Disappointment

Did not anticipate as many issues with a brand new construction which I continue to run into. It seems that the rush to build to sell these houses is a priority and attention to detail is not. I trusted Lennar to deliver a finished home to the expectation as identified when it was sold to me. That was not the case. From an unclean house to malfunctioning garage door is not what I expected when I set out to purchase a newly constructed house. Very disappointed.

Horrible experience this time around

I don’t know where to begin with our frustrations. This is the 4th house we’ve built and 2nd with Lennar. We were a return customer bc the our 1st experience was great from the sales agent they the after purchase customer experience. This time was a huge fail. The biggest fail being the sales agent. And that’s a huge statement considering we had to have our master bath redone due to a water leak and mold issues within the first month. Our sales agent was not responsive to our texts/calls on many occasions. I even had to call the ft Myers office twice to get an answer about the build. We ...

Cleaning crew ruined my counters

My countertops were ruined in between the final walkthrough and my move in date. The cleaning crew was horrible and left streaks from a dirty rag on my white countertop. This left brown streak on my counter that after multiple cleaning attempts from Lennar can still be seen at the right angles. There’s was and still is paint all over everything from the paint “touch ups”. There is still tape from the yellow tape walkthrough on my walls. My floor is starting to gap between the planks.

I was excited about having an all-in-one home buying process. The financing side was easy, and the loan officers were helpful and responsive. The only issue I experienced during financing was the third-party verification process they would call and sometimes keep me on hold for hours while confirming information. It wasn’t ideal, but it was manageable. Unfortunately, my experience with the construction team and the overall quality of construction was much less positive. The construction manager repeatedly made excuses for repairs that were not completed on time. The paint work throughout ...

Home purchasing was easy - my sales agent did a great job. However the quality of the house turns to be below the code standards, the project manager who came for walk through was lost in his own world saying very blue tape is as per the code standards.

I just closed on my 8th home, and unfortunately, this was the most unprofessional and frustrating experience of them all. While I am thrilled to be in Carnes Crossroads, the process with Lennar was a major letdown. Key Issues: Poor Construction Management: My construction manager was so sloppy that I eventually gave up on a repair request and fixed it myself before closing. Subcontractor Negligence: Contractors left permanent stains on the garage floor, deck, and concrete outdoor areas that cannot be removed. Lennar Mortgage was the WORST: I was cycled through three different ...

I am extremely disappointed with my experience purchasing a new home from Lennar, and I strongly caution future buyers to double-check their contracts. You expect a brand-new build to be move-in ready, but ours has been a nightmare of poor craftsmanship and what feels like a deliberate bait-and-switch. First, our appliances were delivered more than five weeks late. When they finally arrived, Lennar severely downgraded them from what we paid for. Our contract clearly stated a refrigerator value of $2,440, but they delivered a model worth only $1,048. The contract also listed the washer and ...

I would not buy from Lennar again

The whole experience was not what I imagined being my first time buying a home. There is a lot of poor communication. They lied about the HOA amount prior to locking you in on the mortgage. I have emailed and call multiple people but no one has got back to me to fix the issue. Logan is one of the saleman and I believe just want to make his commission so he will tell you anything so be careful. Do not trust anything the people from Lennar says. I personally should have listened when other warned me about them. You live and you learn. I do not recommend it at all.

My experience buying a home from Lennar was extremely disappointing. The construction quality was poor, with noticeable defects and rushed workmanship throughout the house. Communication was frustrating and inconsistent, and issues we raised were either delayed or ignored. For such a major investment, the lack of attention to detail and customer service was unacceptable. I would not recommend purchasing a home from this builder.

The home is build with inexpensive materials, like simple wire shelves in the main closet or pantry. It does not have any bathroom amentities (think toilet paper holders or medicine cabinet). During the orientation I listed various items on a punch list to be resolved before closing, however two months after closing nothing has happened and Lennar went quiet.

While we understand that there may be issues with any new build, this experience has been utterly frustrating and exhausting. Quality of materials is poor, quality of workmanship is non-existent! There was more paint on the floors than on the walls, the grout work was messy at best, greasy foot print on the carpet, faucets are cheap and starting to break and we've only been here 1 month. Still blue tape left all over the house from the 2 walk through sessions. Very few items have been fixed adequately. We need to re-caulk all the bathrooms because they were not done correctly. The windows ...

Terrible quality control, no finishes were Protected and it showed. I was rushed to close and have an open punchlist ongoing now almost 3 months. Certainly will not be telling anyone over at Lakewood national to move over or tell anyone I know unless they want to accept an overpriced sub par home. I could go on but none if this will make a difference cause you’re only interested in money, not the customer experience or quality. You cannot expect 1 CM to run 10-20 homes and get the same quality. By all means call me and I’ll explain from a general contractor side of things.

The house is nice, but since I’ve been in my home I have had to replace tankless heater, washer is not working well, a lot of calking is cracking, the tile is very cheap and cracking throughout the house. For the price the house is valued at , it should not be valued over 300k. The sod in the yard was put down poorly and the garage door is already messed up. Not too happy with all the things wrong but I am happy I have property and will most likely sell in a few years not what I was expecting at all.

Quality and Accountability Concerns After Purchase

My experience with Lennar has been challenging and, at times, disappointing. From the outset, several issues were either missed or inadequately addressed, including problems identified during the inspection and final walkthrough. Some repairs were delayed, minimized, or proposed with solutions that did not meet reasonable quality standards. Communication required frequent follow-up on my part, and concerns often had to be reiterated multiple times before receiving attention. While some issues were eventually acknowledged, the overall process lacked consistency, accountability, and the level ...

Buying a home in a tract in a Lennar community seems to come with certain expectations, but unfortunately, the construction quality fell short. Throughout the build, it appeared there were no meaningful quality inspections. From the foundation to nearly every trade involved, workmanship was poor—issues ranged from substandard framing and electrical work to walls with extremely thin paint coats. Can be described as a dusting of paint at best The “celebration walk” was disappointing and felt like a waste of time. We hired a home inspector, but that effort was ineffective because our Lennar ...

This home buying experience was frustrating from start to finish. The build quality did not match the price. Multiple issues showed up that should have been caught before closing. Finishes felt rushed and inconsistent. Communication was weak. Getting updates or answers took repeated follow-ups. Problems were acknowledged but moved slowly, if at all. Some items were marked complete without being properly fixed. Value for the price was disappointing. You pay a premium but still end up chasing basic corrections.
