Hard to get responses to issues. Management is a revolving door. This is the 3rd survey I’ve received. Stop sending out surveys and use those resources to improve customer service. Just come talk to me or some of our neighbors. Lennar is Good at marketing, bad at customer service.

Unfortunately my buying experience wasn’t a smooth or pleasant one. The home itself is nice but the workmanship left much to be desired. Sloppy work had to be pointed out versus the workers recognizing their sloppy work and correcting it on the spot. The construction manager was awful. He did not communicate well with myself or the realtor; he failed to keep us in the loop of key milestones. Great Home, Terrible Logistics

Home is wonderful. The logistics of buying were terrible. After we had closed Lennar tried to get us to pay a reinvestment fee of 2500 bucks, claiming they forgot to send it to title for closing. After 4-5 months of disputing they finally waived the charge. This was very frustrating and put quite a bad taste in our mouths. Because of this, we would only recommend buying from Lennar if it was a pre-lived in home. We would not recommend buying new from Lennar.

The finance people don’t answer any calls or emails give me an hour heads up to close. Walk through was horrible. Walls weren’t straight, exterior paint doesn’t match, my washer wasn’t set up correctly and it flooded my laundry room the first time I used it. I have plenty more things that went wrong. Some were corrected but some where not. Lennar’s excuse was they are closing on 200 houses that month. How is that my problem? Every neighbor I talk to has / have complaints. This has been a horrendous experience. From the loan application, closing and move-in phases have been miserable. Disclosures statement from Lennar was wrong day before closing. Closing attorneys called me "petty" when I found differences in their charges. Refused to give me keys despite differences in disclosure statement provided by Lennar and the closing attorney. The house was not finished when we moved in. We are now 6.5 months into the home and we are still having issues that are not resolved (e.g, cracks in stairs, buckled floors, unlevel floors, damaged appliances, damaged ...

Lennar financing was the worst I’ve experienced as a customer and a professional realtor.

Lennar financing doesn’t know how to treat its customers. Several of my neighbors had the same experience of the company not paying attention to detail. Several times I had to send multiple copies off financial records, contacts not having updated information, closing work tickets without fixing issues, and having to continually show job validation records to name just a few. They treated me and the other veterans like we were 2nd class citizens. Buyer beware!!!

Poor Workmanship

Poor workmanship and cheap materials. Lack of attention to detail and a lot of corner cutting. We do not recommend using the in-house mortgage company, Lennar Mortgage / Eagle Mortgage. And pay attention during your walk through. Take your time. We have paint splattered on the floors, paint is missing in corners of ceilings, on windowsills, etc. and the paint is so cheap it literally flakes off the ceiling and walls. Lennar builds a structurally sound home. The quality of workmanship and materials for what you pay is TERRIBLE. They build the home and you will spend months getting warranty work done. They have been great to repair what we find. The problem is you have to find it to get it fixed. The rates with their mortgage company and fee are more expensive than outside. The solar through them is a lot more costly than if you went outside of Lennar. Most builders will have certain companies as preferred lenders, solar, etc but Lennar uses its own subsidiaries and YOU PAY THE PRICE!

Lennar’s sales and mortgage departments are amazing but that’s where the experience ends. Once you are in your home you are dead to them. If you need to get anything fixed GOOD LUCK !! It’s jumping hoop to hoop. You become a lot number to them #552. They make it so difficult perhaps so you will get frustrated and fix the issue yourself. My FRONT DOOR knob has been broken for 2.5 months. They even sent me an email asking me to write this review, that’s how obvious they are.

I have been around home building my entire life and have never seen a house get built with such lack of care. There were so many things that stood out to show that one the contractor is either way to rushed. Or two they just don’t care. Walls with very little or no paint. Tile that didn’t get grouted in places. Brick work that looked like a little kid did it. List goes on and on. This is just the builder side of things. I have plenty of complaints for the entire company.

My experience was a poor one from the time I put my contract in until now, three months after closing. There of been so many miscommunications and poor customer service issues they won’t all even fit in this review box. Suffice to say, I would never, under any conditions, build another house with Lennar.

The house wasn't ready to move in to. Paint on carpets, custom cabinets bowed, drawer fell off, dust and dirt in paint of base boards and trim, closet doors rubbed each other scrapping paint... our "celebration day" was such a disappointment we went looking for another home, so mad and disappointed.
