easy and smooth purchase experience

While we love our home, there were several things that did not impress us with Lennar. The project management was average, at best. In construction and project management, you run into delays, that is part of the job. The handling of and working around delays was not executed to a level we expected. This forced them to rush through our home in the final month of construction. Towards the end of our construction period, we learned that Lennar's fiscal year ended on November 30th and there were a certain number of homes that had to be completed. Lennar put their interests in front of the buyer and proceeded to rush through the home. This put a terribly sour taste in our mouth. Items that we brought to their attention in the 2nd month of construction were now being addressed and when addressed, the craftsmanship was incredibly poor and had to be redone. A week out from closing, we had close to 20 items that needed to be addressed. You would think a week would be enough to complete this. Over that timespan, I saw crews at our home on only two of those days. A day before closing, there were still 7-8 items remaining. Half of those being major. When we moved in, the floors were covered in glue, there were rusty nails and razor blades (!) scattered all over our yard, screens were incredibly bowed, and sinks were filthy. At best, I can give Lennar 3/5 stars. We paid close to a half million dollars for our home and for that price, I expected better craftmanship and project management. Luckily, their warranty process has been responsive, but our home has felt like a construction zone for the first month, as we have one or two people in here per week fixing and correcting things that should've been completed prior to closing. ... The process was not what I wanted to experience for buying my first home. I was pre-approved for a loan went through the process for a walk through of the home. After the walk through was told did not qualify. Alternative loan (non Lennar company) company was great. For repair of items in home takes multiple attempts or extended period of time for reply.

I passed on the first request to do a survey. I am tired of waiting for the drain to be put in. I am the one hounding your person because she does not get back in a timely manner. I NEED TERRI TO GET THE JOB DONE. ITS BEEN MONTHS. I AM TIRED OF EXCUSES.

I had an excellent experience with Lennar.

Our first home that we purchased brand new. As we have lived in the house, we continue to find ourselves solving one problem after another. This community has extremely HARD water due to the city having well water. Everyone I'd well aware that residents would need water softner, yet the home had no room to install one. We had to get various companies to come out to give us a quote and pick ONLY the one who could install water softner components in two different locations, which asked for TOP dollars. Entire process was long and frustrating a d we had to use hard water until water softner was installed. There should have been room allocated in the closet for it. Extremely disappointing experience. The community mailbox is located on a steep slope and doesn't have appropriate access to get to it. You have to walk on the grass that's a downward slope and stand next to the mailbox slanted without having anything to hold onto and get your mailbox opened with a key to access your mail, all while being in extremely cold and snowy conditions. How can an elderly and a tiny woman feel safe checking her mail? She has to have family come and help as it's hazardous for her to do. This needs to be resolved. Please consider better ways. ... Great experience, was able to get closed and moved in on time while also selling my old house.

Don't buy New Builds from Lennar. The homes are not worth the price because the quality is not there. The materials that are used are low end and cheap especially in the interior of the home. The companies they hire to complete the inside of the homes have no repect for quality of workmanship. My house is terrible and I regret buying it!

Experience was great from the beginning!

Attention to some of the detail work is not as good as it could be.

Build representatives were always very kind and responsive. This made the buying experience much more pleasurable than you would typically expect. The only shortcomings found in the process were by third-party contractors brought in to work on a specific area of the build. Most were very good, but there’s always one or two that take shortcuts. The builder was good at finding most of these and collecting on their own. Some of cars we found after moving in and had to request corrections. Builder has responded quickly and professionally to these few requests. All in all, I found Lennar to probably be the best large volume home builder out there. ... More

It was a great pleasure working with Lennar! Starting with Amy on the home selection and support throughout the purchasing process to Brandon and Renee being extremely responsive and helpful resolving any problems we had.

Very easy process, with help along the way to make things easy to understand.

Very disappointed with the service I have received. I will not be purchasing with Lennar again nor would I recommend to any family or friends.

In general, a very nice house. Some architectural oddities…no light above the kitchen sink (!), no place to put the towel before your shower, walls that do not line up. Not as carefully designed as my Pulte Home. Appliances just GE not GE Profile so suffer in quality. No ability to upgrade.

Over all this is a very well built home. It’s just the little things that I feel should have been corrected on inspection.

I worked in the new home construction business all my adult life. I understand the levels of materials and service. Lennar does have the stuff together.

First time buying a home, so was very unfamiliar with process. Salesperson and Mortgage broker were AMAZING! On sight construction reps, Andy and Gina helped coordinate any issues immediately and professionally.

Well built home. Overall very pleased and glad to be living here. Some trouble with timely response and correction of several relatively minor but essential items that were not finished up to spec at closing. Lennar needs to replace the substandard sod contractor laying the grass for the yards.
