My floor boards are coming up and my oven wasn’t hooked up correctly and it took 2 weeks to find out from Lennar we have to call the manufacturer for it to be fixed. My hvac went out about 4 or 5 times because it wasn’t level and the coils didn’t set right. We been in this house 2 months.

Poor after sales call backs and refusal to correct drainage issues. Customer service is poor.

We have had a really terrible experience with Lennar. This is our first home purchase, and we thought it would be simple and smooth being a new home. The sales office was mediocre. Pretty disorganized with only keeping track of things on paper. They weren't able to print stuff out with lot information for us, it had to be handwritten every time we asked about another lot. Next, the person who our walkthrough was not very straightforward with us. He rushed us through things, which caused us to be unable to mark a lot of things that needed to be redone. He pushed us to continue through the house even when we were not finished marking things. Next, the quality of the craftsmanship in our home in University Park is appalling. I have never seen a new home look this terrible. The baseboards are sliced and cut in places and in others they are 1/4 inch above the tile leaving huge gaps. The cabinets are out of alignment, nicked and scratched and covered in putty in places. There were nails sticking out of our wall. Our AC makes knocking noises all in the wall. The molding on top of our cabinets is falling apart. We never expected our "brand new" home to have so many issues. I will say Lennar has been trying to remedy some of the situations, but others have been missed due to a poor or nonexistent customer care rep. I have multiple issues I have submitted multiple times to them that still have not been dealt with. I'm not sure what went on in this community to make it so terrible. At this point, I would never want to buy a new Lennar home again. We have lived here for 2 months and it has been nonstop work orders and workers coming to the house nearly every day to fix things and we are still only halfway through our list. If I ever buy a new home again I will definitely not put up with the kind of care the walkthrough person gave us. Because now we have a big mess with this house to clean up. ... More

The builder did a nice job building the home. As with any new construction there are follow up issues. Those issues are not handled expeditiously and it is difficult to even talk with someone, whom to ask and where to go.

We bought a calusa. Multiple construction issues were addressed eventually but if built properly and there had been any quality oversight would never have been present when I purchased the house. Be very careful. There is no oversight on construction and things are rushed and poorly done. I am worried about what I did not find.

Balmoral is a very nice community. However, if buying from Lennar there are things a person should be aware of/pay attention to small details…such as in most Lennar homes they install one extremely small sink in the Master Bedroom. There are no gutters on the Lennar homes in our sub-development and we had to pay for after market gutter installation. The wooden fence installed is of poor quality with many holes and/or damage planks. Also, Lennar advertises the garage can fit large trucks…this is not a true statement. The garage can only fit cars and possibly a small SUV/truck. We closed on our house and arrived to all the red tape still in the house. Ask for repair people to take care of issues, it has been two months and we are still awaiting a response. Was supposed to receive new appliances, however, the dishwasher installed was grimy, moldy, soiled, and appears to be used. Asked for a replacement, and it arrived damaged. Was told it could take a month to receive a new dishwasher. It has been over a month and we are still awaiting our replacement dishwasher. Pilot light on water heater kept going out. Repair guy came 3 times within a week and finally replaced a part that appears to have fixed the issue. Note: When we called for warranty we were told the unit was in service/warranty started November 2022, however home was not completed until June 2023, and we did not purchase the home until June 2023. The air conditioner unit installed does work however, sounds like a freight train. Builders left trash and chunks of broken concrete on the property…asked for it to be removed at the beginning of June…it has been almost two months and we are still awaiting for the items to be removed. Driveway concrete developed holes within the first month in the house. I have purchased/built several homes within my lifetime and I can honestly say this has been my worst experience. ... More

3rd Lennar home we’ve purchased and this likely will be the last. Lots of incompetencies from start to finish with contract numbers being wrong or changed and overall very uncomfortable. Larry made our move in process extremely irritating. Blue tape issues weren’t fixed in several places, our carpet and tile remnants were removed and still trying to get them. He’s rude and only wants to tell us how he’s never done any of this for anyone else. $650k invested on this home and 1.4M total investment with this company and we can’t get some leftover building materials we paid for anyway? Crazy!

We moved in and it wasn’t ready. I kept asking are we still closing end of May, is it done and was told yes and in fact it was not. We have been here since end of May and things still need done. They are getting down slowly. It would have saved a lot of headache for us, if it was done prior to move in. Fortunately, my husband works from home, so he can be here when people come to fix things. We paid almost a quarter of a million dollars for this brand new house and don’t feel we should be going thru this hastle.

Don't believe what the tell you is "included" in the purchase. Get ALL in wrting down to the screws and nails

There is really not much good to say about this experience with this Lennar home. This is my second Lennar new home. I purchased the first in St. Augustine (Winward Ranch, Princeton). It had a few minor issues, but overall was a nice home. This home, first community for Lennar in Ocala FL, is a workmanship nightmare. From the curb appeal (lawns are substandard St. Aug grass full of weeds and different varieties) to the concrete work (just go for a walk in the hood and look, including mine!). The CM assigned to me did nothing (he had a complete list on April 29th, my closing was May 25th) until it was too late then walked off the job the day before my closing with a list as long as your arm to fix. The drywall is horrible with major seams in the ceiling visible (these were pointed out just after I signed contract in April, NOW, they will be disrupting our home with a major repair (once approved). Our windows were scratched to the point of the sliders needing replaced. The tile grout work is substandard as is the trim work and the painting. Overspray of the trim paint on the walls, clearly did not prep the trim prior to painting (gouges, burrs, nail holes etc). Tile in the shower near the valves bulges out 3/8 to 1/2" on an outside corner which is very visible. Garage door seals another miss. Clearly Lennar got the bottom of the barrel on the subs. It does amaze me how the subs seem to control the construction site management. This clearly is not a subdivision that Lennar should be proud of or even attempt to "showcase". ... More

The home was dirty when I moved in. It took me forever to unpack because I had to clean before I started unpacking and clean as I went along. The baseboards were filthy. The paint job was really sloppy. I’m still cleaning up paint spills and splatters off the vinyl plank flooring. Also having to touch up paint on the walls and baseboards. Communication skills were poor not only with customers, but amongst yourselves.

Fantastic experience until signing of purchase agreement. Communication from Lennar new home sales consultant was primarily limited, ambiguous and reactive throughout the building phases. Issues prior to closing left incomplete with no follow up. Construction issues discussed on closing day remain outstanding after two months. Warranty service items are not readily available for homeowners to view once submitted. Warranty service items slow to be resolved.

Poor quality material, I requested a paper copy of the HOA bylaws, I was told by the HOA that LENNAR Title should provide that to me. Traci ignored all my calls regarding that. When I purchased my home from first Texas the HOA package was given to me on the day of closing. Money ain’t everything, no one cares about customer satisfaction

It was hard to get a home through Lennar especially if you are elderly and moving from another state like Louisiana. If you don’t have a job or money enough that can show that you can afford it. You might be disappointed unless you can find a good realtor who can help you through the process. Otherwise good luck.

The overall quality for the price paid was very disappointing. The AC unit was not set up correctly and leaked in our ceiling, the trim was not straight on almost all walls, paint was splattered on our new floors and stained. The floors have nail pops and bumps, and the walls have many pops and cracks already. I would not purchase another Lennar home unfortunately. Great customer service but poor quality home.

We were shown a model home and told of all the things the home included such as blinds, two garage door openers, Wi-Fi mesh system, ring alarm, and pre-wired for electric car charger among other things. As an electric car owner this was a selling point. We were told before we signed paperwork that it had switched to quartz and not granite countertops. Which was fine. But we were not told of all the things our home now didn’t include. When we toured our finished home and realized our home was missing all the items. All we got was oops and that they didn’t know what was actually included or not included despite having a new model home that was built with the “missing” items. Our home was actually installed with a couple of the items such as a water shut off and 2nd garage door. But were both removed before sale and wires left hanging where the 2nd garage door opener was. They left the controls though so I’m not sure removing it did any good. As a public safety worker who works graveyard I had to last minute scramble to get blinds for the bedroom and bathroom. Also as a commuter I had to immediately get someone in to install a car charger. So far we have spent thousands of dollars to bring our home to the place that we thought we were getting. I am dreading what this first year will bring in the home. Lennar and the real estate person completely ruined our new home buying experience. Stay away! ... More

Sales experience was good, closing experience was rigid and uncollaborative, building supervisors were good but I was told on at least 4 occasions that pre-closing issues were done when they were not (3 issues are still not done 2 months after closing), and warranty issues are taking months to complete.

The title says it all. The only part of the process that stayed true to form was the finance section who was upfront, honest and on target through the whole process. I was told the house was a "smart house" and wifi ready; Verizon had to do to days of work just to get routine service. I was told the pool and gym would be ready by move-in, and when that didn't happen, I was told by July 4th. The pool is still a mud hole and the gym, although finished is not open to residents. The wiring in my house had to be redone, as well as a couple of my neighbors who had similar issues. I have contacted the concierge and the home rep (Paul) on 7 occasions and have one response. I had to call 3x to get my grass cut, 4x to get trash collected, and 2x to have my drainpipe reattached. Everything my salesperson (Nickole) promised was misleading. I was not even congratulated when I signed my papers, let alone a house warming gift or welcome basket. I am sure this will get deleted because I did it anonymously. I am worried about backlash from the cascades employees for my comments. ... More

The nice thing with Lennar and the point at which we purchased the home is everything was an "as is" choice, we picked the home with the features and colors we liked and did not have a million decisions and upgrades to look at. However, for the almost million-dollar home purchased from Lennar the quality of some of the materials and workmanship was disappointing. The state in which the home was delivered was also lacking with many, many spots all around the home with paint spots, spatter and/or drywall mud and grout (in the bathrooms and tiled areas) on floors and shower walls. It was highly disappointing that the feel of this new home (quality and cleanliness) has been about the same as other much more inexpensive homes we have built and purchased in the past. It was highly disappointing that other than some the appliances and the size of the home itself this did not feel like a $900K - $1Million home. ... More

This is my 3rd new construction home with a big builder and there are so many issues. Way too many appointments to count to have things corrected from things that should have been ready to go to major issues like leaks. Subcontractors are horrible and do not care about quality. Employees will say anything. Mortgage experience was not good. I didn’t find out until an hour before my closing appointment that I was set to close, so I had to rush to the bank to wire funds and then rush to get to attorneys office in time. Horrible experience and I do not feel confident in my home quality.

Joey D was great, after his part it’s been one problem after another. The bottom line is speed is prioritized over quality…and it really shows. What should be a wonderful experience has been about as fun as a root canal. Appliances, electrical, carpentry, paint, masonry, landscaping, plumbing, HVAC, stucco, cabinetry, tile - I can’t think of one aspect of our house that hasn’t had issues. Just exhausting, frustrating, and disappointing.

The bathroom in the master bedroom is leaking to the first floor, the walls are also flawed, the vegetable sink is also leaking, the bathtub is scratched and I will not be repaired, the steps of the front door are cracked, the glue on the floor leather joints on the first floor is leaking, and the alarm inside the doorbell does not make a sound. The experience is too bad for people to handle the maintenance. I hope someone can help to solve it.

Have to constantly badger customer care to get an issue resolved. A poor job was done to correct it as well. Sales and loan officers were great. Construction manager and care reps were terrible.

Some person has bad attitude while going to closing process.
