Lennar has great potential however unfortunately my experience has been subpar and least satisfactory. The workmanship is not great and customer service needs a ton of work. As a millennial I can appreciate Lennar moving towards a “one stop shop” approach, as that did make things simpler in the home buying process. However, there a still lot of areas that need work for a streamlined process to succeed and Lennar does not have that. For that reason I have not and will not recommend them as a builder. I would not trust them with another new build in the future.

Lack of communication throughout the experience, followed by people dropping the ball as far as craftsmanship. Financial side of thing were not complete until 40 minutes after closing appointment. Home was not ready for move in until 3 days after closing

It’s overall great location for places to eat and grocery stores are like 5 minutes away. The houses comes with lots of amenities and look very nice in our opinion. One thing, is appliances are being stolen from the homes before you move in and right after they are being delivered. It’s strange but it keeps happening until you close on your home and you’re moved in. When you’re driving through the neighborhood or walking around, everyone seems really nice. Coming from a custom built home, you have to adjust your expectations. Townhouse is well constructed and very comfortable but fine craftsmanship not a strength. Still, we love it.

Salesman threatened us. because we did not go with Lennar's preferred lender, which is owned by Lennar. Salesman stated in clear terms, if the lender we chose, a national mortgage company, was not ready at a moment's notice to close , Lennar would keep our deposit and sell the home elsewhere.

Not unhappy, generally speaking, but Lennar is a production builder and they're not flexible with the product they deliver. It's "garden variety". You can't upgrade anything. You get what you get.

Since day one sales representative was great and the whole process was fast track. After closing Lennar Customer service was very attentive to complete a few pending item. Lennar Customer service need to do a better coordination with their contractors to complete work orders on time during warranty period.

Bad landscaping

My backyard has been flooded the entire time we've live here. The water does not drain properly and the yard is totally unusable due to the constant standing water. Worried about our foundation. No one has even come out to look at it yet.

Overall Lennar is better then most builders in the area. The houses are solid as I was fortunate enough to watch my house be built living down the street in another Tortuga Home. Dealing with mortgage people was a challenge just getting the math correct on their end. Dealing with the Salesman, Construction Manager and Warranty Manager were easy as they always responded in a timely manner. Getting things fixed after the sale, for the most part, was in a timely manner. Nothing! This builder through my house together. The punch list was unofficial as the house was completed. The cabinets were damaged upon installation and now I have to wait 120 days before warranty will come to repair. The paint job was crappy inside and

Closing day was extremely stressful. Were we closing or not? Lennar was not able to obtain the CoO, but said it was merely a glitch at the town offices. There was so much still to complete at the house...no closet shelving, no shower doors, no mirrors in bathrooms, no sod, no landscaping, etc. It's fortunate we did not plan too move in immediately after closing. Within a few weeks we had everything resolved satisfactorily. The house is beautiful. Now we just need a completed clubhouse!

I think this was overall a really great experience with Lennar as a new home buyer. The sales agents were very responsive and informative, the construction workers are so nice and pleasant. The construction manager is amazing and really helps when you have questions. The only challenge was with the FHA Approval issues and the scheduling with Lennar Title for closing that became very unsettling for me.
