Major concern during closing: * We were sent documents containing another buyer’s personal information multiple times * Almost every email we sent to the team went unanswered * We only received a response after threatening to report it, which we ultimately did Communication failures and disorganization: * The assigned concierge repeatedly said she was the “go-to” contact, but was unresponsive for weeks at a time and rarely replied to emails * We had to track down answers ourselves by contacting multiple people * Key personnel changed during and after the process, which created confusion and no clear accountability Post-closing issues: * We were unable to get basic services like trash pickup, electric, and gas in our name for about a month and a half and did not receive our garbage cans until 6 weeks after closing * We later learned this was because the builder had not resolved required payments with the city * Even after being told it would be handled, there were additional delays and inconsistent follow-through Insurance and administrative issues: * We contacted Lennar Insurance to correct an error with our policy start date * Our homeowner’s insurance was then canceled in error * We received a cancellation notice stating it was canceled at our request, which was not accurate * After review of the recorded call, it was confirmed that this was not what we requested * We had to contact the insurance company directly to resolve the issue and have it reinstated * The issue was eventually corrected, but it created unnecessary stress and confusion Move-in condition: * The home was filthy before move-in, and we had to request it be cleaned Workmanship and finish issues: * Flooring adhesive came up onto the surface while walking, requiring extensive cleaning * Paint overspray on showers and cabinets * Paint on floors that had to be scraped off * Excessive and sloppy caulking throughout Missing or poorly installed features: * No cabinet handles were installed at all, and we were told this was “as designed,” making cabinets difficult to open * No towel racks installed Material and quality concerns: * Flat paint was used throughout, including in the kitchen and bathrooms, which is not appropriate for moisture or durability Appliance and safety concerns: * The dishwasher did not clean dishes and had to be replaced immediately * The gas stove had a faulty control; when bumped, gas could be released, which is a safety concern * We replaced both the stove and dishwasher shortly after move-in Overall, this experience reflects poor workmanship, lack of attention to detail, and ongoing communication failures. A new home should be move-in ready, safe, and supported by a responsive and organized team. That was not our experience. Buyers should be prepared to thoroughly inspect everything and advocate for themselves throughout the process. Lennar would benefit from focusing on executing core responsibilities well instead of taking on multiple areas without delivering consistent quality. ... More

For the type of money that I paid for this home, the company should install cabinets with handles. Especially to keep a modern look

These people are a joke. Expect all smiles and a helping hand right until you sign the purchase agreement, lender never answer questions, only when convenient, send paperwork to sign and 2+2≠4, virtual closing but no plan for key hand off, the concierge is useless … close to 2 months in the new house and it’s definitely not flat/even, huge gaps and tile is hollow throughout, problems with electric, appliances, bugs entering home is TOTALLY NORMAL. They will do ANYTHING to not fix the poor craftsmanship… highly recommend you shop with D.R. Horton. Overall, this was the highest level of disappointment from Lennar. While the building quality at CALUSA (3 stars) does not quite compare to Lakewood National, Cindy has been great throughout the entire process (5+ stars). We would not trust anyone more than her. Highly recommended!

Buying a Lennar home was way different than my other experience with home buying. It was fast, and wasn’t too bad in hindsight. Everything has been a little unreal when I think about it! I’m glad I chose Lennar for my new home and I appreciate their attention to detail an customer service!

Paint splatter on the floors, electrical outlets and light switches installed crooked. Water heater on ground floor but both full bathrooms and laundry room are upstairs . Why? Water faucet in backyard not in a convenient spot when you have a side yard . exterior paint sloppy.

I am recommending already Lennar to all my friends that have in mind to buy a house. Lennar is a serious professional business that have all the personal staff well trained to make the process fast and with costumer satisfaction in first place. Loved my house fully loaded with all my appliances. I took 24 days since I pick the house I like to the closing date. Loved.

Thuy was a gem. I’m not computer savvy and she was Very helpful in showing me how to find and sign documents when I got lost. It was very fast paced. We like the roomy space in the house and it’s enough for me and my husband. We were glad they allowed us to come in and sign on closing day. We’re having fun decorating our new home.

The loan processes were long and some were unnecessary. Questions to the loan office/offices were unanswered. The loan also included my credit cards balances that had been paid long before the loan closed. Requested to removed the amount received no response. I am still waiting for someone to contact me to resolve this issue.

Now with Lennar they want to sell you the house so once you have all the credentials 99.9 percent of the time you will get the house plus they will work with you to get it. My sales representative I give a big shout to him in the wv division he is the best. Going to know my son after him. It’s my first time buying a house so I learned as I go now looking back I don’t know why i was so stressed. The annoying part is giving the same information over and over again. I love my house wish it was bigger,

I am a single mom and was hoping buying my first home would be easy, but it was not. It came with several challenges. One, they told me the house would be cleaned before I moved in, and that never happened. Workers' footprints have stained parts of the floor. I had to call the warranty several times. The person who walked through the house never informed us of several things. Lennar homes are spec homes and go up very quickly. The contract manager was helpful, but once I closed on the house and he promised things, he could no longer help out, and I had to jump through hoops to get things resolved. ... More

Overall, my homebuying experience with Lennar was great. The entire process is very systematic; the portal for buying and underwriting made it easy to track progress every step of the way. Christina was especially wonderful and provided excellent help throughout the underwriting paperwork process. Additionally, the maintenance team has been fantastic. Since moving in, they have been incredibly fast and responsive in taking care of the minor issues I’ve needed fixed. The only significant issue I encountered—which almost led me to cancel my contract on the last day—was a lack of communication from my Lennar agent. When I had concerns regarding construction fixes, she was unresponsive and didn't look into the issues. When I expressed my frustration, her response was simply that I could cancel, rather than researching the problem. Fortunately, the construction manager did the research and discovered that I simply hadn't been copied on the responses and that the work had actually been addressed. It was a disappointing hurdle in an otherwise pleasant process. I would recommend the builder for their efficiency and post-close service, but I hope to see better proactive communication from the sales side in the future. ... More

I will never apply for a lennar home or affiliate again...bate and switch, bunch of liars.

The sales representative was excellent. He always immediate addressed our concerns. I did find the closing process quite confusing. New information can being forwarded to my email without explanation. seemed to be a very confusing process with lack of overall direction.

We recently moved into our new home in Waterwheel–Coastline/Hilltop in San Antonio. The sales and closing process was generally organized, and communication during that phase was clear and supportive. However, there were serious issues that should not be overlooked. While we were still under contract, there was an attempt to release or offer the property to another buyer. This is not a minor misstep—it reflects a significant breakdown in internal coordination and created unnecessary stress during an already critical process. Post-closing, my experience with the warranty team has continued to be frustrating. There appears to be a pattern of deflecting responsibility, with concerns being dismissed or attributed to the homeowner without thorough or objective evaluation. This lack of accountability is disappointing, especially considering the expectations that come with purchasing a new construction home. While the initial sales experience was positive, both the pre-closing incident and the warranty handling have impacted my overall confidence. I hope these concerns are taken seriously and addressed to improve the experience for future homeowners. ... More

From start to finish, it was a frustrating process. Underwriting was extremely poor asking for docs that should not have been needed, especially based on my time on my W2 job and my extremely high credit score. The workmanship was subpar. The roof was deemed poor and in need of being replaced by the home inspection done prior to close. Roof still hasn’t been replaced but there were MANY shingles that had to be replaced/secured due to heavy wind storms last month. I don’t even think they put padding under the carpet in the room in the front of the house (could be a dining or sitting room, but we use it as a playroom). Overall, the home seems good, so far, but unsure I would recommend Lennar, or for sure not to do financing through them. ... More

Everything is perfect but some small things could be improved For example the parking space outside the garage is not large enough it’s difficult to park two cars

The yard overall is below average, numerous dead grass spots, grading on three sides is very uneven with depressions unusually deep and makes it hard to walk on due to how uneven it is, have seen the other Lennar neighborhood in Loris I was considering and was impressed with the yards there so was expecting same. The walkway from front door to driveway is not usable during heavy rain as tge roof water explodes off the roof in a few areas and douses the walkway. The interior is fine so far and the hvac, plumbing and electrical has all been good so far, the overall product for the cost point is fair, just disappointing a new home would have such a violent rainwater drainage issue that make the walkway unusable. The yard overall is horrendous workmanship regarding prep and leveling, really poor result compared to other new properties I have purchased, I wish at this point I would have gone a different direction with my decision to purchase a Lennar home. ...
