Not a Great Experience, Rushed Workmanship on the building of the home

Lennar's workmanship is not what it used to be...it was top notch many years ago when we purchased a prior home. This time around, the workers who built the home did not pay attention to detail; some of the finished work was sloppy, no attention to detail in some areas and overall I attribute it to rushed work. Thumbs down for me on Lennar: I would consider other builders in the future - I wouldn't exclude Lennar, it's just that I would not make them my 1st choice of builders any longer. I’m not happy with lennar’s policies. First they show me different color when house get ready then it’s color was totally different which I doesn’t like. Their designs I doesn’t like. Inside of the house is also very basic. And house construction material is very cheap. And my real estate agent is super rude, very unprofessional and very short tempered. I guess if you are paying cash this would not pertain to you. Buying a home should be a time for celebration of a great achievement, instead, with Lennar Homes, this was a frustrating and disheartening experience. The lender leading up to the closing date was the worst experience. I would never use Lennar as a lender. I had to get a backup loan because so many mistakes their officers made. The loan officer and processor didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Once we got the house we needed so many repairs, they are building so fast they make so many building mistakes , crooked walls leaks. The only positive experience has been with kristine she handles all the repairs and issues after move in.

This is probably the last home I will purchase with Lennar. The entire experience was extremely frustrating, once the initial agreement was done with Lennar, I had a terrible time getting any response from the sales team or the finance team. They had six to seven weeks to close the loan that was done through Lennar finance, however I got CD an hour before the actual closing was scheduled. Our sales rep she was amazing. She did everything that she could do to help us and she was there no matter what time or day we emailed or called her. The whole Lennar experienced was a disgrace. Lennar did not communicate well with other Lennar employees which made my experience a bad one. From purchasing, workmanship, and responsiveness have greatly made me put this business at the bottom of my list, due to the fact they don't care about their customers, nor timelines to get things done. Highly do not recommend anyone ever buying from this company cause they are really just out to get your momey.

Difficulty getting earnest money back when not qualify for loan.

Didn't qualify due to not meeting the FHA requirement. I asked Lennar to send my Earnest money back. It has been weeks and still waiting. Only thing I got was they sent me a document to sign that said Refund back to buyer: $0, without any explanation. I did not sign it and am still waiting for my earnest money. Our salesperson didn’t know what was going on, i had a different person for every step which was annoying, I want one person to deal with through out the process! Terrible company and miss managed badly. Thank goodness i had my own realtor to help deal with all the different people at Lennar. I’ll never buy another Lennar home. Oh nothing is square in the house, I’m having other work done and there having to make adjustments to install things because nothing is square. Cheap track built home

I have been in this building for a month and we have an electrical issues with the breaker since the beginning of the closing. They have already changed the breakers 2 times and it has not solved the issue there is still a problem. It hasn't been a month, we have a leak in the sprinkle system which caused us to have a large amount in the water bill. We also just had a problem in the floor lamination. This really frustrates me to the point where I have to fill up a different warranty claim for a different problem every single week.

This was one of the worst homebuying processes I have had to go through, I feel the employees are incompetent in some departments and making big mistakes with numbers that caused me to change my loan type at the last minute, change my move in date, change my mortgage payment, and it was just an overall bad experience.

The microwave was not installed for our inspector to check it. They installed it last minute and left 2 screws out and unaligned. They didn’t let us blue tape the house and A LOT of the issues we asked to be fixed just weren’t. The construction manager worked by himself to fix those and we had to come back the same day to approve it. Overall, the quality of the home is not good. Multiple issues upon moving including massive unfinished hole in pantry wall in which ants swarmed the kitchen less than a week upon moving in. Leaks in sinks. Problems with scheduling people to come out for repairs. The people that have come for repairs have been polite and overall helpful, however, in a new home these issues are disappointing. These are on top of the lack of communication from sellers and mortgage and issues that my realtor has never seen. And losing home insurance because Lennar never paid the first prior to selling installment.

The process of buying the home was not a smooth purchase at all. Our Lennar rep put us in a bind even though we had brought up the issues in advance. The construction crew left a mess on the exterior so I was having to pick up paneling boards and other materials that were left behind. I wear braces on both legs so struggled to bend over to pick up heavy paneling. They did not level out the top soil before putting the sod down and we had asked for this.
