Simple mistakes lead to big problems

The sales associates filled out our contracts incorrectly with simple mistakes and would not correct them when they were pointed out. Example incorrect contact information. They along with the mortgage team gave us understated estimates due to interest rates that did not match the offered interest rates. This was also not corrected when it was pointed out. 1. We expected Lennar would install top soil and follow SAWS guidelines when planting it, as Paul Canyon is served by SAWS. Instead, in less than 48 hours, our grass died although we watered it following SAWS rules. 2. Lennar sales representative sold us the house assuring us that the sod would be planted to the fence and later we found out that was not the case. She either misinformed us or plainly lied.

If I could go back I would have never bought a Lennar home. To start they act like they throw all these extras in when in reality all the homes come with them. When I walked through the home the first time there was a beer can on the kitchen counter (screams quality). You could fill up multiple pages with the amount of repairs they had to make initially. Of course now that I’ve closed I find things pretty often that were poorly done and now it’s too late for them to repair it. The carpet is coming up in a lot of the corners, especially the stairs. This is my third lennar home. I have referred many friends and family to this builder and will never again and will never purchase from lennar again. The sales department doesn’t care about customers and just cares about numbers. I will say the team that actually addresses issues after your purchase with repairs to your home have been pleasant and responsive. Workmanship and features included have definitely scaled way down since our last lennar purchase in 2016. Buying experience with Lennar is just painful from Loan process to closure. Lack of information and so much of confusion created by the Loan officer, Insurance and everything enroute including closure with so much confusion on when is closing until the day before. So many issues even after closure that I couldn't rent out for a month just to fix the umpteen number of issues that took repeated tickets to be created for AC etc. The only one that I should recognize for being better is Mike on the maintenance side that raised prompt tickets for resolution despite so many repeated occurrences. Worst home buying experience

This was the worst home buying experience ever! From the beginning to the end! Lennar has gone from using decent materials to the cheapest materials they can find! The grass had to be replaced and that was a hassle to get done, the garage floor edge broke and we told nothing can be done, the landscaping is terrible. The tress were put in incorrect and they refused to fix them and now they are broken. We are being told it’s our responsibility to get them fix! We are two months in from when we closed and I still haven’t even received a call back from our loan officer with answers to questions I had from when we moved on! I can say the only decent experience and people were Ana and Sharon who also tried to help. Terrible experience with a terrible built home!

Brand new home had a broken truss that had to be repaired. Was informed that the HVAC system had been installed on the wrong side of the house, which it still is. According to the construction foreman it won’t affect the system. Hope he’s right. Inferior lumber used throughout construction. Terrible drywall prep and painting throughout entire house. Horrible Closing

The closing experience was the worst. Lennar Mtg had my initial information 5 weeks ahead of closing - they asked for multiple docs sometimes twice, they failed to forget we had an out of state signing and it took several calls and support from others outside of Lennar to get the closing completed. Lennar knew we had closed and had movers coming to deliver and they acted like it was no big deal until there was pressure and then the closing day was a mess- didn't receive my front door code until 5pm and then it didn't work. Lack of Communication is a big problem with Lennar

Sales person difficult to get in touch with. Did not return calls. Warranty issues were identified as being completed but were not. I took possession of the home and there was paint everywhere-both inside on the tile and outside on the pavers. The counters were scratched AFTER I did the walkthrough. When asking questions or for help I at times just got no answer. Also, expected the same home as the model but many things were not included. There was no discussion or information about this. Too bad for you is the attitude. I would go elsewhere.

We are not first time home buyers and we did our due diligence to make sure we were pursuing the best possible purchase available to us, but Lennar made the experience so horrible that we will never purchase another property through them again. Continuing Problems with Air Conditioner

I tried calling Hadley Heating and Air - they have told me I have a one year warranty on my air conditioning unit. I called them at 5:52 p.m. this evening. I absolutely love my home but there is absolutely no communication. Everyone was so friendly until we signed the closing papers. We were told from EVERYONE if you need anything even after closing reach out and we will take care of you. The project manager John is horrible. As a real estate investor, I am a 5x Lennar home investor. 4 of them are in FL. This 5th home at Glen Pine is the worst closing experience I have ever had. I will not buy another home from Lennar in FL anymore. The main issues are poor workmanship at and missing house keys. My closing was delayed 4 weeks because of these and other issues.
