The walk-through was a disaster. The Lennar walk-through rep was only interested in hurrying up the process because he has 3 other walk throughs. He was disrespectful of my time. He only placed the blue tapes on select items I pinpointed. When I asked about the toilet upstairs, he said - we will let the warranty take care of it. That was inappropriate. We just did the walk through and we expect the builder and its staff to rectify the problem.

AFTER we moved in we found MANY cut corners and issues of rushed or shoddy construction standards BEHIND appliances, still unable to get RING DOORBELL and security system set up, when you buy a NEW home this should not happen, during walk through notice front door needed to be painted now it doesn't hang right and is difficult to lock. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Beware of continued delays and closing issues. Make sure to double and triple check all fine details before and ON closing final walk-throughs. Non-chalant attitude and attitude of ingratitude.

The non disclosure of requiring flood insurance

Was not disclosed or discussed about having to pay flood insurance till nearing completion of home and heard first from other disappointed buyers that had it concealed as well till loan was ready to close on property. Lennar should have to pay the bill till FEMA updates the flood map and removes the requirements. Cost me over $800 per year. The scam was should be completed by FEMA by August 2021 to further deceive it could be resolved any day yet still not done

My wife and I fell in love with Lennar's models and neighborhoods. The construction quality looked pretty solid as well. That said, we ended up going through 4 Lennar Realtors. Each worse than the last: we caught them lying, they'd yell at us, even manipulated the contract without our consent. There were several grievous actions we'd observed from the realtor team. When escalated to the regional manager, he only advised that perhaps I should get some education on how the home buying process worked. My personal realtor and I were dumbstruck by this response. I would never purchase another Lennar Home again. The buying experience as well as the structural issues we faced were appalling and costly. The lack of communication throughout the process was the worst I’ve ever dealt with. Our 3rd party inspector released a 35 page report of everything that needed to get fixed, replaced, upgraded, re-wired or replaced before we moved in. The house flooded 2 days before closing. The exterior of the home was not was we seen or expected on any signed docs, models or brochures. Overall the worst buying experience for our first home. THE WORST!

The process was not what I wanted to experience for buying my first home. I was pre-approved for a loan went through the process for a walk through of the home. After the walk through was told did not qualify. Alternative loan (non Lennar company) company was great. For repair of items in home takes multiple attempts or extended period of time for reply.

Absolutely awful home buying experience! There was zero communication about delays or the building process. The home was not ready for our walkthrough. Closing was moved multiple times with little to no notice. We attempted to contact customer “service” and NO ONE responded. Would not recommend Lennar as a builder. The entire experience left us disappointed and took the excitement out of buying our home.

Sales guy wasn’t truthful. Townhome was not move-in ready. Follow up getting things fixed has been painful. President of Coastal Carolina was non-responsive. On-site builder Scott is truly a nice guy trying his hardest.

After less than a month of moving in a flood occurred in my home, flooding 2/3 of the interior of my newly built home. The drain lines to the washing machine was not connected. I also experienced another flood in a former LENNAR home I had moved from-a Coach home- After just 3 days a sewage backup breached my master bath. Numerous experiences brought to one main conclusion with Lennar employees: incompetence. ALL laborers at LENNAR: No one spoke the English language, making it difficult to communicate my issues. The Lennar purchasing experience is a never ending resubmitting of paperwork, seemed like on a daily basis. The interfacing with the utility providers appeared to have never happened. Delays on water/sewer, because the proper forms weren't filed, the CATV took a month to get installed. Electricity was the only one not causing a problem, because they already had it turned on. Even after the sale, they kept contacting us for forms they lost somehow. Professional is not in their vocabulary. The sod in the yard is the worst job I've ever seen. Home was dirty on move-in day - countertops, flooring and carpets. No hot water for a week. Sliding glass door wouldn't stay locked. Garage floor had globs of mudding all over. No one to go over all the tech installed. Now there's mice. Called exterminator. Lennar customer care doesn't want to take any responsibility.

It’s obvious that the sales teams don’t care about you as a person. It appears the sale is their main goal. We heard phrases when asking questions about the home that didn’t seem right “oh I thought you wanted to buy a home. We have many people interested.” Or “yes I’ll take care of that” after the 3rd email and still needing to send more emails and a phone call just to find out how you’re getting your move in key. The construction manager was Lennar’s savings grace. He was a pleasure to work with.

Lennar messed up on the grass installation date that led to ALL the grass dying that Lennar had installed . I went by my verbal conversation with Kyle because I trusted him. When things went wrong he and the managers either went mute or told me to show something in written otherwise they can’t do anything. My total expenditure for this goof up is $3.5k!! Shane started telling me all about when the grass needs to be installed that Kyle or no one else mentioned when they should have. On top of that he said he won’t talk to the landscape company to see if they can give me the builder rate ...
