Hidden charges and surprises in the buying process

They offered great interest rate but be aware of hidden charges and surprises during the buying process. The craftsmanship is below average. You might encounter rudeness from the sales rep too. I do not recommend this builder.

very poor quality of workmanship for such a over priced house.

The house is not 55 + friendly because of not having the walking- in shower for upstair, or guest bathroom. No landing on staircase. very poor quality of kitchen cabinet kitchen cabinets without roll out trays or drawers which does not make sense for olderly people. Kitchen cabinet doors are not even self-closing. caulking, paint job are very bad quality. sheetrock joints are poorly done and wall are uneven needs resurfacing before painting. no upgrade option or no choice of color of flooring is bad. The communication was horrible up and down. I am military and had to constantly ask to change my schedule because they were delayed. The flooring that is used in the house is horrible and whomever installed it did a bad job. I feel the house was a rush job. I don’t feel like the people that was involved with the paperwork were not on the same page with each other everyone lines were crashed as far as dates

The mortgage and title company were both an absolute nightmare to work with, horrible communication, not disclosing things properly, and the layout of how things were going to work, were not at all in the order/flow. Everything was very confusing. This was the worst new home process I have ever seen. The new home concierge that we were told to contact never responded to emails. Mystic is the warranty rep, she has been awesome in following up and staying on top of items needed to be fixed (there has been a lot.) If I had only dealt with Mystic, would get 5 stars. Lennar is very hands off, they have little to no communication, on every side. Sales, mortgage and especially construction/warranty really do not make an effort once the sale is made.

Well, I can’t write a good review! Our irrigation system in front still doesn’t work! Our spa heater didn’t work for at least a month after we closed! The permits on the pool and pool cage and gas line were not closed before we moved in. We finally got ahold of Lennar Representative that helped us.. We were caught in the middle of Lennar and Holiday pool! You think you would want to make this process happy for people, we just bought a new home! Then you have to contend with warranty work! You never talk to anyone, just get on your computer and put in a request for warranty work!! Warranty ...

We were told we had to close, did not have Certificate of Occupancy. At final walk through only 80% of the work was completed. 3 months later we are still waiting on ‘blue tape’ items to be finished.

The process went fairly well until closing. Gutters were suppose to be included as an option and we emphatically told the sales person doing the final contract we wanted them. We had even had a specific discussion about that when we were first looking at Lennar homes. We were assured by the sales person we could get them as an option on homes in Brunswick Plantation. He accidentally forgot to mark them off on the final options list. We were buying out of state so could not come down to see it until closing. Been waiting on someone to come and fill up the utilities trench that sunk after a little rain. There's a big hole that stretches all along my back fence where utilities run. Sigh! Most frustrating, costly purchase I made. The Lennar mortgage was the most frustrating. Realator was ok. The warranty guys had some hiccups, but they were probably the shining stars in a full galaxy, but the 3rd parties they use are awful.

Poor quality and lack of knowledge at its best

A builders grade paradise. We don't know, or we don't do that are the mottos around here. No consideration for the overall ambience of the development, homes are built with lack of the consideration of the ability of the buyers who are new to the area to have access to services and information of availability unless you are willing to be Facebook savvy and trusting of your "neighbors". Air leaks and failing " finishing" touches are common, the washouts of the so called irrigation system are not only annoying but dangerous at times. You get the picture. And it only promises to get worse.

We just bought a house and it came completely filthy. Paint splatters all over the floor. Screen door not fixed as they told us it would be. They just rush you through and pressure you to sign off and make promises that they don’t stick to. Beware on the construction sign off.

- Hard to find the right person to explain the detailed T&C in the contract documents. - No one tells the whole flow, and the progress. Many Lennar internal teams like Lennar Insurance, Lennar Title, Lennar Mortgage, are not talking to each other. Wow, where do we start? When we actually stepped into the home, it was completely different than what we anticipated. One layout we received didn’t match on the AC units. We should have 2 and they insisted that we were only supposed to have 1 unit in a 2-story 3,000-square foot home. From beginning to end our home buying experience with lennar was disappointing. When we bought the property in November we were told an August finish date and everything was delayed till December the following year. During the time from putting our initial deposit and signing the contract to breaking ground there was no form of communication from anyone representing lennar.
