Terrible experience, first time home buyer. Our realtor was shocked and surprised, a lot of first for her. Weeks with out any info or communication, to then have these abrupt request. This and this needed within 48 hours. Every step of the way was a hassle and a pain. Even closing was a hassle. Home is great but the buying process was horrible. To the point that gave me second thoughts of purchasing.

My friend/real estate agent owned and sold many Lennar homes, so we had a first hand view into the process going into it. From start to finish communication was very poor and even worse within the Lennar team. Each individual we worked with was pretty good, but collectively it was a total mess. Throughout the whole process, they were threats of taking the house. They were just extortion of making us pay more money just because they felt like it forcing us to use their lender even though their lender would never respond to me sometimes at all or I will take four or five days. The sales rep was very short and disrespectful. All around a horrible customer service. They acted as if we did not matter and if something didn’t work out, they could just sell it to somebody else. They didn’t want to help us work through any issues. I just wanted to try to take the house from us.

The Lennar sales rep that we had gave off "manager's son" vibes. He was never at work so we never met him and every time we called he was doing some not work related activity during work hours. He got extremely frustrated with us when we took a few extra hours to review the one-sided sales contract and then took as long as he please because he was "driving horses down to Georgia." We have purchased several homes in the past, and this by far has been our worst experience. First, we had many difficulties with the builders in order to get the issues fixed correctly in the home before the signing date. The representative who was assigned to us and who suppose to be handling these issues, made us feel like we were in the wrong for bringing them to his attention, and he tried to pursued us that these issues were not valid. We had a terrible buying experience. The lack of communication was our main issue. Katelyn was passive aggressive and would speak to me as if I were a child because I would ask the wrong people questions. We used all Lamar’s preferred everything. Lender, lawyer, inspector, etc. we had to work with lennars sales manager Justin as our sales rep Phill was terrible at following thru and following up. They really led on the feeling that they were doing us a favor, we weren’t treated as a valuable customer. Phill was very inconsistent in things he’d say. At first I was happy and seemed things started off smooth pre qual and home contract but later throughout the process became very sour and stressful. Our loan officer lacked communication through the entire process and failed to disclose certain information until day of closing. Paid top dollar for a home that was seven months later than promised and not top notch in the least. Had to get Lennar leaders involved. Subcontractors are lacking. Finally got a new construction manager who is doing his best to fix all the issues, but you don't get what you pay for. Pool and community areas are likely another year before complete if we are lucky. Still get to pay HOA fees. A lot of over promising and under delivering.

wrong mailbox key handed

Had a bad experience with the recent purchase. I was either given with a wrong mailbox key or the label inside mailbox is swapped. I’m only getting mails of my neighbour. Followed up with postal office and they say they’re delivering mail to correct box. HOA does not help with this and no one from Lennar owns this issue to resolve. The issue is still unresolved

Information on website about available homes and prices of homes is not accurate. There is wide variations. Home selling agents don't seem to have the right info, and try to simply set aside any complaints/issues. Selling agent hung up on me when I raised an issue that I had. Inflexible schedules when final walk throughs are being scheduled.

This is our third property we have purchased, and it is our first with Lennar. We used Lennar title and Lennar mortgage hoping the process would be seamless as they are all connected. This was the worst home buying experience we have ever had. A ton of miscommunication and mistakes were made, and just a lack of ownership from all Lennar companies. Customer Care follow up is lacking. my refrigerator needed to be replaced due to interior damage causing my produce to freeze repeatedly. I’m going on two months and I have still not received a replacement or any responses from LENNAR. Several other very simple repairs need to be completed (carpet repairs, electrical panel door latch repair, exterior paint touch up, cabinet door paint drips), but other than virtual meetings identifying the issues, no scheduling repairs or follow have been done. Very dissatisfied with Emily’s failure to return calls or follow up accordingly.

Our “realtor” never responded to our inquiries timely and pushed us to use Lennar lending after we communicated at least 10 times were going with Navy Fed. We gave the lender and chance and he was extremely disrespectful to my wife after she said she was not going with Lennar. Build quality is good and the building manager was good at fixing the issues we provided. Everyone seemed money hungry and if any decision we made would make someone lose money they would get obviously irritable. Would not recommend Lennar after that experience.

I was really excited to buy my first ever home but after the experience I’ve had with LENNAR I would have chosen differently. The experience I had with the mortgage team started off very rough and I experienced very poor communication and errors with the loan officer. Sales person was great and responsive. Quality of work was poor, responsiveness from construction team was poor. After closing for over 6 weeks we have not had sod on our yard. We financed through Lennar and they later sold the loan to a different company. It’s been a roller coaster ride since the day since we signed the contract. Just to highlight our issues: - construction/closing delayed multiple times from December 2022 to April 2023 eventually. - the workmanship is below par at best. - the walls are not straight.
