Frustrating and terrible buying experience

Overall my experience was downhill since the moment we decided to buy with Lennar. I could write an essay about everything that went wrong. Employees are poorly organized and departments do not communicate between each other at all. I felt like they were always trying to pull one over on me. Once I moved in and I thought the nightmare was finally over within the first week of living here we had to make 4 warranty claims. Even paying my mortgage has been a hassle. Literally could not say one good thing about this experience.

I got my keys but didn’t get my garage door opener or my mailbox key. As a first time home buyer it was not only annoying but very difficult to deal with . I didn’t like the roughness and the figure it out mentality that I slowly came to realize. It was a very rushed process and I had to find out or contact them about my keys which should have been explained to me.

The overall home quality is poor. The workmanship is horrible with lots of items unfinished and poorly done. It seems to be no quality control of the workers work. Appliances are cheap and dangerous. The home is not the same as the model we were shown. Different floor plan. Basically the house is a double wide trailer on a cement slab. Regret the purchase and wouldn't recommend Lennar as a builder.

I was constantly lied to by the construction manager that things would be fixed before closing and it wasn’t. Now every week I’m dealing with the warranty department which that person said this house should never have been closed on in the shape that it was in. I’m trying to get a petition on Lennar from other homeowners that have problems. Fire your construction manager.

Do not be one of the first in the community as you will pay more and have less incentives than the homebuyers to follow. The construction/Lennar staff have absolutely no sense of urgency. Building material and trucks have been parked outside my completed home that blocked me from driving out of my garage. I have had an issue in my home since first walk thru and over two months later given constant run around. Still with no answers and it is delaying everything else that needs to happen in my home and my elderly mother has to delay moving in because of this issue and creating so much stress to my family. My husband ended up in the hospital with the added stress. Buying a new home should be happy and satisfying time not like this.

Lennar needs to do what they agreed to do. Closed based on their word that things would be fixed right away. I bet two months post close and nothing is fixed

Everything I see is nothing but a rip off. Want your money, after that no follow up on customer to see how things are. Never heard from salesperson to see if I was happy and how everything is going. Never will I buy from Lennar again.

When evaluating purchase for Coach Home in Dec of 23 we were told completion would be in Q1 of 25. Contract stated that completion would be in Dec of 24. Actual completion was moved to Oct putting us under a financial strain to sell exit house in poor sales market of the summer and early fall months. We asked for help from Matt to move us to a later build in the schedule and that was met with cold indifference. HIs response was "you have to sell the house for loose your deposit." Worst sales and concierge personnel to work with!

Don't work with Jennifer in sales and Whitney in the concierge dept unless you want a headache! Stay away from Lennar mortgage. Whitney is an untrustworthy person, they are not worth the headache.

Company has been absolutely horrible since moving into the house. I’ve been here for less than a month and a half. I’ve had a roof leak due to my vents not being installed properly. I’ve had breakers go out. I’ve had things not sealed and also I’ve had a hole open up in my lanai. Trades people have been scheduled to come out they no-show customer service reps also ghost you when you try to get a response out of them. I paid 421K for my house and Jesus Christ. I can’t believe paying that much money gets you such bad customer service Lennar is a horrible company. Do not buy go elsewhere.

A faulty installation of the dishwasher flooded our kitchen on 9/26. A contractor had to come in to rip off, dry and clean the floor boards plus remove the damaged cabinets. We were forced to stay away for 11 days. After over 2 months, the floor and cabinet replacement still has not started because the materials have not been delivered. Really? This whole experience was truly terrible. We feel like we got the run around for everything. When we met Hailey she was great and super helpful. She was the best person to deal with throughout this whole process. Everyone else was extremely unprofessional, rude, and difficult to contact. If I had known how stressful this would be I would never have bought this home. When things went bad I was threated with losing my deposit if I did not follow through on their timeline not mine. I am elderly and wanted a next generation home and they are the only builders who do them. The things on our punch list are still not done and it closed on Sept 27th. Most employees lie and no parts of Lennar communicates with each other.

Home came with multiple cracks in the foundation that was covered up under carpets and Vinel flooring . Only noticed after ripping out carpet to add more Vinel flooring . If I knew the foundation that many huge cracks , I would have passed on buying this property. Poor workmanship and very poor customer service .

Please check everything very carefully before accepting house. There are many issues in the house and warranty sucks. Please stay away from purchasing Lennar if you have other builder options. Lennar delivers poor quality house. Also their sales and construction team is very irresponsible and careless. They usually don’t listen and deliver on promises they make to customers.

I am not happy with the home buying experience we have had with Lennar. There were many issues before closing on the house that needed to be addressed and although some were addressed it wasn’t done properly and at this time we are still having the same problems, our main concern is the Lennar contracts with companies that do not stand behind their work. The prime example is the pool, the pump was leaking prior to closing which was supposed to be fixed and to this day the pump is still leaking, the pool is leaking and we are footing the bill for high water consumption. Ive scheduled my first payment to be electronically sent to Lennar Mortgage on the 28 October 28 2024 because it's due 1 nov 2024. They didn't inform me that th loan had been switched to a different loan company. Only the escrow payment made it to the my first payment. This is fraud!

Super smooth transaction until you get the keys to your house and then the nightmare begins

We actually had a nice smooth transaction with the Lennar Lenders and everything was going great up until we closed. The day of closing we noticed that water from the master bath shower would leak out the front from where you enter into the shower. Our Construction manager who did the walkthrough with us made a note of this and shared a text with us who he made to someone to help us out.
