No brusures and feature list were given to customers. The salesman just texts the information to your cell phone. They does not provide sliding screen door as it should. They rush to conduct the final walkthrough when the construction is still under going without water. The doors can not closed without forced pushing. During online closing, the customers do not received the contact list of the utility companies, schools and emergency response. They did not disclose the 1% builder fee upfront.

Have difficulties with the salesman.

My husband and I have purchased three brand-new homes in the past 35 years. This experience was by far the worst experience. From poor responsiveness by the sales team to the construction team to the customer care team, it's incredible to me that Lennar can survive. That said, we are in our home and love it. We are looking forward to being out of the warranty period in ten months. It seemed as though we had to and continue to have to pull teeth to get responses or items taken care of. The item of most frustration to us is the customer care department head in Colorado. We are speechless at how he has treated us and how Lennar allows it to keep happening. ... More

Purchase experience was ok. Lots in fine print on paperwork not discussed. Many visits here during construction and there is virtually no follow up on issues. Many were not addressed until after closing and our home wasnt even cleaned. Common areas are a mess and hoping a service ticket helps that. Cabinets needed full adjustment after closing. Walls not straight. Would not have bought this home if we knew then what we know how. Sorry

Make sure you get everything fixed before you buy and sign that dotted line. also, give it all a really good look and get your own professional to review your house. quality of certain materials like doors very cheap and can hear everything from room to room in through the wall, and every foot step in house.

Pushy sales people with very little empathy for those of us trying to sell homes in this market. Cheap appliances, carpet, fixtures, paint, window sills… thin walls that let in traffic noise, and the cabinetry (small, not soft close) comes without hardware, which means you have a hard time opening your kitchen drawers! Poor management to welcome buyers into the home and help understand all the implications of utility easements, fence install, other HOA rules causing a lot of anxiety among neighbors and shattering visions. 30 day inspection seems to be purposed to talk you down from the items you submitted. End-to-end… rubbed me the wrong way. If I didn’t have to move, here, and at this time, I would have pulled out. Not sure how the other builders are in the neighborhood, but we definitely felt unimportant and take-it-or-leave-it style as opposed to Lennar ensuring their home building facilitates better lives. ... As an out of state buyer it was not a pleasant experience! I would never do this again! I should have never continued with the closing when things were not completed in my home as promised but I did on good faith. Promises after promises to get things done but as of yet it was not completed! Voicemails, calls ,text messages all ignored! When you have a home in another state and you reach out to the sales rep and the head of construction just to be ignored it beyond stressful! I will be arriving to my home in Naples in November and will have to deal with warranty still not a happy buyer!

This is the second house I bought from Lennar, the first wasn't too bad and of course some issues came after I moved in. For the second house things were not really good from the beginning, too many issues I found after I moved and for the price that we paid I was expecting a better quality on the construction but it's Lennar what el we can expect, look around some other options and make sure that you are going to get what your money is paying for. My advice is to try to avoid this builder if you can.

The number one selling point for this house was the backyard. On two occasions, Brittany told us our back yard was from the neighbors fence to our left to the neighbors fence to our right. During the initial showing we asked where the side boundaries were and she said we are “lucky because our neighbors have built fences and all we need to do was tie our fence to theirs”. My wife, myself, and our realtor all heard the same thing. Of course we all ooh’d and ahh’d about the backyard. During the walk through right before closing, she reiterated the same thing, which was again, heard by my wife, myself, and our realtor. After closing we received the plot plan that showed that there is a common area between us and our neighbors to the left, so we can’t tie our fence into theirs, meaning the backyard is smaller than she had advertised. We reached out to her and she doesn’t remember ever saying anything about the size of the yard, which again, was heard by three people. Unless this is corrected we are intending to sue. ... More

Our sales agent was great when we first looked at the house and when we first signed the paperwork. After that everything went downhill. Our sales agent was no longer timely in responses and our Lennar Loan Agent was very unresponsive throughout the process to the point we went with an outside lender. He wasn’t explaining things as they were happening and just kept asking for more info anytime we reached out to check in on the process, this was the only time he talked to us. When the outside lender got us the loan and we presented it to Lennar we were told “well they got you the loan the same way we would have, so you have to use us.” Got put with the same agent who straight up told us “I don’t have time to do your loan because of the complications in it (we are 1099) so I am going to suggest to my managers to let you go with the outside lender.” Once we finally got close to closing, an updated price happened due to lack of product. We were updated and our realtor was updated but nothing was said to our broker which caused our closing to be pushed back due to paperwork having to be redone and numbers recalculated. At our blue tape walk through all of our switch and plate covers were absolutely covered in overspray as was the top of the refrigerator and the fans. There is a clear dent in the wall in the loft that looks like a door went through the wall and they patched it badly. We are currently dealing with a mold issue in our front hall closet because the drywallers put the shelf anchor directly into the main drain pipe for the house and it has been leaking into the wall for close to two months. Also the HOA expanded to include a sub-HOA for our neighborhood while we were under contract and we were not notified. We did not receive any HOA documents until a week AFTER we closed on our house even though we had been asking our sales agent for these documents for weeks prior. ... More

We close on a home that is worth almost 500k and the entire house was dirty, including all widows, bathtub, shower, rug and drywall was cracked . there were multiple holes that we told was going to fixed before closing but they were not. When i came into the house after closing, i was suprised. Is been over a month, and am still looking for a product that will remove stain and foot mark on my floor. I told the construction manager the day after we moved in but she ignored me. She also called me troubled another time, i spoke to her. They left a bucket of dirty water in the bedroom. I can't believe it. Bad job done overall. The house was rushed. I don't think I will refer anyone to lennar. The only reason why I rate this a 2 is only because of the customer Care. They responded to me immediately and fixed what they could. The guy in charge was so helpful. If I was to rate him alone, I will give him a 5 star. ... More

We moved in to our home on August 29, 2023. From the time of the 1st walk through, it was a rough go. There were many things to be fixed which is to be expected. What wasn’t expected was the way things were handled. We were told we had to sign off on the home which acknowledged that everything was good. When we said we would not sign off without putting some type of comments stating the items needing to be fixed, we were told we can’t do that and if we didn’t sign, then escrow would not close on time. Within the next week, many of the small items were fixed but the large items remained unresolved and continue to be to this day almost two months later. Some of our “major” fixes are the primary bath tub, the kitchen sink, the primary bath shower grout and the air conditioning. Here is an overview of our experience on these items. - The primary tub had a chunk broken out of it. We had to fight hard to get a new tub as we were told it would only be fixed, not replaced. When you pay this much money for something new, you should get a new item, not a repaired one. After it was repaired to our dissatisfaction the first time, it was ultimately replaced with a new one. - The kitchen sink had a small dent in the front. We were told the same story as the tub ie fixed, not replaced. After many discussions, missed appointments, and attempts, it was finally replaced on October 11. - The wrong grout was put into the Primary bath shower. We have yet to hear anything on this even though we have asked for updates several times. This is a very disappointing situation as we paid thousands extra for large tile and the installation of this tile. The pattern virtually disappears because the grout is white on white tile. The only resolution given to us by the designer before escrow closing was to stain the grout. We did not want our main bath to look like an after thought as we know staining this is not the correct solution. When asked why they don’t cut the grout out and replace it, we were told because they may chip the tile. The thought of this whole thing has physically made me sick. I have never used my main bath shower as a result. - The air conditioning. This is probably the most upsetting and alarming situation of all. When we did the walkthrough, we said we didn’t think the A/C was functioning properly. We were told it would be checked. On the second walk through, we brought it up again and told it was checked and functioning properly. After we moved in, we reported it again and we’re told it was checked including checking each register to ensure the air was coming out at the proper temperature. We knew it wasn’t working properly since we had rooms in the house that were hot and others that were freezing. Since Lennar considered this item closed in their books, we spent almost $200 out of our pocket to have an air conditioning company come out to check the system. Bottom line - there were 2 code violations, it was low on refrigerant, the units are undersized and installed backwards. We forwarded the report to Lennar who said they would send their A/C company out again. After Lennar’s second review, they acknowledged that everything the independent A/C company cited is correct. The code violations were fixed and refrigerant added; however he said he needed to get with his boss to discuss the remaining issues. It appears the A/C units were installed correctly but were designed wrong! The 3 1/2 ton unit is servicing the primary bedroom and bath, and the 1 1/2 ton unit is servicing the remainder of the house. This explains why the master is always freezing no matter how high we set the thermostat. A couple of the other rooms are hot no matter how low we set the thermostat. We still have no word from Lennar on how or when this problem will be fixed. The more alarming part is, you have many other homes in this development with the same problem as there are at least 6 or 7 other homes of this same model. Needless to say, this has not been a happy experience for us. Moving during the best of scenarios is one of the top three stressful things you can do in your life. Concrete work is terrible. Promise to be complete at closing was not kept. The house was very dirty. Overall, not up to Lennar standards that we experienced at Lennar in Castalina. What’s happening with your quality control.

The process started off great! Everyone was nice and the communication was excellent. Our closing date was pushed back three times due to permits building issues. Each new closing date we were promised everything would be ready to go by the new closing date and that was never the case. We were told all blue tape issues and the overall home would be done before we moved in and they were not. Even after we closed on the home there were still blue tape issues that had never been fixed so we have a list of work orders to submit.

This is my second time buying with Lennar. It started off great but all went downhill. They kept pushing our closing out (understandable with new construction) but the worst was when we were scheduled for our new home orientation and we got a call less than 30 minutes beforehand when we were already almost there that the home wasn’t ready and our closing would be delayed (again). The construction manager was apologetic but I asked to speak to a supervisor and never got to. I had to keep following up for updates which was met with an attitude from Lennar. We were forced to do a very large earnest money deposit which we were afraid to lose. This caused us to sell our home early and move in with my parents so we would be ready because if we weren’t, we would lose that deposit. No consequences for Lennar not being ready, the unprofessionalism, or the horrible customer service. They moved our closing up a day because the hurricane was coming and agreed to fix some things that hadn’t been completed yet. They never did. They left us with dying grass they won’t replace now despite us taking great care of it. They are clearly building too many houses too quickly and don’t have the time to ensure they’re taking good care of the homes or the buyers. ... More

The price you pay for the product that you’re buying is adequate. But if you’re looking for just adequate no perfection or even close to a building standard, you’re wasting your money. No communication skills during the build process. Attempting to get the punchlist fixed is a nightmare. Due to the fact, you have to go through a warranty service as they put it to get things done. I cannot in good faith recommend Lennar to anyone that’s purchasing a property.

The total experience with Sales person, title, inspection were bad. In order for Lennar to be great company to trust, the ground work from. Sales and other areas should be good but my experience was very disappointing.

Home quality is not much expected and I though overpaid for this quality

The sales rep. Cindy was very professional and was great to work with. The closing team promised completion of all issues and that was all BS . No follow up to issues. They said what we wanted to hear to close the deal. Extremely disappointed and I would not recommend LENNAR ! Wish I had not purchased !!!

Financial didn’t return calls. Builder didn’t return calls. Disappointed about cabinets in both model home and virtual tour left out. Tried to contact before walk through no return call. Accepted $500 to do myself. They seen me coming as this is still a big ordeal to get cabinets put in and way more expensive, so I am experiencing. Very disappointed that experienced people would put an old lady through this. Miss represented to make the sale. I would warn potential Buyers given the chance. Experience with work completion dates, delayed closing dates to quality of work has been sub par. Our independent realtor has been fantastic and guided us through the entire process based on prior experiences. We are in the warranty period with a number of issues needing to be addressed. The verdict is still out on this process.

Poor communications throughout the entire process. Especially between the various Lennar teams.

The sales team was helpful and knowledgeable until the contract was signed. After signing their ability to respond to emails and provide answers suddenly disappeared. The construction management team was frequently dismissive about concerns and condescending in their responses. After closing, the entire Lennar team was slow to accept responsibility for workmanship and warranty issues that arose while Lennar was still in possession of the house but were not discoverable until after we moved in. Overall a poor experience with Lennar. The home itself is decent and has met expectations, but recommend regularly documenting in writing conversations with Lennar employees. ... More

The workmanship was poor, drywall imperfections everywhere and gaps in trim. Pretty disappointed. I have also had very little communication from the sales and warannty team. I bought a home with David Weekley a year ago so I have a good baseline understanding of the process and Lennar's experience was far inferior to David Weekley's.

they are pushing these houses out so fast that a lot of things aren’t finished by closing and the final product is rushed. workers don’t take pride in their work and very sloppy. glue on floors, paint on tile and granite. Paint not even finished in some areas. no pride taken in their work and appears they are hiring people who don’t really know how to built. pieces being cut to small and still using those pieces. my cabinets have dents in them, like they had been dropped and still used. cracks in floor before moving in. door knobs don’t work right. sockets and lights put on crooked and not leveled. like they rushed the workers so much they just threw the house together. closing date was moved up. just rushed so they can get another up and sell it.
