The home purchase with our loan officer was great. The closing process was very disappointing. We were denied our keys after closing because of a $49.00 last minute fee by the title company. Never do business with Lennar again and will not recommend to my other investors.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Glen,

We thank you for sharing your feedback and sincerely apologize for the negative experience you encountered at closing, particularly the issue with the last-minute fee and the delivery of your keys. I have shared your comments with upper management for their review.

Homeowners have been waiting 2 years for a pool. We can’t rent out or enjoy our vacation home without a pool. Prompt response to fix issues. We are happy with our unit and appearance of community.

Didn’t disclose the removal of windows above the patio doors, didn’t disclose the drainage ditch in the middle of the back yard. We bought the land with the understanding that the back yard was to be fairly flat now we have a 3 foot deep ditch through the middle which was never told to us.

Lennar responded:
Hi Marlyn, we thank you for your review and feedback. We also apologize for this issue that you have faced. -Please reach out to us of you need anything else with your new Lennar home. -Lennar Customer Care

This is our second home bought from Lenner Homes. We expected much because of our previous experience in home buying with them. This time around, the quality fell quite a bit. The communication and coordination between the Lennar team is so bad it seems like they have not worked together at all. Everything seemed rushed including the quality of the home and the process itself. As an example, on the first home we were interested in, we filled in all requirements and was half hour away from providing the earnest money with all paper works "all good" according to Lennar finance. Five ...

Lennar responded:
Hi there, we thank you for your continued loyalty as this was the second home you purchased from us. With this being said we also want to apologize because it seems that the second experience was not up to standard. We apologize for the inconveniences that may have come out of this. We always strive for a smooth and enjoyable process for our homeowners. We are going to inform our division leaders about this so we can help improve to provide better experiences. -Lennar Customer Care

I was told that I didn’t need a realtor and that the process would be easy. But has a first time home buyer, there were things that was not explain to me. Such as, when first looking at homes, I was shown 3 different floor plans. Only one floor plan was explained on what came with the home “the package”. When shown the next two home nothin was explained, so I assumed all homes came with blinds, full sod, and irrigation. Additionally, my home concierge was hard to get a hold to and didn’t respond at times with my questions. Furthermore, my loan officer was asked by me to go over fees and the ...

Lennar responded:
Hi Tamara, we apologize to you for not having a pleasant first time homebuying experience. Communication during this time is something that is extremely crucial and we want to apologize for this. The overall buying process was truly terrible. The sales representative didn’t seem confident in our ability to get approved. We spoke with 2 different loan officers who provided us with different information. When we ran into miscommunication issues about our initial approval, our sales representative was ready to cancel our contact as if she didn’t want to deal with us. We had to escalate our issues to management for issues with sales team and loan team. We were asked to provide additional funds for closing which was told hours before. If we didn’t really want this home, we probably ...

Second, we apologize for the rest of the experience feeling like it was a mess and the lack of communication. This is the strangest homebuying experience I’ve ever had. Admittedly, I’ve never purchased a brand new home before, but I’ve never had so much miscommunication/misrepresentation(?) in a business deal before. While every person that I have worked with at Lennar has been nice and (seemingly) helpful, I constantly got incorrect information and made decisions based on that incorrect information. The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing - as they say. Particularly problematic were the people in the mortgage department but the issue is across-the-board. I don’t plan on ever ...

All representatives for Lennar were great. The exception is the loan process. I understand policy and procedures. But the lack of attention to detail and accountability caused a lot of stress. My loan was approved the day before I had to vacate my apartment and started my new job. I supplied documents that were submitted multiple times...emails, pay slips...Other than that everything else was handled professionally.

1. Have it written into the sales agreement that the lawn & landscaping will be delivered in a condition that is acceptable to the buyer (modify this wording). At closing the grass was over 12 inches and Lennar refused to resolve. Likewise with the actual sod which had been laid haphazardly to such an extent that in places one could roll their ankle if they were not careful. 2. Review the HOA Agreement and gain an understanding of what rules are superseded by the CDD (Community Development District). example "Street Parking". Sales agent affirmed that the HOA prohibits street parking. ...

My bad experience was with Lennar Mortgage. With proof of employment, excellent credit and a generous down payment, they were not able to past the fact that my employer would not provide proof of remote employment. It was so frustrating that I paid cash for the house just not to have to deal with them. As far as the workmanship - overall, the house is fine but there are a list of issues where they just got lazy and did not check their own work.

Overall, Lennar builds a decent house. However, as I’ve now learned, local workers impact the quality of the final build and buying experience a great deal. My first Lennar home was immaculate at closing. This new one was not complete, had a long list of things to finish or redo, and very dirty. Since closing Lennar has made some effort, albeit very disjointed and longer than it should be, to take of the issues. There were a number of problems in the buying process that led to delays in closing. In the three times this occurred, we were not informed until the very last minute and without ...

The overall process wasn't smooth and the negotiation part could have been better. I didn't have a lot of trust in all that process, seemed like something was all the time hidden from me. When moved I noticed a lot of things were done quickly, just to be done. Especially painting and finished. Lots of things left unfinished which aren't covered by warranty. Overall process I think could have been better. For the future reference, try and negociate the more you can, don't rush and if you finance with Lennar and you don't like your mortgage officer, switch to a different one. That will ...

Going through Lennar for the mortgage got a better rate, but their people have no common sense. Totally aggravating. Closing was ok. Terrible follow up on punch list items. No call backs. Been in for over a month and they have disappeared, but still building across the street. I would not buy from them again.

The experience of purchasing the house was terrible. The project manager was never around, wouldn't return calls and didn't even make the final walk through of the house before my closing. Assuming he was busy and everything would be taken care of and fixed from our first walk through before closing - NEVER ASSUME SOMEONE WILL DO THEIR JOB. I closed on the house and literally all I was given was the keys to the house and 2 garage door openers. When we opened the door to the house, it was dirty, had not been fully cleaned, tiles in floor were cracked, caulking and painting needed to be ...

Buying the home at Orange Blossom was relatively simple, but getting any kind of response or accountability after closing is a completely different issue. Punch out items remain outstanding months later & the home is full of blue tape. Damaged fittings and poorly finished features detract from the pleasure of buying this home. Never assigned a Customer Service contact point, I find dealing with Lennar frustrating & unsatisfactory.
