As stated earlier, I know Lennar sells thousands of homes, however we bought one. What was supposed to be an exciting time became a frustrating chore. This is the fourth survey i had filled our and no one from Lennar has reached out. Says a lot.

Bad customer service

I had to close on my house with over 30 things still needing to be fixed by the builder. They return 3 month later to fix a few things. Currently my garage door does not look like the house houses in the community and my dish washer has never worked since I bought the house. A lot of minor issues I will have to hire someone to fix for me later. This was not a good experience.

We like our home. However, the customer service experience is not great and horribly inconsistent. We would never recommend using Lennar Mortgage, terrible experience. I don’t think we would ever purchase a Lennar home again.

No trustworthy communication between sales and construction staff as to building delays, realistic settlement dates, or other updates. Each side blames each other when you talk with them. If materials are short due to supply chain, so be it. Just tell buyers the closing date is X and not hold to old and now out dated schedules just so Lennar can report sales and home closure progress for investor news. Love the layout of the house, communication between site manager and Mortgage was horrible experience. The model home and your home should be exactly the same. Everything that is included is not included. The Wi-Fi throughout the house was never installed and was told it was not available anymore but on the website it’s included also in the model homes signs inside the house it says it’s included. Five months into the house we are still having major problems.

Poor finish work

Quality of finish work is sub par , paint finish and quality is straight garbage. Your contact to repair this is overworked and doesn’t have the time to be helping with repairs. This should be put on the trades.

THAT IS THE WRONG LOT NUMBER! There are Corona bottle tops im my shower drain. How did that happen? Builders drinking while building? Maybe that is the reason there are so many issues here. Garage foundation messed up. Come fix that before my house cracks in half

Lennar - Will not buy a Lennar home again.

Will not buy a Lennar home again. Quality and craftsmanship no longer exist because its about producing as many cookie cutter homes as possible. Home River is a joke and the HOA cares more about a weed in someone's yard then the roads being filled with parked cars to where people cant get through or sometimes get out of the driveway in a safe manner. Numerous times the trash truck cannot get through so our trash sits full.

New home not move in ready

We purchased our home sight unseen and just got the virtual walk thru since there were no models available to view. At our first walk thru there were a lot of items that needed to be fixed or repaired. I was assured they would be fixed by closing in 7 days. I had to wire the money before closing so it would be funded. Lennar extended closing by a week so we had to pay for additional housing. The day before closing we did our final walk thru. The blue tape was still everywhere and not move in ready at all. We were assured everything would get done with no questions asked after the fact. ...

Inconsistent Workmanship and Poor Responsiveness

Upon closer inspection it was clear that they rushed in building our home. There was still a layer of dust when we moved in; The builder stated they would pay to have a professional cleaner come in but this was never completed and the builder has become unresponsive to any requests. We have ended up deep cleaning most of the surfaces ourselves but discovered several faulty workmanship issues as we cleaned the house. Terrible follow up from constantly rotating construction managers caused a lot of stress and delays. Generally poor workmanship. High pressure sales just tells you what they think you want to hear. Don't visit without a realtor or you're on your own for the duration.

Finding out that Lennar didn't run the gutters past the side entrance door,( in the villa's) has more people angry and disappointed than anything I have heard (including myself). IT MAKES NO SENSE NOT TO RUN THE GUTTER AN EXTRA 30 FEET AND THAN FORCE THE HOMEOWNER TO SPEND $500 TO HAVE IT DONE, IS BAD BUSINESS, DISAPPOINTING AND EMBARRASSING. Lennar builds homes very quickly and is more than willing to put out fires for the time they are required after the build than to do a quality job and hold their contractors to a higher standard. These homes could be so beautiful as they do use quality materials but everything is so rushed and sloppy. We were also pushed into using a "trusted" lender which was a nightmare. The numbers were wrong several times to the point that the mobile notary that was at our house in a different state refused to notarize the closing paperwork. The Lennar experience can be broken into a couple categories: buying and construction. The buying experience was frustrating and unprofessional. Our home delivery was delayed by 6 months, and the permit process was out of Lennar’s control, but the communication breakdown was unprofessional. Cindy our sales agent was great. We were told we could close after we got back from vacation, the sales manager than told us we couldn't and we needed to close before we left. After speaking with several people, they honored the original agreement. We did a walk through with the agent, there were alot of touchup and other items not working, to which I was told, would be corrected.
