Worst New Home Transition Ever

The amount of cosmetic defects and the amount of time it has taken to fix these issue has been the worst experience of my house buying experience. We were rushed through the final walk through a lot of things were missed and the whole process just felt rushed! From the financial stand point all the way through closing. Miscommunication with the entire staff from sales to closing escrow agents. Worse experience ever. Never again will I get a Lennar home

Too many different people involved in the process and a lack of accountability. Move in items were not completed timely and still finding issues.

I cannot stress this enough: stay as far away from Lennar as possible. My experience with them has been an absolute nightmare. From the very beginning, they were unprofessional and unreliable. Deadlines were consistently missed, communication was terrible, and the quality of the work was horrendous. The house they built for me is riddled with issues—poor craftsmanship, cheap materials, and countless problems that should have been caught during construction. The staff are not that good. Very bad material quality considering that the price of the house is almost half a million dollars Issues started to appear after just one week of closing. Their warranty are scam. It doesn't cover the roof the fence the irrigation system. Overall experience BAD

The most frustrating home buying process I’ve experienced. The mortgage team continuously sent documents for signature with errors, and when pointed out repeated said to just sign them as they were only for underwriting and we’d just be signing them again later with different info. Very uncomfortable process. I was still resigning corrected papers a month after closing that I had pointed out previously and told to not worry. -Fence falling from no concrete -Windows leak -Front door leak -Poor exterior prep and painting -Worst of all AC is inadequate for home and gets warm inside home. -second worst of all is lennar warranty is terrible they try everything under the sun to avoid fixing anything. Piece of crap people. DONT BUY anything from lennar -other people in the neighborhood have issues even worse than mine.

New home but continuously vibrating, cracks visible after 2 months moving in with Lennar

I would not buy a new home with Lennar again. I paid ~$950K for a house moving in Jun 2024 that vibrates so often during days and nights whenever there is big cars running on the main street, and the shaking becomes very strong (feel like 3-4 degree Earthquakes) whenever there is a train passing by the train track which is a few blocks away from my house. And the trains pass by 3 - 4 times per day, sometimes at late mid night which makes it worse. My family had really bad times lacking of sleep and tried to get used to with the vibration and the shaking. The house also starts showing cracks ...

I’m a first-time homeowner. What should have been the best day of my life was anything but! Lennar won’t work with its customers to accommodate their work schedules. I not only MISSED my closing but I also received NO home orientation and as a result know absolutely nothing about my house. If I could do it all over again I would never have bought a home from Lennar.

My experience has been very bad, the customer service people are not responsible, the do not care about the client, they never fixed anything or to complement the commitments to fix the property, they make appointments and do not go they do not respect the client's lost time, they do not solve problems it really was one of my worst experiences buying this property, I would never recommend them.

Feeling like we were scammed a little bit, and things were a little misrepresented.

Since moving in, we have discovered a lot of subpar Building practices, craftsmanship, and quality of materials. Although addressed with the local customer care team, our backyard is a swamp. Cabinetry finishes failing from a poor cover-up of damage Prior to delivering the home. The subgrade siding material is flaking off on its edges. Our floor is sinking around the entry to the garage. Just to highlight a few of our issues. Starting to feel a little bit like we were scammed a bit.

I’ve always heard Lenar doesn’t have the best workmanship and I can see that for myself. I’ve complained from the realtor to the builder to the person that did the phone call check about our patio large step entrance. Hoping some easy fix in the future would prevent falls and injuries. I was told they would send someone out but no one came.

The truth is that I felt cheated after moving to a new house and I started to discover that they used the worst possible finishes on the inside of the house, because I didn't inspect the outside. The paint on the inside is ridiculous, they used the worst quality paint. In short, everything they used on this house was the cheapest thing in construction. Now we have to live with this horrible thing here or spend a lot of money to improve it. I don't recommend anyone invest in these Lenar houses.
