Moving through purchasing a new construction, the team at Lennar promised throughout that a physician loan would be possible. Two weeks ahead of my closing date, my loan officer informs me that the team at Lennar did not complete Fannie Mae paperwork required in order to finalize the loan. The team was unable to provide a reason as to why they were not submitting the paperwork, and ultimately I was forced in the last two weeks to gather an additional 17% of the house value in order to close with a non-physician loan. Stay away.

Lennar is is no way, shape, or form Customer Friendly. No choices or changes at all. "This is what you get and forget about making or requesting even the slightest change". No communication or updates forthcoming from the Lennar reps. Delay after Delay and no real concern or care on their part.

Lennar Title was the worst I’ve worked with and I almost backed out of the purchase because of them, Lennar didn’t pay real estate commission to my realtor so they got free labor but after I purchased, now they offer commission because the market has tanked, they take more than 2-3 weeks to respond to simple post purchase fixes needed. They keep sending surveys but do nothing about the feedback they receive. Interior doors are nice upgrade, appliances are middle quality except dishwasher is lowest quality available. We went under contract six months prior before the home was finished. Im married. We made the offer under my name, but for investment purposes, we wanted to have my wife be on the house instead of myself. This is a simple process, it just needs to be approved by the builder. Literally we had sent them the document and all they had to do was sign it to get it done. We tried to do this a few months before close, but the Lennar denied. This is our second home with Lennar and I’m extremely disappointed with this experience. Lennar Mortgage was more interested in finishing their paperwork a month out rather than handling things at a proper pace. My husband felt harassed by them. On closing day no one bothered to contact me to sign documents. I had to make phone calls to get an appointment. I’ve had to put in numerous work orders because our house of shoddy workmanship. I’m still waiting on resolution on items.

Realize at present it is a sellers market, but we were given very little imput into what we would like in the property. Advised there would be a “few” steps leading to them main entrance & ended up with 16!!. Width of steps 36 inches, we requested they be widened to 42 inches enabling easier access for our furniture (damaged when being delivered) but advised not possible only to see properties being built now have 42 inch steps. almost 3 months behind schedule even though all supplies were here, would tell us 2 more weeks so we checked everyday, no one was working on house. When we were told a home inspection which we were paying for could be done work in house was not finished you didn't even have a water meter here. One wall had no electricity at all, we were told it was repaired and it wasn't. So many things not taken care of from final walk thru and house was not cleaned. Not sure what ever happened to customer satisfaction but Lennar has none. Neighbors on both side's had same sort of issues. Nice homes ...

Get your money and drop you as fast as they can. Been asking for items to be fixed for over 6 weeks without any progress. Started fixing items myself. Reported a water leak over 4 weeks ago and still waiting for anything to be done. Have no idea what damage that is causing. Still waiting on painting to be done and the gutters leak water everywhere but where they are meant to put it. Very sad buying experience!

The expected construction time was way off time (almost 4 months earlier). I had to pay over $4,500 as penalty to my previous renters/realtor. I rented based on initial estimate giving by Lennar. I felt I was rushed to close the house. Even when I asked, I never was invited to see house while constructed (most of my neighbors where able to see and experience along their hose construction). I was only given pictures of the process. Houses in the neighborhood were received with welcome balloons, congratulation signs as well as a welcome gift which I never received. Please keep away from Lennar. They tell you one thing and then do something in the back. When questioned, they say, "oh my mistake" etc or delegate that messaging to someone else. No one really takes responsibility for the mistakes.

The whole experience was a struggle from the start. The house was started and then sat for 2 months while nothing was done. I was given bogus reasons, like the lumber was stolen. Only to confirm later that wasn't the case. A manager had order the wrong lumber, instead of fixing it try to cover it up. Which led to further miscommunication and further delays. Two windows were installed completely broken. I pointed this out months in advance, the week of closing it was still unrepaired. Lennar builds decent homes with functional floor plans, but they have no scruples and will keep on smiling while they ignore any request you make and any obligation they have to create decent communities. Their sales agents were unhelpful and unresponsive, their main office staff were rude, and they sold the houses on BOTH sides of me to an investor who’s now rented one to people who are violating our city occupancy limits. The lack of response by Lennar and its staff. I close on 2/28/22 and the home was not ready. Until now 04/19/the repair is not done yet.

I was forced to to close by 2/28/22 and there are list of 22 pages long of repairs are taken until now are nit repaired yet. The home did not have hot water and no appliances until a week ago.
