Not fixed the countertop, doors and floor.

I put in a service call for the countertops to be fixed and the first company agreed that the countertops were cracked then the lennar construction manager came and said that he would take a look at it and see what lennar wanted to do about it. I later received a letter to sign that they address the issue and that the countertop was not cracked. You can see it crystal clear that is not a natural crack. I am very upset about this problem and I don't know if I will ever buy another home with the lennar. Or recommend to anyone unless this issue is resolved. In addition one part of the living ...

Location was awesome. It was a lot cheaper than a custom home. It was painful to be ripped off and know only recourse was to walk away from a nice house. Fixtures standard low budget builder grade items. Workmanship adequate to substandard. No choices or deviations from master plan. Understand have bought a “house in a box”, meaning the absentee builder or franchise operator purchased plans and hired local labor to execute. Local labor seemed to be inexperienced subcontractor or day laborers, or sketchy bottom feeder companies. Little attention to detail or focus on quality. So far, ...

Lennar Builders - Disappointed

  • Sally A.

We are disappointed in the lack of care presented by Lennar. We we’re given a “book” at our final walk through that covers what Lennar will and will not cover in the warranty period (before closing and after closing). If we had seen this before deciding to build here, we would have most likely walked away. We have had to take care of several issues at our own expense which leads us to believe that they don’t care about customer satisfaction. Issues like a French drain in our back yard because five houses drain into it and it stayed wet multiple days following a rainy day. No heat/cooling vent ...

Cracking driveway, two lights blown already, breakers popping

Moved in and within 30 days, I noticed the driveway is cracking (not covered under their warranty, but they are ripping out and repouring the other driveways that haven't been sold.. So maybe you'll be lucky) Central Air was mis-wired and needed a service call to wire correctly, took three weeks to come out. Several electrical breakers continue to pop with any type of wind, other homes owners report the same issue. Already had to replace two of the LED hall/bedroom lights having them burnt out and they are not of a bulb replacement style. When they are burnt you'll need to replace the ...

There are too many issues to mention, so I’ll name a few. First we signed in August 2018 for a “quick move in” and was told it should be completed end of October or mid November. Delay after delay. We finally closed February 28, 2019 and there were still some things not finished. There were a lot of careless mistakes, poor paint job, issues with things, paint on floor, bathtub and light fixtures, yard was not leveled as they said it would be - there was a big hill in the backyard that wasn’t there when we signed to buy the house and we asked many times for them to level it and they ...

Dream home turned into problem

I had an amazing experience with the salesperson and the Mortgage company when buying my home but the quality and craftsmanship of the home is very poor. I have had nothing but issues since the purchase of the home. the major issues I have is water getting into my homes from the roof and window. this has been an ongoing issue that I thought was fix but as of today with the rain, I found out its not. I am totally frustrated and can't seem to get in contact with anyone high up in the company. I would not recommend the purchase of a lennar home.

After five work orders and two telephone calls over a months time. i am still unable to use my kitchen sink, garbage disposal, and dishwasher. I had to cancel my house warming due to the lack of response from customer care and not being able to use my kitchen. Each time I submitted a request, I was told someone would contact me within 48 hours. It is now over 30 days, no one has contacted me, and I still can not use my kitchen..

Poor Quality and Craftmanship

Throughout the construction the quality of the work perform by the different subcontractors and the cheap material selection was obvious. The price paid for the house is not reflected in the quality of the different components of the house (Kitchen, Doors, floors, etc.) Lennar has a very good marketing department and with the story of being an Alexa ready house gives the impression that the quality is top notch then you come to realize that it is not the case. I do not recommend buying a Lennar home, unfortunately it is too late for me.

Several open issues during and after construction. Materials and fixtures used are of poor quality. Landscaping is a joke. All contractors completing warranty work should be closely supervised for a favorable outcome. They love to cut corners and just get by. The reason it wasn't done right the first time was due to lack of supervision and quality control. Insulation is falling out of the attic and into our guest room closet through the light fixture every time the closet door is opened or closed. Patio door is crooked and none of the appliances were level. The garage door was improperly ...

Where to start...cheap cabinets with very poor installation (lots of exposed raw wood, drawers that don't close properly) poorly installed island countertop, cracks in drywall and cement, major ant problem, refrigerator circuit breaker flipped twice in first few months, and what makes it even worse is that Lennar does not follow through on repair requests. I get the feeling they hope I'll get tired of asking and just give up.

Initially presentations were good. Communication throughout the process has been lacking, specifically we were not told about delays. We were told projected meetings and weeks passed without contact. We were told we would be told if there were delays that would affect the delivery date. We were not told. This affected several things for us. That seems false. False expectations were set as if to commit us without follow through from Lennar. Dissatisfied. Would never recommend Lennar to anyone. Very unfortunate and negative impact.

The sales associates were absolutely amazing hence the two stars, but that was it. The two months leading to closing on the home, we had miscommunication after miscommunication with the loan team and didn't receive confirmation on our loan into 2 days before closing pending documentation that we uploaded two months prior to closing. After moving in, there were some minor maintenance that needed taken care of and the Customer Care team was quick to address the tasks but prior to a week of heavy snowfall in our area, we attempted to park two sedan cars into the two-car garage and found that ...

The communication between staff was horrible. For example my husband and I would talk to someone in the loan department and would expect that message to be delivered to the each person on our mortgage case, but instead we would have to explain our self again and again for the same matter. We also had short notice when it came to gathering information to be sent over, and was then told certain things would be accepted but came to find out later in the home-buying process it’s not accepted. The communication was so bad that on the day of closing we didn’t have a time to close. We were waiting ...

Prior to purchasing our new Lennar home, I read some reviews on the web. There were more negative reviews than I would have expected. I addressed this with our sales consultant and he simply said that because of the size of Lennar, there would be more negative reviews than with other builders and likewise there would be more positive reviews. Lennar mortgage is the reason for the low scores in some areas. The lennar lender assigned to us (craig) caused unnecessary stress to our whole family. He took 3 months to finally submit to the underwriters and we were turned down. He did not submit all of our income and refused to talk to us when I asked to review the income amounts He had entered. We had to resubmit the same paperwork multiple times all for nothing.
