I purchased a new construction D. R. Horton property in June 2018. I decided to upgrade to a larger home and purchased a Lennar home in November 2019. The longer I live in the Lennar home I realized D. R. Horton is a better quality builder. The Lennar quality is just not there. The drywall is so thin you can't hang a lightweight picture without reinforcement. The wood flooring has several chips in places my family and I could not have damaged it. For example behind the toilet in the half bath. The ceiling still shows major flaws, corners of walls, not really corners have curves. The lawn is ...

While I more than understand deadlines, milestones and budgets, I find it hard to believe that some things were just overlooked. Im not convinced that there were quality checks made to confirm whether or not a job was done right let alone completed before being signed off on. I have floor planks that are obviously not level, trim cut too long or short, rug already not laying flat (I barely have furniture), The more time I spend at home, the more I notice things that were missed or carelessly completed. Definitely tainted my brand new home buying experience. To top it all off, issues with the ...

Not a terrible experience overall. Workmanship is so so, but they are pretty responsive to any issues that come up. Working with their Financing company is terrible so if you can get your own financing I would highly recommend that

We really do love our house and our home buying experience was good. We enjoyed working with Paul. Unfortunately, we just found out that they are building traditional homes with vinyl siding directly next to us. It doesn't appear to be cohesive with the rest of the neighborhood and we feel it will impact our home value negatively. We purchased in this neighborhood based on the current style of homes (Charleston style with hardie plank). We did not want to live in a traditional neighborhood. We would not have purchased this home if we had known. Incredibly disappointed.

We ended up with an issue that is unique. Things were done to code (from what we know), but it was NOT enough in our case. Our house does not have enough prevention from air pushing into the walls so we had already ended up dealing with a disaster. We will have to resolve it using out own money.

make sure all items are completed and done properly because you have a great hassle trying to get them resolved with the 'Warranty/customer service dept". Also, really check the outside of your home for slope and drainage... it has been 4 months and the drainage/slop from and between homes has yet to be properly addressed. there are times we have a small bass pond between the homes. it seems there is always something else to blame vs fixing the problem! will strongly stray away from a Lennar build again.

A lot of patch work around the house that we are just now noticing. Paint job was definitely subpar. Wood floors have so many chips in different corners. There is cement on my grass from when they did the back porch. Patch job around the ceiling fan outlet caps. Let’s just say there are a lot of signs that the home was made in a rush. Really annoying but improvements in terms of workmanship are needed

Everything was good up to the closing of our property, we been having some serious issues within our landscaping, and after reaching to them several occasions for options in how to fix the issue, not for them cover the expenses, but for us to get guidance on how-to work the issue. This is a huge "red" flag in any future problems that might come up, which is a shame since everyone up to this point were been really helpful from Sales (Julie) and Finance (Alex) true MVPs. I hope that we can get it sort it out.

We love our home. We love the Next-Gen aspect. However, we have had electrical issues, cabinet doors instead of being replaced when drilled wrong, painted over and flipped around. Backyard littered with trash...not just construction materials you would expect. Interior floor a mess when we moved in with adhesive left on it. Some of the outlets look like they are puckered out of the wall. I tired of typing things...

It is a nice neighborhood, the design & rooms in our unit are fair to good. We did have so many issuses to be addressed which took forever until Don ,the construction manager took over, then things started getting fixed, he is a good man. The HOA is Ok as of now , but once the so called resort style pool gets built , then our HOA will more then double which. is very High & Unfair. And I may add when the so called resort style pool gets built it will be a very small pool for the room that is there ,which was & is very misleading. The windows are Terrible, the condensation is overwhelming at ...
