We have been in the house 6 weeks and still cannot get things fixed that should have been fixed before closing.

We have had numerous problems and a terrible response to getting issues fixed. 1. Our AC went out the first week due to poor electrical work 2. Our fence is flapping in the wind 3. Our grass was never rolled out and patches are missing 4. Metal debris all in the yard 5. Gutters were not installed and the rain washed away some of our landscaping that has yet to be fixed

The workmanship on these homes is subpar. I am still having issues with many items in my house. Make sure you do an extremely through walk through, look at the ceilings, floors, walls, cabinets, and drawers. They do not do a good job with quality control of their workmanship/contractors.

Not a showroom ready home

Building during the COVID pandemic is not easy. Working in the industry I knew going in that there were going to be delays and issues. What I did not expect was the poor work done with the materials that they did have. With Lennar, their marquee promise is delivering a showroom ready home. That is not what we have received. Delays and issues aside, if the work done was worthy of the price paid (and it would have been if it was truly showroom ready) I would be giving 5 stars across the board. Unfortunately, this has been from what was promised.

Lennar rushed to closing the property. The quality of workmanship was greatly compromised. Especially bad was the tile floor, the grout was left dry over tiles by its construction people. We don't how to clean the grout and grout film over the tile floor.

Lennar - Initial sales personnel excellent.

Initial sales personnel excellent. Loan process terrible and disorganized. Pre-drywall walk through a failure because our concerns were not taken seriously and addressed. Closing positive experience. Had to request a step be installed from garage to entrance. Guess the home was not supposed to come with one??? Drywall plaster/mud heavy on garage floor. Guess I’ll be scraping that up in spring. Have since had frozen water pipes due to improper insulation which Lennar is dealing with. Gas leak on the outside which the gas company has dealt with. Have been here only about seven weeks so ...

The house was not ready to be moved in to, but it was rushed because they were trying to close for the end of their fiscal year. They have come back to fix everything that was wrong, but the contractors they sent have been terrible and made most things worse. On the day of closing we were told to show up at lennar title at 5pm to sign papers and get the keys. We were there until after 10 pm and waited for over 5 hours. That is ridiculous and a huge waste of time. We asked if we could leave and then come back when they were ready and they said they couldn’t do that and needed us to wait there ...

Don't close until you are satisfied with the condition of the home!! We were told to come down from Wisconsin and that they were ready to close. When we arrived the home was a mess and not even close to ready! Lennar will eventually make things right, but WOW, what a struggle to get there!

The main issue my wife and I had with lennar was the lack of communication during closing from the loan officer, loan processor and a little bit from the sales rep. Important things were not communicated to me, which complicated the closing a bit. Luckily my real estate agent was able to guide us and help us. At closing, we found several other people complaining about the same issues. The only thing that saves lennar from 1 star is Bill, who did the walk through with us. He was more than helpful.

Not "MOVE-IN" ready

We were excited to move in to our new home (which was delayed nearly 4 months) in early December. When we arrived we found the home not "ready" for occupancy. The tile floor was dirty and paint spattered. There was much "blue tape" that still remained in areas identified in previous walk-throughs...far too many to mention here. The lanais were dirty (still are) and in need of a wash down. Our "punch-list" is still very lengthy. I will give kudos to Butch Ogden our sales rep as he was accessible and helped as much as he could to try and resolve some of our problems. Unfortunately there was ...

Too expensive for what we actually got. Material quality is subpar and workmanship needs to be improved. Promised things would be fixed during our walk-through PRIOR to our move in and they were not. Home was not even cleaned before we moved in. Not worth it. Community is nice though, so there's that.

The communication can definitely be better all around. I constantly had to reach out for things and do my own follows ups. One of our first walkthroughs i scheduled to have a home inspector come in. He was barely able to do his job the A/C unit was not hooked up. The only appliance that was plugged in for testing was the refrigerator. Those were one of the biggest things. I scheduled in advance for the inspector to come 1 week before the walkthrough and got the ok. I let the construction manager know that if things were not going to be ready for walkthrough they should have let me know so I ...

The house is made of very cheap materials. The dishwasher is plastic, the island makes a hallow noise when anything touches it. The sheet rock in the garage is not finished. The windows leak. It is always cold down stairs and hot up stairs.

We received our home about two months after the initial close date that we were told. We were told that our initial close date was possible because they already had the materials, therefore there wouldn't be a setback due to materials. About one month before we were set to close and after questioning the time frame, we were told that we misunderstood them having the materials - what they meant was they had the "purchasing power" to buy the materials. At this point it was 3 months after I signed the contract and price homes had gone up 20-30k so it made no sense to bail out and buy elsewhere - ...

Our house got pushed back multiple times with little to no transparency, leaving us in a bind with living arrangements. We continuously asked our representative to be upfront and honest about our buyers experiences and situations but he continuously told us “it varies from house to house” rather than being transparent. We’ve ran into a couple issues after living in the house which has taken months to be resolved and required us to continuously reach out to multiple people and parties for solutions. Overall the virtual signing experience was very smooth and super simple and convenient when it ...

Not the level of quality I expected

  • Anonymous

Lacking the attention to detail I would expect from a production builder. Several of their trades don't use a level so many finish things are crooked, wall and bath tiles are not aligned and flat, interior paint quality is poor, the trim paint includes excessive construction debris trapped in the paint surfaces, and the perimeter edges of the upgraded floor were covered with paint overspray. At this jobsite, the trades routinely drank beer at the end of the day and left empty beer cans in the yard and in the house. Based on the quality issues observed, maybe they started drinking at lunch.

Ask numerous questions and don’t assume anything. It is a process that needs to be heavily involved with decisions made, and read all materials available to know exactly what you are purchasing. It is not as easy as they claim it to be. Highly suggest home inspections prior to settlement.

The workmanship and quality of my new home does not meet our expectations and we would not recommend Lennar

Our salesperson was great. The loan folks were good enough. The construction delivery date was moved around, both later and then earlier. Created confusion, especially when the home was not ready after moving the date earlier. There were many issues identified with the construction that have yet to be resolved over two months after moving in. Poor follow-up. We don't recommend this builder.

Upon first look, everything looks fantastic when the keys are turned over. However, the real problems show up after a couple of weeks of living n the house. After being told during our new homeowner orientation that we would have a 1 year walk-through to fix any issues that come up in the first year, we were informed that Lennar no longer performed this and everything had to be submitted through the Warranty system. Of the pages of issues that we have submitted, only 3 issues are deemed 'under warranty'. Lennar promises to use the best construction material and high-quality paint. When ...

I have had a very disappointing experience with the responsiveness of Lennar to issues. Brianna is great but the rest of the team is non responsive and gives updates that do not materialize.

We purchased a spec home, so, we had no choice in our finishes. We wanted to push settlement by two weeks which Lennar would not allow. However, when we settled there were many items not finished in the property. They could have used the two weeks to complete the work. The painting, caulking, tile work etc. were not professionally done. Our contractor who we met at the final walk through was good. He was responsive and helpful. However, there are several items that were on the list to be completed or replaced that have not been completed. We have been here for 4 months.
