers, a cracked sink, major scratch in a tub, scratched up stuff everywhere, the dry wall needs to be redone in half the house, and oh, how I can go on! It has become a full time job dealing with this, waiting on vendors daily. When the plumber mentioned the cracked sink we were told that he had no right to tell us that. What kind of lack of integrity is this? Of course he should have told us. That is why he was there. If I, who am not a builder or a construction worker, have to locate all these issues - what about the issues that my lack of experience won't find? My biggest question is - Does Lennar even care? I attribute the success of my former business not only to quality of service, but to the highest level of customer service. I see NO customer service with this current Lennar experience. Lennars sales personnel is great. Unfortunately that's where it ends. It must be the material and labor shortage because the workmanship leaves a lot to be desired we have been in this house for nearly two months now and are still waiting for the work to be completed.(front door and frame along with all the closet doors and cabinets has to be replaced inside the house has to be repainted)I hope this is not the Lennars MO if it is I believe your reputation will suffer

Sadly, our experience with Lennar was not a good one. We have purchased many homes over the years, including a few new builds. The issues: 1. Late. The home was "completed" over 3 months late. 2. Forced to close. Lennar forced us to close on our house on a certain date (5/31) to meet their quarterly figures. They even told me the same. Even after we told them we do not want to close as the house wasn't finished and the punchlist (if you can call it that) was extensive, they closed the transaction anyway. 3. No Cert. of Occupancy. They closed the home before getting the COO. While it did come in the next days, the point was that we were not comfortable closing without it. They did it anyway without our approval late in the evening. 4. In addition to closing without our approval, we were told their punch crew would finish all of the items, not to worry. I specifically asked for the remaining work not to be handed to the warranty department. It was agreed. So after we closed, they didn't finish the punch work and handed everything left to the warranty department. They finally finished last week (2 months later). ... More

Lennar offer great price but lack in quality

You get what you pay for. This pretty much sums it up. They do have a pretty decent and friendly after sales staff that mops up the Problems caused during construction. Don’t expect a quality build.

My experience with the builder was not good especially since they want to close before the home is complete and for someone that is a buyer from out of state is hard to check all the details of the final construction and in my home, there are lots of issue like paint, hold in the upstair stair broken or defected doors and for the high price that the home has the material, users is very low quality and the same that is listed on the home model .

Getting repairs done after move in was a bit of a struggle, after a higher up from Lennar stepped in, it was taken care of immediately. We love are home! Paula in sales office was great, always returned calls and answered all questions!!!

Ashley made the process very easy and took good care of us. She is very helpful and very nice. It was great working with her. Thank you so much!!!

The craftsmanship put into our brand new home is absolutely atrocious and frankly, I am appalled. From the sales staff to the construction manager and everyone in between, it has been an awful experience. Corners were cut while finishing our brand new home and it looks terrible. I want Lennar held responsible for hiring a dependable high quality finish carpentry company to come and fix the embarrassingly low quality, garbage level of work we are forced to live with and pay for. This is unacceptable and when expressing my frustrations to our Lennar warranty rep. we are left feeling like the house is our fault and that it is a "Production" home and there is nothing they are going to do. Great buying experience start to finish. Brooks our sales person was very helpful in answering questions and guided us through the buying process.

Lennar is the worst. Zero accountability from top to bottom. Everything needed extra work or repairs and when problems were reported it took multiple calls and complaints to get any work done. NEVER close unless everything is 100% done and checked with a fine-tooth comb.

With Lennar it's so fast and quick turnaround time when it comes to building a new home. I loved it.

Overall good experience. However the house was not as complete as it should have been since it was rushed through to meet a May 31 quota deadline. Still finding poor craftsmanship after 2 months.

Expect to be frustrated going through the process. Lennar mad us close on our house before it was ready - the finance people must run the show. They somehow got the CO but our AC didn't work, we had missing drawers, a vent cover, the pool didn't work, missing tile, a warped wall, and more. I asked them to redo many areas of trim and the redo was worse than the original. The subs are not really skilled craftsmen so expect a lot of uneven, misaligned, or warped areas. They do respond to warranty request if you are willing to put a lot of work into submitting, tracking, scheduling, and talking to them and their subs. We are two months in and still waiting for lights on garage, the pool heater to get turned on, trim work to get finished, electrical items to get corrected. The construction manager is a nice guy but he doesn't wright anything down or follow up. So the subs seem to ignore him knowing he probably will not remember or follow up. ... More

The value of home is good. But still unresolved issues: Fire detector not replaced yet (already in my second month) Few windows doesn't close well Outside lights not lighting at night (front and back where garage is)

The workmanship in the entryway of the front door was poor. The front door wouldn’t open all the way and I had to advocate myself to get it addressed. The first attempt at resolving the issue was sloppy. Then the construction manager stopped replying to my messages. I then had to find another Lennar representative who would help me. Hopefully the warranty manager that I am working with now will resolve the issue but I currently have a front door that doesn’t open all the way.

I had very hard time with Lennar sales person and Mortigage people ,they are not co-operative and they will not include any upgrades,we have to go with their recommendations , so f you want smooth process I will not recommend Lennar homes at all .

Our sales associate Tanna is always excellent. She’s very helpful and responsive. Jody also did a great job. Jody helped us with the loan and was very friendly… And responsive. We had a great experience… We would recommend to others.

Sales person was very good! Overall quality is average; it is an expensive track home Home was not cleaned very well at closing Warranty items are usually handled in a timely manner; warranty person is very good Our mortgage Loan through Lennar mortgage company was a difficult and a frustrating process

Follow up on service requests are slow and incomplete. Not what I expected from Lennar. Very disappointed

My experience with Lennar has been exceptional! The entire home buying process has been worry-free and my sales rep Lourdes quickly answered any questions I had. I am really impressed with the quality of my home and all of the features that are included.

Love the house however there has been numerous issues. Took 14 months instead of the 4 months I was told it would take to build. Had about 3 sales contacts after making down payment and a period with no contact for updates on home progress due to high staff turnover. New Home Sales Consultant is hard to reach but Warranty Customer Service is very responsive. House appears well built, but electrical ground rod was left protruding through grass, contractor tractor drove over cable tower causing damage and deep tire tracks in lawn, nail was left protruding through porch floor, contractor left empty water bottle in attic (ADT installer found it when running wires through attic for alarm/camera system), empty water bottles and construction material was left in grass so I wasn't surprised garbage was left in attic. House also delivered without sod in front which HOA sent email about 10 days after moving in. This has been addressed by Lennar, but landscapers installed dead grass so will have to follow-up on that again. Seems like issue is with the contractors. Some doing good work and others doing sloppy work. Warranty department is responsive in regard to addressing aforementioned and other issues, but seem to have a hard time getting reliable contractors to address issues. It's been 2 months and some issues like separating pavers in drive way and exterior paint touch ups have not been addressed yet. Homes were also built without gutters and pavers are not sealed so home owners have to address themselves. Love the layout and look of my house though, inside and out. Appliances are okay. I upgraded from tile to wood laminate floors and it came out absolutely beautiful! Flooring contractor is on point! Carpet is soft and plush. Kitchen cabinets and counters gorgeous. ... More

Lennar wants everything to be done right away as far as paperwork during the escrow process but when they are the ones that need to send or sign a document they can be slow. Our closing date was postpones several weeks because Lennar and our lender too took forever to respond. The worst came after move in though. Two days after moving in our guest bedroom flooded. They were quick to send a plumber but........it's been 2 months and our guest bedroom is still not done. And they are not even nice about it. I mean I like to be understanding and not push people but there are people that just don't appreciate your patience you know. With all that said I would like to mention Robert, our home rep, who is and has been amazing. He has done above and beyond his duties to help us. ... More

We unfortunately have had on-going issues such as a main shower water leak and a secondary bathroom exhaust fan leak that have yet to fixed - almost two months now since we moved in! We will not shower in the main bathroom because of the large amount of water that will leak onto the floor after showering. All together we have had about 15 service requests, many of which have been fixed. However, some have not been to date. The quality of work/attention to detail is not apparent in many parts of our house. In fact, our front porch had to be resurfaced due to staining throughout the whole porch. We are hopeful that all issues will be resolved in a timely manner. We do enjoy using the beautiful pool, clubhouse, tennis courts, etc. And we have met many nice neighbors.
