This should have been an exciting and happy time but it wasn't. The quality of the work is horrible. The frames around my doors look worse than the home I live in for 30 years. We were rushed into closing on the house and there is paint on everything. The cupboards are a mess. My last home was a new build and looked nothing like this one. Shame on you Lennar for making this a stressful experience. You have no quality control.

If I have to start again, I will only buy ready to move in house. We were promised to close our house house on march and we got the house on September. They delay it for 6 months. Because of that we are paying $850 more every month. Key hand over process is lame. I am buying a house not a toy. They handover the key at outside of the garage and he/she left the welcome goodies bag on the floor. It was awful.

I knew coming into this that buying a house can be stressful but it definitely could be better with the right help. When i went to see the house Ana was good, however the second i was moved to lennar mortgage the nightmare began, the loan officer Wesley he eas good at the beginning, then there was a LOT of miscommunication, changes of information and to make it worse to be honest i felt i was gaslighted towards the end, putting me in a position where i had no choice but to buy. Before we put our NON REFUNDABLE down payment of 5% of the purchase price everything was great. Communication was good. New home consultant was always on the ball replying to text message quickly and always avail to answer questions. After the deposit however is a different story. Communication from Lennar about my closing date and move-in date was horrible. Statements and representations made by Lennar, as well as information contained in official documents memorializing my home purchase were inconsistent from the eventual closing date provided to me. There was no transparency. I was only given 7 days advanced notice that my closing date had changed. Horrible, will not buy from Lennar ever again

The issues started as soon as I closed, faulty main door (not locking nor closing), missing components inside the house, missing cabinets, food left in the fridge by the crew, there about 18 items still not completed by Lennar. And of course the promised of reimbursing for my expenses for the faulty main door was 6 weeks the estimated amount to get the money back and of course, nothing.

First Time Home Buyer with Lennar

My experience with the property manager of my new development was not a pleasant one. I was unable to reach him most of the time and when I did he was very short with me as if I was inconveniencing him with my questions. I also experienced a huge delay in my closing time which was due to covid but when I did close one of the window fixtures had still not been put on the home and is currently still missing. My Lennar loan officer on the other hand was amazing and provided me with all the information I needed and the construction team has also been very responsive.

This was by far the worst experience purchasing a new home with any new builder and the worst interior finish of any new home we have purchased over the last decade. Issues started right after signing the contract - a home that was listed as “quick move in” suddenly was only available only 3 months later and then eventually was closed after 7 months. I had 3 rate lock extensions. After we closed the home, the house was essentially delivered as unfinished. Zero to very little communication, lack of communication between trades and parties, so many outstanding issues. Title was terrible and didn’t do half of the things they were supposed to do. I have buy a few new home in my life. This been the worse a sloppy job was done on the finishing touch this home wasn’t moving ready. On my 1st call to repair stuff I put in 7 request. Forget outside work that a mother call. Really disappointed

Once you sign your contract, you become just antother number to Lennar, from the Sales Center to the Construction Foreman. They are not forth coming with information, progress updates are elementary at best. The management team is more concerened about the "sticks in the air" than they are about your home. Also, tell your buyers agent to read their contracts too, make sure they get paid on the whole house and not just the "base price" of the ho,e The sales contracts and all the addendums ore to protect the seller, not the buyer. Myself who is in the financial industry and worked as a Mortgage specialist found this process to be very difficult with horrible communication. The builder was delayed over 7-months. Lennar did not communicate well with their customers, costing their customer tens of thousands of additional dollars. We found out that we were getting our house keys with less than 24 hours notice.

I requested for appraisal two weeks before closing they never disclosed until the day before closing. Lennar disclosed low appraisal just the day before closing and asked me to pay the difference or to walk out leaving the pre advance paid. Very bad experience overall

This is the sixth home I’ve purchased and the worst experience I’ve ever had. The mortgage officer does not answer calls or emails and after being replaced, the second one didn’t do that either! The processor repeatly asks for documents she already requested and when I point out that I’ve already sent them… no apologies but instead prolongs the whole process further. The unit itself is acceptable however the swimming pool was supposed to be completed a month ago and still far from complete. Contractors that are sent to fix a problem do not show up or do half the job. I am lied by the different suppliers all the time. I will give you one of many examples. Defective glass sliding doors. I put in a service request and several weeks later your provider partner calls and makes an appointment for July the thirteenth to replace the doors. We had bad experience with lennar mortgage that at the last minute we closed with a high mortgage rate when we had months before to get paperwork all finished and a lower mortgage rate also we took off work to fly in for a final walk through but they didn’t know we were coming in and wasted our time and money to fly into town and hotel

Our home buying experience wasn’t bad at first but the closer we got to closing the worse the experience was. The mortgage company told us they couldn’t lock our rate when I asked and then when our payment jumped up $400 in a matter of two months, they finally locked our rate.
