To be honest since day one I've been having bad experience with Lennars Home from the day I gave my deposit until my closing date plus things that currently have not been fixed when I was advised it will only take a week after my closing date. Just unacceptable.

Not much to say besides having to call stuff in from settling of a new home. I just wish they had installed AC or had given an option for it.

Delays in construction. The quality is terrible. We were made to do a walkthrough of the townhouse when there was absolutely nothing ready. They took another 4 weeks to complete. If that was known to the folks working there why would they schedule and walkthrough and try to close just to show the numbers at the end of month? Had roof leak on the first rain after moving in. Great response to attend that but being quality builder this is not acceptable.

The level of clear communication is key and what makes Lennar stand out. As an excited home owner in waiting, we were excited and anxious to start our new life in a new community. The Lennar team gave us that peace of mind and confidence that we made the right decision. We now have four family members that have purchased Lennar homes, from Erie to Castle Rock.

The female loan officer was a total nightmare. She had no clue how to talk to us and couldn't explain what she wanted.

I am in awe of the materials I used. they are not of good quality for the price of the house. response time is not good. Every day new details come out and it is a new house.

Evan and Justin did a great job making sure we were comfortable and satisfied. The sales rep was not very appreciative of our business. A simple "thank you" goes a long ways.

I found the construction manager and the followup great. The sales people were also very responsive and helpful. The overall construction was less than I expected for the price that I paid...ie the backyard requires more fill in order to stabilize the patio, the bathroom window is clear and look directly out on a neighbors entry, the grouting was very poorly done in many areas.

I wish communication with sales agent was easier. On several occasions, we had to initiate communication. Even if sales agent doesnt have answers, Im ok with that - but that needs to be communicated.

Poor finish work , grout @ tile work extremely poor workmanship , had a customer care representative on virtual inspection of tile work , never heard another word from lennar if they would accept or deny claim , home was very dirty when we moved in layer of dust on hard floor surface was hard to believe , expected better

The home building experience with Lennar was amazing from start to finish. Throughout the process we stayed informed and were notified of changes and updates in real time. Effective communication was a priority and for me and Lennar kept me in the loop of all the happenings. The agents with Lennar were honest and transparent. If there were any errors or delays we were notified and corrective action steps were shared right away. If I were to build again I would choose Lennar without hesitation. The homes are beautiful and look great. There are some things that could use improvement. The loan process was very tedious, was nowhere near this much issues with my first home. A lot of confirming useless info that was already provided and needed resubmitted which tells me they were too lazy to look for the documents. The home inspection was great, we pointed out the flaws and we got them fixed, my issue was sod was delayed which was understandable, but if we were the first home to move in without sod, I imagined we should be the first to receive sod, not other houses that came after ours. Other than that, no other real issues stood out. Everything was handled professionally. I feel like the quality of work obviously isnt that what they put into their model homes. But if that's what they're trying to sell then that should be an expectation, those little things count. Or else you feel like, okay they got my money and now they don't care about my service. ... This is our second Lennar home and we love the floorplan. Their homes are good values, but this one had many more quality issues than our first. Also they used to brag about how technologically advanced their homes were, but perhaps due to covid and staffing shortages, the technology in this home was essentially a DIY exercise. The home was not even close to ready when we did our walk through and the closing was bumped twice due to garage door availability. A few of the more major issues were: 1. The kitchen cabinets and granite in the kitchen weren't set properly and the range/oven didn't even fit in the resulting hole! They are going to reset the cabinets and the granite. Hopefully this will be done well. 2. The Kitchen floor also sloped and the island granite had to be shimmed 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch to level out the surface. This wasn't done well and looked really bad. We will see how they choose to fix this. 3. The door to the garage is crooked in the frame, allowing light and wind to come in. It isn't clear if this can be fixed without replacing the door. 4. Lastly, the most disappointing thing was the internet pre-wire. While they used CAT5e wiring and have a nice sized equipment box in the home, they actually terminated the CAT5 internet wire in each room with TELEPHONE plugs! This was done correctly in our 2018 Lennar home. This meant I had to rewire EVERY internet outlet in the home if I wished to use them for their intended purpose. The RJ45 internet jacks are NOT hard to come by, so this was done just because Lennar didn't want to pay their installer to do the job right the first time. 4. Most items identified before and during the walk through weren't finished at closing, and a few of the large issues are still being worked 5-6 weeks after closing. This is the fourth home we have built, but this has been by far our most frustrating home building experience. Great house and great floor plans!

Hard to say since no previous experience but our overall satisfaction is high enough, definitely will recommend Lennar

With the builder's "everything included" policy, it was simple to pick a place knowing most of what we needed was part of the package. I used Lennar Mortgage, so my purchase truly was "one stop." Everyone from the sales consultant, to the loan management team was super helpful and did everything they could to make sure the sale went through. An unexpected bonus has been the on-site construction management team that is always around to fix minor issues or answer questions about the home's features. This is my first new construction home and I couldn't be happier with the results.

The whole process was smooth and the communication was excellent throughout the entire process.

Dan the salesman was great and worked well with us. The problems seem to be with corporate and their response to our concerns. We purchased the home while we were living out of state and across the country so we were not able to observe the progress on our home being built. However, there were certain benchmarks in the building process that Lennar wanted us to be there for. The first was the pre-drywall inspection/ orientation. Since we were coming from across country we asked that we would get three weeks notice. We were assured it would be ready by the date indicated. We flew out for the inspection only to be told our house wasn't ready and that we would do a walk through of the same model at a different address. Our home wasn't ready for the walkthrough for another month. Then it came time for the final home orientation and walkthrough. Due to the fact that we were coming from across country and the airfares were considerably less a week later we asked if they could put it off a week. Corporate would not grant our request and insisted that we be there on their specific dates and close on their time frame. It was clear when we arrived that the home was not even close to being closed. The walkthrough was a disappointment and a disaster. The finishing work was horrible and still rough, the windows were all different types, the miniblinds were not all installed, it had the wrong front door, and there was a myriad of other problems too numerous to list. It was obvious it was a rush job and corporate just wanted the house " off the books". We found that the house was not even close to closing on and we refused to close on it until most of the items were fixed. We ended up closing on the house about a month later. Lennar was not very sympathetic to the trouble and inconvenience they caused us for two cross country trips that they requested we attend but were useless because they weren't on schedule. In all fairness they did pay the airfares for our final trip to close on the house, but they didn't pay any expenses or compensation. Since taking possession of our house, I noticed that the door to the downstairs was put in backwards. It will need to be completely removed and reinstalled. Overall, I feel it was a rush job and there was a lack of attention to detail. Lennar comes across as taking pride in their customer service and quality of workmanship. With the exception of a few individuals, I found neither of these in the purchase of this home. ... More
