I completed a scathing review of Lennar 5 months ago. I will summarize. I consider Lennar the worst home builder I have ever worked with and I have moved 39 times. Your prime motivator is speed , not quality. Your workers take no pride in their work and do not respect the work of others. I did not rate you in trustworthiness as I have no way to measure this, and of course your survey required an answer to submit.

Alot of dings, scratches, cracks. Wish i was told before hand about my house being so much in an incline my drive way seems like im going up a hill...hopefully my transmission will be ok going from park to reverse, because it sounds like its about to give every time a shift during parked car. We just recently bought a home in Rosena Ranch from a Lennar community. Since we've moved in, we have had to call service quite a few times for issues that should not be happening in a new home. For example, our handrail on the stairs are already having separation from the wall. It is under warranty and will get fixed, but it is very inconvenient especially because the contractors have to schedule so far out. These things should not be happening in a new home. I don't know if I trust Lennar's workmanship. The backyard was done very cheaply as well and all the neighbors complain about the ...

There were many issues to be resolved, not all of which were completed to our satisfaction. The standard answer to our issues was “It meets code” even though we did not agree and could show it was different to plan. For new home buyers, make sure you watch every stage of the development and take someone who understands home construction with you on your walk through so that you pick up all the issues.

The paint and the painters they use are the cheapest possible, there are spots where there is barely any paint. We have had 2 major leaks. No pad and apartment grade carpet which for a house that is over $500k is very sad. They say they put your front and back yards in, ok yes they do but they are put in by people who know nothing about landscape. No soil under the sod, the wrong plants. They put trees too close to the houses that will grow way to tall, big and fast.

I love the floor plan for my home but the customer service after I moved into my home has been horrendous!! I've not seen nor heard from the person who walked me through my home since he asked for a five star rating while delivering 1 star service. They've not followed up to get all the items from the original list nor address the ones I've added since the move. The quality of the flooring and cabinets is not worth the money charged! Just know that if something is broken or not working properly be prepared to wait a loooong time to have it fixed because of mishandled scheduling issues with subcontractors. Also, the repair work can only be done on week days forcing you to take days off from work only to have the workers not show up which is incredibly frustrating. It's been almost 6 months without a working master bedroom shower

Our advisor was very knowledgeable but unfortunately, he had a family emergency during our home buying process from the very beginning and was told to contact 2 other Lennar reps if we had any questions. They were no help at all. Never let us know what was going on and never returned calls. This was the most crucial time as we were in the actual home buying process. When we moved in, we had quite a few issues with things around the house and to get those things fixed it was just a nightmare. Lennar’s house plans are very well done for modern living. Materials are as advertised. Home care warranty is practically worthless. And their people can be spiteful if you get upset with their poor service.

The workmanship was poor. Lots of issues to attention to detail. When I complained, the construction managers response was that the brand new home was meant to be lived in. That response floored. I would not buy from Lennar again.

I’m extremely disappointed, with the price I’m paying for a house like this I expect small problems if any. I’ve had major construction done to an upstairs closet, missing paint in parts of my house, spots with no texture, water damage to a door, door hinges ripping from the walls. During the contract phase of the purchase we inquired about the HOA documents. They were sent to us and we signed the contract based on those documents. We went to closing with the understanding that we could build a fence based on the styles offered in the HOA documents and found out that we were given the wrong HOA documents. Lennar offered no recourse to this issue. Had we been given the correct information prior to signing a contract we would have chosen a different community. The quality of the home is subpar I have been in my residence for less than 6 months and I have already had to have major repairs to my HVAC unit and I am still looking for compensation from Lennar. The poor craftsmanship is a direct correlation to excessive billing.

Our yard wasn’t properly graded which caused flooding in our basement multiple times within the first two months. They crashed a bobcat into our house and took a long time and multiple requests to fix the damage. They didn’t put enough dirt down and sodded over straight rock in some areas... the list goes on. Apparently Lennar is too big of a company to take pride in doing the the job right.

The qualification process was completely redundant and stressful. Every step of my experience lacked communication by Lennar employees. I reached out to a district supervisor who did not even acknowledge my email nor concerns. Workmanship was not the quality I expected. I missed 8 days of work due to appointments with Lennar of which 6 were NO Shows. Video doorbell has been replaced twice.

We purchased a new build Lennar home. We loved the layout of the house and the community is just what we were looking for. So, put up with the months of construction delays (never being informed properly about the progress) which forced us to live in an AirBnB for two months. We moved into a very dirty and unfinished house, It was not cleaned well after construction and all the issues we have raised beforehand were not addressed . So, our first few weeks / months in our brand new home was spent chasing Lennar. Poor job done by the painters, bickers, gardeners and an overall poor supervision ...

We were misled multiple times during the buying process and throughout building process. We didn’t get the product we thought we were getting. We were forced to close with a 2 page list of unfinished issues and now I’m not even getting any responses to my issues that were left unfinished.
