Communication Nightmare

I purchased my Florida home from out of state, Maryland, therefore it was imperative, to have good communication in the building process. From the onset of the process of purchasing our home there has been questionable glitches when it came to my sales rep, Bobbi , and the communication processes. I was totally disheartened with my experiences with Lennar and I believe it’s mostly due to my sales agent and her failure to communicate honesty and timely. I have videos and emails between us which demonstrates her lack of communication and even her being on top of what was going on with my ...

A reasonably good product, but HORRIBLE customer service

We purchased our home through Lennar. we were given incentives to use Lennar Mortgage and Title. The mortgage process was EXTREMELY cumbersome and the communications from the mortgage team about things that were needed was abysmal. Income verification items that were requested and the explanations required by underwriting went back twenty five plus years and included several residences we'd never owned, only rented while in the military and after retiring. During the final two days prior to closing we received minimal communication on our actual closing time. We did a virtual closing ...

After 6 weeks moved in Lennar new home in Poway, still no mail delivered to my mailbox. Called Lennar and Poway Post Office and USPS services, this issue is not resolved.

Poorest interior finish quality that I’ve ever experienced!

I read some of the horror stories about Lennar Homes and thought that it was just people that were angry over ridiculous nonsensical things. However, I can tell you firsthand that the finish quality craftsmanship is so poor and so unchecked they have no quality service control whatsoever. The house was full of so many poor quality finishing that I had to make a list that should never have had occurred of the poor, finishing quality of the home. I have bought probably 16 homes during my life and I even worked for companies that build homes and I’ve never seen poor quality control ever people ...

There was no effort to make the new home buying experience nice. I have bought 4 other new homes and this experience was the worst by a long shot. Additionally, the quality of the home is very poor, from appliances to dry wall work to doors not closing properly.

The entire process was stressful. They were "accommodating" but only after I said I would not be purchasing the agreed upon house. The closing process itself was a nightmare. I had to ask off 4 different days from work for the closing date because it was always up in the air. Living here for about a month, I still find subpar elements in the home. Flooring done incorrectly (which they "fixed" before moving in) granite countertops unfinished. Our downstairs is a cooler, while the upstairs feels like a sauna. This is the 2nd house we own, between my fiance and I, I don't recall anywhere near ...

First time with Lennar - not so good

This is my family's first new home purchase. I wish I could say that everything went as well as we wanted but that is simply not the case. Lennar moved our closing date several times. There was no infrastructure set up for internet in the home until 3 weeks after our closing date. The whole thing felt rushed and then ultimately stalled toward the end. I feel that Lennar just wanted to get this one penciled in the books before it was truly move-in ready. We have been here a couple of months now and have submitted multiple work orders for a Ring Security System that was not working properly ...

Poor Finish Work

The house was not even finished when we did our tour before closing. We closed with the promise things would be completed. It took months before everything was completed. The finish work (cabinet marks, molding, doors and painting) are awful!! The paint brusheds were dirty and it left brush marks and dirt on the molding throughout the house. Painters came back several times to try to correct the issues but to no avail. The taping in the garage is terrible.

Jack our sales rep was not very responsive to our questions and what was going on with house at all. After closing (which was a fiasco) you think we hear from him but no, not a word. We still have broken cabinet in bathroom and door in breakfast nook that was to be fixed never was. Closet door has one handle not painted. Called customer care about spare bathroom shower having a stress fracture and I have yet to hear from our customer representative who is supposed to be taken over claim. Honestly, the communication from Lennar has been disappointing, chaotic and unprofessional. From the complete lack of a response for weeks regarding delays in closing to the 50+ list of "punch out items" that reflect poorly done and rushed workmanship, I could not recommend Lennar less to any future buyers.

We thought we were working with a reputable company but soon realized our sales representative Kristy at new Braunfels was the ONLY GOOD THING about our experience at lennar. Our construction manager Trey couldn’t have been more passive and untrustworthy, he was here bc it gave him a paycheck not because he wanted to deliver a quality home. The sub contractors you guys allow to work on the homes I’m baffled. I do no construction but have already fixed all the cosmetic issues your contractors left behind and Trey refused to have them come back and fix, one example of many the masonry guys ...

The construction supervisor was unresponsive to concerns and issues brought to his attention through out the build - issues that should have been fixed before drywall so later entire walls had to be ripped down and re constructed. The issues were allowed to accumulate while the typical response received was “Lennar has a process”. After having the construction supervisor removed from the premises due to his circular communication style and near absolute lack of action to cure issues his supervisor started making changes however this was very late in the schedule. So this is how they ...

The house itself is in great condition now; unfortunately, our experience both before and after closing, including the overall quality/cleanliness of the house at turnover, was quite poor. Specifically, we were made offers by Sales staff that were not honored, were treated rudely and pressured by Mortgage under staff, had a tremendously difficult time with Construction's completion of final punch prior to closing, and were met with extremely poor communication and follow up regarding outstanding items after closing. Thankfully, once the issues were elevated within Lennar, all outstanding ...

This is our 2nd Lennar new home. We bought our first one in North Carolina and the quality, responsiveness to issues and workmanship was excellent. Thus, moving to Colorado we decided to go with Lennar again. Starting with our closing walk through (late by 45 minutes painting and caulking) to today, 3 months later. We still have unresolved issues, taking days off from work to meet contractors that no show, and vendors (HVAC) that don't return calls. Overall, this has been a pretty disappointing experience. But, from other people I have spoken to that bought from other builders and Lennar, ...

Let me preface this with this was our first homebuying experience. From the beginning, this process was a mess. We, along with our realtor, did a tour of the model home and from the start we loved what we saw given it was the model home with all the bells and whistles. We signed on our house around the middle of July with a completion date of late Nov. In the days leading up to our close date, we decided we would go with Lennar as the lender and builder - mostly because of their lender credits (which we found later to be honestly a complete joke and pretty much a net 0 let-down ...

Everyone was so nice when we were closing and now POOF no one is to be found. No one is responsive when we reach out with issues or concerns. It’s been just about 3 months and no one’s checked in on our 3 month follow up. Part of exterior of the home hasn’t been painted. Our fireplace only works sometimes and we don’t have a point of contact. There’s a missing vent flap that I can’t get anyone to replace so I’m fearful birds will move in. The ring system has been very difficult to set up as the builders put up pieces of it and didn’t leave all the instructions. The myQ for the garage door ...

Our experience started with the new home seller, Natasha. She was extremely rude, even stated to us, “if you don’t like it, then don’t buy here” when we inquired if there were options for solar panel manufacturers. We ended up buying do to limited homes available in the area. The closing Process was extremely rushed do to the end of the fiscal year for Lennar on 11/30. We had to have a walk through and closing the same day which is not what Lennar advertises on their website as the closing process. Natasha was not my advocate when I had questions regarding closing with so many things open ...

While I am happy with the home itself, the homebuying experience with the Lennar team was less than average. There seems to be a disconnect between all departments within the sales process; from sales to project management to concierge services and then the walkthrough team. Anytime there was something that needed to be corrected or followed-up, each person I would talk with would say someone else on the team should have handled that, but would never take ownership in ensuring things were rectified. Terrible project management that ultimately led to the home closing being pushed back 3 ...

My home still needed a few weeks of work before, but was still handed over. My recommendation is to do multiple walk throughs beforehand and not sign the pre inspection until everything is fixed. You can tell these homes were really rushed as well as closing dates. This is my 3rd new built home and 3 different builders, Lennar is at the bottom. If I could do it over again I would have been more patient and just stayed in my previous home with other than size had zero issues.
