Big company however some individuals are not representing its mission statement

I was so excited about purchasing a home with Lennar but unfortunately my excitement was short lived once I signed my settlement and received the keys to my new townhouse. Immediately I noticed the poor craftsmanship of my new build it was like the builder rushed putting the house together. There were noticeable errors and issues throughout my home that I’m still working with customer care to fix (which is a nightmare within itself). I reached out to the builder to address the issues and we scheduled a time to do a walk through inspection of my home and he never showed up for the appointment nor did he reach out to let me know that he couldn’t make it or to reschedule. I can’t believe the unprofessionalism of the builder. I should’ve known that this process would be a nightmare once I was misled by the builder about the size of my lot and the backyard which is a lot smaller than what was originally told to me. Another issue I had was with the Lennar title team, somehow my home insurance was not included in my closing cost like it was suppose to be so I had to scramble to make sure that a payment was made so my policy would not be canceled. My loan officer was great but the negligence of the Lennar title team is baffling. I wish I would’ve did my due diligence before purchasing with this development. Got two issues with in 2 months. One of those issues fix is not satisfactory.

After sales service is very poor, they do not respond to service requests. I have an open ticket from since December 2021 and no one has attempted to resolve it. Once they have your money, good luck to you, if you have warranty issues,

It’s been 2 months since I’ve closed on my house and there’s still a long outstanding list of items that still need to be complete. The only one who responds is the customer service Mgr who has to work with construction Mgr and their contractors who do poor quality work if they show up at all. This has been a nightmare and I’m embarrassed to show my new home to anyone. I can’t enjoy it or do anything to it until certain items remaining are done. Instead of being happy with buying my first home I’m disgusted each day that I look at things not fixed/done.

Unhappy with quality and lies

they make what they call and exceptions list. this to be fixed right away 1/2 the items are not on the list. non-responsive to fix anything. the worst builder we have felt with and had 6/7 new homes built . our building supervisor is terrible and non truthful. 0n a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being the best lerrar is a 2

Very poor service after sale. Do not recommend this builder. You will not be a priority after you close. Warranty repairs have poor workmanship and take longer to fix than it takes to build the house.

Finishing work was very poor

Quality of workmanship/materials used are very low

First time buying house with them and was very disappointed! Lots of unprofessional workers on drywall, painting and electrical. They have to revisit my place many times after final walk.

Craftsmanship and finishing is poor.

Where to begin? When we started the process everything was on point and the communication with the seller was awesome. After we signed the contract in February they promised us the completion date was going to be between July and August. It wasn't until November that we finally got our home. The seller didn't even answer on time; sometimes I was ignored for days. Not even Lennar customer service was able to help me get the answers I wanted. No answer for the solar, the process, the delays... nothing. On top of that Lennar Mortgage was even worse; no communication at all!!! It was a painful experience from start to finish. Even at closing, my house didn't have all the doors in place. Caulkin, plumbing, painting, and flooring issues from day one. They even planted a dead tree in front of my house and it's still there. I have opened around 10 tickets since November and will keep doing it since every day there's a new minor issue with the home. I will never recommend anyone to buy from Lennar!!! ... More

Poor floor quality no happy with first floor material

I recently purchased a brand new everything is included lennar home unfortunately, i as well as many other homeowners in the community have had an avalanche of issues. Faulty/ low quality garage doors, low quality workmanship throughout house. A real disaster

Would not recommend to others

As soon as I moved in, a huge leak occurred in the master bedroom shower that caused a lot of damage and the response from Lennar customer service was horrific! The workmanship is terrible it looks like they just cut as many corners as they could. The paint job is horrible, it looks like they did one coat of paint and didn’t do it well you can see white spots everywhere. All of the toilet paper holders and towel holders are loose it looks like they drilled holes bigger than the anchors and just left it like that! The houses are so tight next to each other you can’t even get in and out of your house without almost hitting your neighbors cars. I am extremely disappointed with this builder! ... More

There are a lot of small problems. When I found the microwave vent was not even connected it made me wonder what other problems are here that I can’t see. There also was a water leak that took 6 weeks to repair even though it was reported immediately. Who ever installed some PVC pipe didn’t glue it correctly. We were told the water on the floor was from a pressure washer. The leak went uncorrected for 6 weeks causing mold under some carpet so it all had to be removed by a restoration company. Other problems with the quality of materials used. Seems like they will fix the issues, but they don’t seem to be in a rush nor do they seem to think the poor construction is abnormal. What happened to America’s best builder. We own 3 Lennar Homes and in 6 years they have fallen to a terrible level. We will not buy a Lennar hone in the future.

Check every nook and cranny before signing papers.

Do not close on the home until all issues are resolved! Also be aware about the patch jobs they do on driveways as they offer no warranty. We have issues with our driveway that where pointed out prior to closing on both inspections and Lennar now wants to try the same failed patch job again. The builder claims it is up to industry standard, but I have never seen a piece of foam siding imbedded in the concrete be considered industry standard. This is just one of 75 issues identified on the final inspection- the little things they will resolve fast, but the larger issues have large hurdles and even after multiple emails with pictures, we still receive pushback. If my wife wasn’t working from home the majority of issues would never have been resolved and would of forced us to take time of from work to get these issues handled. This experience has been disappointing and frustrating. The finish on the construction is also lacking. For example, in the garage there are gaps in the cinder blocks that are also considered industry standard apparently. All I can be thankful for is that apart from 2 leaky sinks and one wobbly toilet we haven’t had any serious plumbing issues. ... More

Don't buy New Builds from Lennar. The homes are not worth the price because the quality is not there. The materials that are used are low end and cheap especially in the interior of the home. The companies they hire to complete the inside of the homes have no repect for quality of workmanship. My house is terrible and I regret buying it!

Things were rushed and as results details missed. A new home should be almost flawless.
