The only good thing about this experience is Josh when i first bought the house. The lending process and about of defects in walkthrough, make me never want to recommend this company

Lennar's motto is "Everything's Included" yes... but... Things that are NOT included: Washer/Dryer, Door/drawer pulls for cabinets, fence, back yard, more than one bare thin coat of paint. During initial conversations we were told that there were closeout specials and that we could make an offer and things would be accepted, this was far from true. During the loan processes we were told that 4% was available, this was also far from true. There were a lot of places where it felt like Lennar made promises that they had no intention of keeping and it very much soured me to the experience. ...

Thank you Jason for your review and feedback. We apologize that the features of our homes fell short of your expectations. We value your feedback and have shared your comments with upper management in your division for their review.

No communication

The day before closing I showed up for final inspection to be told the house was not ready and I should have been contacted by sales. No one could tell me when it would be ready. Then I was told I would definitely close by the 29th. I closed on the 20th, 3 weeks later. Delays happen but it is clear they knew there would be a delay long before they notified me, 24 hours before closing. Now that I have been moved in about a month I still can not receive mail because my mailbox is in the construction zone and the key has not yet been provided to usps. No updates as to when this will be ...

Lennar responded:
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience caused by the delays in closing your home, the mailbox issue, the unaddressed broken screen, and the construction debris left behind. Closing process was terrible

We encountered poor communication all the way around during the closing process. The closing coordinator scheduled a “walk-through”, and scheduled it for the wrong time/date. We arrived as told to, and there was no-one there. The follow up was absolutely horrid. The home was NOT ready to close. We encountered plumbing issues, walls were unfinished, blue tape was everywhere, broken tiles, master shower was not finished (no shower doors), the kitchen counter is still uneven, broken window screen, lanai door would not close/lock. I could go on and on with the issues. For a solid week after ...

Extremely rude and arrogant management

I tried to change my closing date because my bank CD was maturing three weeks after the tentative closing date. I have purchased 3 Lennar houses before and never had any closing date issues and after purchasing this house it was an investment of almost $1000000.00 on Lennar houses. The answer I received from upper management was discourteous: “We DON'T move dates!” you should not talk to your loyal customers in this tone (extremely unprofessional).

Lennar responded:
Good morning Gramz,

Sales team are pathetic

Sales team are pathetic and from our perspective and the experience we went through they seem to be racist and biased. First we confirmed a home with specific direction for a price, but next day it was allocated for another person saying the other buyer paid them high price. They did not give a chance for us to bid and see the result. Again we had to wait for another home but with a compromise of direction and location as we wanted a home in the community due to friends.

Lennar responded:
Thank you Natarajan for taking the time to share your homebuying experience. We are sorry to hear you had to go through that.

From the very start I had issues with the loan officer not being proactive and responding to messages in a timely manner. The day of closing my name was not spelled correctly in the title/documents. I have been in the home and there is something going on with the plumbing where the toilet does not flush properly. There were also missed parts that were not painted by the time I closed on home. I unfortunately noticed a discrepancy in the fence but since I closed on the home lennar is no longer responsible. When we were touring the homes, it was fine. But once we actually decided to pull the trigger, the experience was downhill from there. Typos in contracts, long wait times for a response to our questions, no response at all from Lennar mortgage loan officer (they tried to bait and switch us but luckily we had an outside lender lined up just in case this happened), and then the home wasn’t even completed by our walkthrough date. And this is just for starters. After closing, we’ve had a roof leak, broken refrigerator, and have noticed shoddy workmanship throughout the home. Definitely not ...

The original house we got on contract for was not the house that was built. No drawers in any of the bathrooms, and not the kitchen cabinets that were in the home that we were told we were buying. We were not told about certain credit requirements for the interest rates until after we were under contract. We were told that we could not close in a certain month and then were rushed to close in that same month to get the home off of the books. The utilities were promised to be on at the time of the home inspection and were not on BOTH times the home was to be inspected. We finally had to back ...

Love the area, but from the start had a bad experience with Lennar. First, we asked for a different sales consultant which they provide a different one but the first was still involved with paperwork. Second, tried to screw me out of an interest rate lock which was already accepted. Builders did a poor job with material and not following design as they had to rebuild my island on move in day with it being to far over. With warranty repairs, also poor job with the fix of my plumbing leak. They sent out 4-5 different people from the same company to fix a simple drywall repair. They closed me in ...

They cut corners on everything. Material, especially doors are incredibly cheap. The new house even looks like it's been lived in by other people for months. It's was dirty with lots of scratches when we took possession. We have all the photographs for evidence. The salespeople were tricky, sneaky, unwilling to help, and don't return calls most of the time. About the only tiny bright spot are the warranty/Lennar Care people who help address issues with the house. And there were tons of issues, probably more than 2 dozens. Will try to avoid Lennar in the future at all costs.

This is our first Lennar home. Very disappointed! Garage door not working after purchase, took two weeks for someone to come out! Lousy customer service. They are nice before closing, afterwards, zero customer service. Run, don't walk away from this builder! Cheap appliances, cheap paint used on walls, We moved from AZ where the builder actually cared about their customers. Very disappointed and let down by this builder. Would NEVER buy another Lennar home or recommend to anyone.

My sales associate was not very knowledgeable abt the questions I had and he was easily offended. The lender scrutinized our accounts and disqualified the money we had to bring to closing. The house's workmanship and materials seems well built but lacking some very important features that leave a big impression like no sprinkler system, no garage door opener, no covered back porch, no fans in any room, dining area too small for a dining table, living room too narrow, and grass is dying. Our plan is to sell as soon as possible and get into something better suited for our family.

If I could give a 0 I would. I have barely been in my home a month and the paint is already chipping on this cheap siding y’all used. Some of the door knobs are loose. We purchased our home a few months back and the process seemed like it was never going to end. Our sales agent Devonte did nothing besides open up the house for us to view and collect his commission, the process of getting approved was so murky that we never felt confident during any point in the process that we were going to end up with the home. First, we do love the house. However, Lennar has been a nightmare to work with. Up until the middle of January, we were told our house would be ready at the end of April of 2024 which would have been perfect timing for us. On January 18th we were told that we would be closing 12 days later on January 30th, giving us almost no warning whatsoever. If we delayed closing at all they were going to charge us $300 per day (READ YOUR CONTRACT!) for the delay. So we said fine, let us get our inspector in, like we mentioned at the beginning. Avoid this place like the plague. The only smooth thing about the buying process was dealing with the finance/mortage department (the people who take your money. Go figure.) It is also usually a dump as they don’t make the contractors clean up after themselves. It was pretty bad before enough residents complained to force their hand. This developer has been a headache from the start. I started the initial paperwork on Thursday 01/18/24 around roughly 9pm. My walkthrough was then scheduled for Friday 01/26. There's a lot of little issues with the house, mostly cosmetic. The dishwasher door doesn't close it's scraping the top of the counter. There's a lot of shotty work. The door frames are about an inch from the floor so they just filled it in with caulk.
