Overall disappointment in the quality and lack of empathy to help. Also being lied to about door molding length and clear builder damages. But guess it’s on me and my purchase.

I hope I made the right choice. These homes are built very quickly with cheap labor.

The sales experience was very professional without pressure. Dominique was patient as we took almost a year to finalize a purchase. Customer service after the sale could be improved in response time.

Poor quality paint, when cleaning the floor the baseboard loose the paint. Bathroom sinks with manufacturer defects, floors vinyl not glued around ALL walls. Kitchen sink food garbage barely pushed water out, poor water pressure on all of the faucets. These houses are sold well built houses. Getting repairs done is a nightmare.

We do like our house but throughout the process we’ve realized we will likely never use Lennar again. The lender we used (through Lennar-Sam) was horrible to say the least and obviously only had Lennar in mind throughout the process. Our appraisal was much lower than we paid and that component was very unsettling with how it was taken care of. Sam was pretty manipulative when speaking about it. I have a mortgage background so I found many errors however when brought to Sam he assured me I was wrong when in the end—I was right and our numbers were completely off. The fees for closing in itself was enough for me to never refer Lennar to anyone. We’ve been having issues with an excessive water bill and Lennar seems to not want to help. Overall did not have a good experience. Aaron and Lennar Title were amazing, but everyone else was extremely unresponsive and unprofessional. We were given an interest rate during our initial purchase agreement that later turned out to be nothing but a dream. They made promises they couldn’t keep, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. We also had a serious grading issue that we addressed during our walkthrough, and after badgering numerous people the day before our closing date because it still had not been addressed, we did not even know if we were going to close the day of or not until late afternoon. Steve the construction manager was extremely unresponsive during this whole process. We did close on the house and are enjoying it, but would not buy a lennar home again due to such a poor and unprofessional experience. ... More

Had a problem with AC unit and the reaction time was not quick. Lived here for a few months always finding issues. You make a ticket to get it fixed and they only fix it if your home. So that means you have to take off work. So I been fixing it myself.

Hours after I closed water was poring through the ceiling. In the same spot where my inspection highlighted. I was told it was fixed. They didn’t even replace all the damaged Sheetrock, the texture had to be done three times. The painters (also had to come three times) dropped paint on my furniture, didn’t even have sheets or something to cover areas so they didn’t get paint in the house. The painters also don’t speak English, they had no clue what I was saying. I ended up having to buy paint. I painted the entire ceiling because you could see a huge circle in the ceiling. Which why am I having to do this when I’ve paid half a million for a brand new home!! I definitely could feel that no one was concerned with the quality or my happiness. The shingles don’t even match. Horrible experience. I’ll have this house inspected again, specifically for black mold because I have no trust in how this was handled. Great experience working with Angie in sales. Not a fan for Lennar’s “new home celebration.” Lennar should provide adequate time for a proper walk through. Some of the work was not great quality and if items are missed in new home celebration, it is difficult to get Lennar to address. I have been “ghosted” by both construction manager and customer care team. Very unprofessional way to do business.

No one ever responds to service requests

I'm mostly neutral on this buying experience. When we toured the development with the sales representative she was attentive and made statements that in the end were not accurate. She worked with us, did our sales contract then moved to a different Lennar site never to be heard from again. We like the floorplan for the home we purchased, but it was not our first choice. Timing dictated the selection. Not having the ability to choose your cabinet, flooring or siding color was disappointing. It seems you can only purchase a home already in production. Although appliances were included in our package, in less than two months we have had Whirlpool out for repairs on three of them already - one has already been replaced. ... More

Salespeople were great. Quality of materials, cabinets, appliances, and workmanship are just ok to sub par. Had several minor issues which can be expected but the time for a response and lack of communication with customer care made resolution process very painful. After the replacement of the original customer care rep., the process went much smoother. 2.5 stars would a more accurate rating.

Zero response to warranty issues

Great home, I wish that some things were disclosed better. I feel like they could have been upfront about a few things.

Some employees are more patient than others. Being senior, not all adept with on-line experience(s). Some seniors may require more help with computers than others

Every thing thru the closing was great. Sales staff couldn’t be more helpful. Construction supervisor was very helpful and competent. Once house was closed Lennar was less than responsive. I would encourage others to purchase Lennar home but would recommend that prior to closing make sure you identify problems and have them resolved prior to closing.

It's been a nightmare for the first 3 mos so far. As you spend time at the house you see more and more mistakes and lousy craftsmanship, from doors mishung, over screwed hinges, misroutered strike plates, bulges and divots in the plaster and Sheetrock over bulging framing. The absolute cheapest , but good looking kitchen and bathroom cabinets-glued and pinned together but with bad finishes on doors and pins sticking straight out of the drawer boxes and glue just floating about the boxes. Slider doors do not close properly, 'Caulkless' tub surrounds need caulk as their resolution to a leaking tub ledge! Paint, caulk, and plaster all over surfaces they don't belong on-floors knobs and hinges. Antenna wire on garage door opener was not there, flashing on entryway gutter was not there, interior garage door had water damage but was just painted over and left in place. Warranty claims are addressed but Lennnar doesn't want to take responsibility or looks for a cheap way out of it. My bedroom carpets all have trade stains on them and they've cleaned them 2x and they still want to try a 3rd cleaning solution! The paver driveway and the floor tile so far seems to be the only positives. It's disheartening to buy a newly built home and hate the sight of your own walls and doors! It's a never ending scheduling of visits and appts to review and repair( or not).just typing this review this morning has already ruined another day in my Lennar home bringing it all up on a Sunday. When I read the Lennar builder site everything seems to be high end qualities. The loan officers and other personnel are great but the building quality and workmanship is cheap, lack of caring, and attention to details. It shows in the tiles uneven and not all full has adhesive, terrible caulking, painting is cheap and easily marked, cheap shower tiles with grout not sealed, cheap carpet, no shower doors, drain very slow, washer and dryer small and low end of GE, the water line was set up incorrectly and full of sand, sliding doors constantly have bugs and debris coming through, extremely cheap windows blinds and uneven, it’s already falling apart at the back door, HVAC or thermostat no one can explain why when change from 69 to 72 within a few minutes temperature reach 72 on display or when change from 72 to 69, it jump to 75 degree working it’s way back to 69 but it takes forever to reach that setting. Constant bugs and ants and black bugs look like black pepper coming in the house. Very tiny back porch, one of the power plug the hot and ground wire was touching each other baseboards are not painted they are original color from the manufacture. Sloppy with caulking and other sticky residues, filter was dirty when I moved in causing the AC to not working properly. Garage floor are not grouted, leaving left over paint cans and buckets behind with nasty residue. Counter top not clean underneath full of white powder, some part of the kitchen are caulk and some are not. One of the kick base plate was not glue or nail in properly so it’s already fell apart in less than 1 1/2 month. My first electric bill was $205 for a very small house. I barely uses anything. above the garage has no insulation. Inside walls has no insulation, This house has no radiant barriers like my Holiday home. Smoke alarms came on randomly I had to turn of the main switch. Terrible grass in the backyard almost unusable backyard, uneven, very sharp poky grass, grow sparsely, no gutters so water coming from the roof will damage the backyard. Getting bombarded by salesman on the first day. The outlet some nice and tight but some are too loose. One of the door to the laundry room wasn’t closed properly so I had to fixed it myself. Currently I have 3 rooms AC vents closed. Two bedrooms and a bathroom to help cool master bedroom and living room cool faster, it’s not right one bit. I have my fan on 24/7 to help cool the main bedroom and living room. Would I buy Lennar again? My answer is a BIG NO! Even with low interest rate from Lennar Lender. The only good thing about Lennar at this point is their mortgage and loan officer team, 5 stars from me and their Apps and quick response team. ... More

Lennar builders don’t tell you the entire truth regarding warranty and how nothing falls under the warranty. Smoke screen of things you will receive half of the extra amenities pool etc aren’t even built because they’re so busy constantly building houses!

There was an issues on the outside and I was trying to claim that issue thru website bit it wasn’t working. So, I emailed one of the personal and haven’t got the response yet!!

We had 2 major issues, water heater not working with outside temperature about 60 degrees, AC not working with outside temperature 95 degrees. We had to take cold showers for 4 days. We had to live in 90+ temperatures without AC. We had to escalate to get anything done. Both of the above are emergencies but not for Lennar

The buying experience wasn't bad with Lennar. Communications was good. But I have to say the quality of work done on these homes is not good. Cheap materials and shoddy craftsmanship. They are thrown up as quickly as possible. For the first time home buyer, you can't beat the mortgage deals they are offering but if you can afford better, go elsewhere.

The sales rep has inaccurate information and the closing process was a hassle. They claimed the home would be locked but let someone come in and track the carpets and damage the floor. Also, didn’t get the keys during closing.

Things went pretty smoothly until the end when the fence was being put up in the wrong place, and we had to threaten to back out of the contract to get it out in the correct place. Also, we didn’t have much guidance on closing day about how to pay the closing costs. Fortunately, the title manager was able to help us, but it was very nerve racking and could have gone much more smoothly if better preparation had been done by someone before closing day to prepare us, and if someone had been assigned to meet us at closing to walk us through things. I had no idea I had to wire money straight from my bank or how to do that from my bank app. I thought someone would be present to help us but they were not until the title manager was asked to help. He was also overwhelmed with his work, but he helped us anyway. He was a blessing. ... More
