There was a lack of communication between the company, buyer and agent. Often times requests needed to be sent several times. Two areas we marked in our initial and final walk throughs are still not corrected.

Aside from Arthur R., our salesperson, who was wonderful to work with, the rest of the process of acquiring our veranda was not a pleasant experience. Shotty workmanship, rushing to get us closed when the condo was far from being ready, lack of communication, no followup with items needing attention, and more than anything, the mortgage process was so frustrating! even getting the closing paperwork by mail was a problem. Having been in real estate, buying and selling new homes as well as resale properties for more than 35 years, and helping folks with their mortgages, we must say that this transaction was not what we anticipated. My suggestion to all potential buyer, don’t close on a house with Lennar unless all outstanding issues have been addressed. It’s nearly impossible to find anyone with Lennar to answer questions and have issues addressed.

My closing day was, to say the least, pretty unenjoyable. I arrived at the Lennar office and was greeted by the notary agent. Upon completion of signing my documents, I was given my keys and shown the door to leave. I imagined as a first time homebuyer with a company that’s been around for some time, there would be a more memorable experience for clients, wether a first or tenth time homebuyer. Needles to say I am very uncertain if I would use or suggest going with Lennar in the future.

Our home closing was pushed three times, home hadn't passed final city inspection yet when we moved in, sod work, when we finally got sod, is shoddy at best. The whole experience was terrible, and I wouldn't do it again or recommend it.

I encountered many issues during my entire home buying process. The only highlight was my original representative when I first visited the new subdivision. Most of my issues stemmed directly from my mortgage loan officer not responding to my messages, and even giving my wife and I the wrong loan number. I’m in a fortunate position where most of my coworkers are in the process of buying homes and am able to steer them away from Lennar.

This wasn’t the experience I was expecting as a first time home buyer. So truly, as a first time buyer, it’s disappointing. The only good thing about it all was working with the salesperson. Amanda was friendly and responsive. However, a rocky start with the lender as she was completely unresponsive. It took a couple weeks before I was told she wasn’t with the company and had to begin over with someone new. So overall, wouldn’t recommend. It felt rushed and when final walk through date arrived, it felt deceiving because I was told some issues that the home inspector found on his report had been “fixed” during the week prior. I’m dealing with things now that apparently weren’t. I felt I couldn’t get the home inspector to return and check b/c closing was on the same date as final walk through & was told I’d lose the rate that was part of the sale in January if we waited any longer (even though it had already been extended once). My only positive thought is that this will not be my forever home and this was a lesson learned for me. ... More

1. Door strike on front door is missing. 2. Baseboard trim gaping from the wall in many places. 3. Incorrect emergency contact number. 4. Stairwell had to be repainted 5 times (orange peel and runs) at our insistence 5. At final walk through windows we’re still grimy. 6. Ant infestation in house. 7. Furnace vent crooked above roofline. 8. Wood exposed around outside of former windows. 9. Concrete poured down valve box to fire hydrant.

First day in the house someone (from the looks of things most likely one of the workers on site) stole all the arc fault breakers out of my panel. First day welsome to your new home. Afte approaching Lenar, I was given the "Sorry Charlie get lost" Not much of a warm welcome is it. I spent $1400 of my own money to replace all breakers and have an electrician come out on an emergency call sfter hours. I think Lenar could have done a little bit more....

Hi Team - We purchased a Cerasi Plan and have verified with multiple trials that the garages are not suitable for owners with large mid-sized SUVs, Full size SUVs and Trucks. The root cause of this is the cosmetic divider which creates a two door garage instead of a single one door garage. We have verified the experience with multiple owners of the same plan and all have the same feedback. - Elton

Poor workmanship-from the entry in the courtyard to the rear windows of the building. There is nothing that stands out in a good way. Cheap labor, cheap materials, poor finishes. The only plus is the location, something that Lennar banked on-building fast, poor (quality) and expensive.

My experience has been difficult especially with Lennar Mortgage and Allen at sales office has been amazing and is trying but could have done better. They don't realize we are deaf and required accessibility at home but not willing to work with us to ensure our home equip with, so we have to pay extra which is not fair as hearing customers have those all set included while we deaf have to buy equipment to go with. That's really annoying. Builder and office need to be sure they're sync as their floorplan are different than office shows so it's a problem when i noticed errors when they built my house. Offices need to ahead with TV/Internet services once they open new homes here, so they have time to survey and set up ready for us move in especially I'm working at home remotely so that caused me a week missed job due to no internet services. That's really stress me the whole week searching services but had to go with one for now till Frontier to get availability hopefully July 1st and hopefully to buy out the termination fee from current to frontier as my job requires 1 gig whereas my current is only 250 mbps so not great one. It's frustrated. I feel that they owe me for that termination fee as soon as frontier completed and availability in July or so. They said pls complete QR and asked me to call with virtual video. I was like duh I'm deaf so i cannot use virtual while I'm using my relay service as interpreter to call. I called and said I'm deaf so no way I can use that kind of technology. They need to do better when it comes down to deaf customers!! I've been with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage for 20 years and 38 years in mortgage industry. I've work with several builders similar as this Lennar. Honestly, they are way much better than this one. I however do love my house than my old house. Through they could do better. I'll be working on ring system that was given to me a box to set up. I was like oh boy we are deaf and not sure if it's requiring for us to hear which is a joke and insult us as customer. They could provide a better one for deaf clients! Overall, I'm giving C to office and D to mortgage which is the worst I've ever had. ... More

Not a great experience. House was dirty when we went to move in, lots of unfixed items and very disappointed. Felt like it was a last minute rushjob and they were just trying to get out of the neighborhood. Not sure I’m able to recommend Lennar.

My husband and I recently purchased a new home from Lennar, we were very excited about our new home until move in day. We were told the home would be cleaned prior to move in by the general contractor, that was not done the place was so dirty I had to clean for 3 days before we could even live in it. all the floors and carpet had paint and grout residue all over, cabinets were full of debris from construction and one of the toilets had been used and never flushed. Our thermostat and HAVC system quit working after 5 weeks and when I called Lennar i was told that it was not covered by the warranty because i was not doing my homeowners maintenance on the system, I was never told there was any special maintenance i had to do to the system. I was able to do a virtual warranty request with Lennar today about most of the problems, hopefully things can get resolved now. ... More

Good starter home that is priced better than most other new construction in the area. But, upon closer inspection, there’s always small problems that aren’t major dealbreakers but always a nuance. Customer service is not much better. Online portal to submit requests, disjointed team that doesn’t communicate well with one another. Work orders that drag on for what seems like an eternity. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re able to find a good deal elsewhere.

This process was not consistent. The walk throughs that were promised throughout the process did not happen until the end. The communication was usually unresponsive on Lennar’s end from our key contacts and Katie S. was extremely unprofessional. I do want to say Henry, the building coordinator was very professional and easy to work with. Lastly I’ll say I understand there’s a time crunch in building these units but having our basement flood the day after closing was frustrating and unacceptable. The closing process was smooth and quick. Thank you.

Customer Care Employees leave a lot to be desired. Say a lot but do not do anything and you have to do the follow up. Just excuses is all they give you and very poor solution’s.

We were informed of our closing date. We were moving here from another state . We arrive a week in advance and on our 2nd day we were informed we needed more information to close. More financial info we tried and tried to obtain it but my husband had just retired and his statement wasn’t goi g to be able to be reviewed for approximately 2-3 weeks . 2 days before closing we were told we probably were not going to be able to even though we were led to believe we already had provided everything needed . Why would any company assign a closing date and drag people down and then say well … we need 1 more thing. We were writing letters making calls doing everything we could and stressed out. Our week was ruined we had planned to buy furniture ect and make it an exciting week but nope . So we almost went home early as they told us we would just get another date . Keep in mind it cost us 1600 to come when we came . Flying , rental car , hotel . Anyways long story short they tell us night before around 4 pm we can go to the closing the next morning . Not very smooth . No one was there to represent us as I was told someone should of been . The person who had been working with us over a year wasn’t there and did t even know we closed as I contacted her. No welcome from anyone . This was out 1st new home purchase. We have learned a lot . If you have an issue with anything sometimes they get right on it but other times you have to keep going back to submit issues . I actually like the house but I was exspecting a little more quality finishes . Who uses flat paint on walls as they can’t be washed very well. Oh well would I do it again ? Possibly but I’d def have my eyes wide open and not be so trusting. ... More

My overall description of the house would be shoddy workmanship. I am regretting the purchase more each day. Getting repairs done is a long term nuisance and dealing with the HOA is a nightmare.

The homes are not built with very high quality materials and they haven't installed with care, if you miss something in your home orientation, it's probably not covered by warranty and it will be your responsibility. I had issues with carpet and floor installation and they are not covered by warranty and I have to hire some people to fix my brand new house carpet.

There's a lock of pride in the quality of the workmanship. Very dirty home upon closing. Random nails sticking out of home and poor masonry job. I inherited projects in this new home to fix up what wasn't done. Garage has holes cut into sheetrock for the garage door. Just looks tacky. Floorplan is amazing, yard was fully sodded and beautiful. Customer service rep did an amazing job getting our punch sheet done in our walkthrough! I'd defiantly work with her again, she was on our side in this process!!

Just as any buying experience when before after you say yes and give them the down payment to commitment, they fall Over themselves to “be there for you”. The s day you sign you’ll never hear from anybody you saw before again! The lender from Lennar didn’t know what he doing and I got emails from him requesting the same material even after I had closed. At closing, the keys my new home were mysteriously “lost”. I went to my new home with no keys. I had to stop at the sales office for the agent on duty to give me the standard key to open the house. Finally, after three days, they told me they would have to re-key the house and I would have to have a new key to the mailbox made at my own coat. I still, 6 weeks later, have not been reimbursed for that key. Pathetic customer service for a big box office store let alone a National Home Builder! The day I moved in 2 of the fire alarms were chirping. They continued to chirp every 8 hours after I would reset them with a the only long enough stick I had to reach them. On Monday morning the electrician came to the house and changed the batteries and that resolved the issue. They used old batteries in the smoke detectors. 3 weeks later another smoke detector started to chirp. I knew what it was this time. I am still amazed that they used bad batteries in a new house. 3 to be exact. Not a coincidence! The sod they use in the lawns is pathetic! I have been sincerely trying to grow this “grass” with the help of a service and it just isn’t growing. The quality is sub standard. My son Kaye’s his sod last weekend and the difference in quality is worlds apart! Apparently half a million dollar homes don’t qualify for good sod! Lennar should be ashamed! ... More

So far my upstairs HVAC system did not initially work properly due to a bad fuse and I current have a large wet spot in my ceiling in the mud room. The paint job throughout the home is poor and I see paint on the carpet throughout my home The basement does not get warm even when the thermostat is set to 76F. The Caulking around toilets and bathtubs is dirty and messy.

Two months after closing the punch list is still 20+ items long. Sometimes a tradie stops by to fix a single blue tape flag but at a rate of 2 "fixes" a week this is going to take a long time to get the home I paid for in February. Nobody feels responsible and the field rep didn't call in the first place.

First the details of the house could be better. Flat wall paint that shows every touch. does not cost a lot to use a different paint. My walk through was not good. Door frames were horrible and had to be replaced. Flooring was buckled in the living and dinning room. Replaced in several time and still could not get it right. On day of closing I walked the house again. The flooring is two different dye lots now. Not enough time to change it before closing. Tape and texture does not match in enty due to them having to fix it. Overall, I would not purchase a house from Lennar.
