We have purchased many homes through out the years. The condition of the home after we closed on it in terms of meeting county code was pathetic. Our water heater was not hooked up to the house so no hot water, there was no insulation in the attic which is another fire code, the wiring of the home was a fire code we found out as we hired our own electrician to fix our home which was 5k later. We have taken pictures of everything. We will be hiring an attorney and also calling the city to make record of their inspector who passed the home when it should not have. Hands down the most dreadful homebuying experience. I've lost years off my life with the stress and frustration of working with Lennar. 10x worse than a colonoscopy cleanout, and a root canal with no anesthesia being done at the same time. My house was barely completed, I was forced to close with a laundry list of issues, and I'm still chasing them down to fix things, having to take time off of work for items that should have been completed correctly in the first place. In the beginning we had a few hiccups but everyone was available and supportive; however the bad experience started on the first day of the walk/ through when I was told it had to be done on a particular day and many things were not completed in the home. Since that day it has been an unpleasant experience. I finally realized no one cares once you’ve signed on the dotted line.

I am not a happy Lennar Customer! Too many issues to list here. It's exhausting. Poor communication, paid way too much for the quality of the home--materials, appliances, workmanship, quality or lack thereof, slapdash finishes, severely poor responsiveness, lack of integrity and more. All of this wears you down and leaves you angry and stuck.

I never like making a post unless I am asked. I am NOT happy with the quality of my home - unfortunately it was the best deal in town. For >460k I expect more, I hate the following: small garage, small streets, inadequate storage and parking, and horrible cell /Internet Verizon coverage. I've been living in my home for <90 days and I have huge cracks in the walls - can lights popping out. Signed House 4 Sale when the economy gets better.

My name is Luis, I can say that the salesperson who convince me to purchase the home was great. But the builder teams are awful, they don’t know respond to complaints in an appropriate way. In my case I’ve been complaining about my yard that has a fifthteen foot long and four inches deep water puddle (mud) for a month now. And I only been living the house for six week. I can’t even get no internet connection because the construction next door ripped out all the wiring. Community is very nice. House should Have lights in all rooms. Installing a fence is a horrible experience; Lennar should have system to get one in a timely, cost effective manner. Sale contracts are error riddled, impossible to understand, and so generic they have 50% not applicable. Have a contract for cash and another for financing.

I would never buy another Lennar home

Hi, This is my third lennar home, but my experience of buying of third lennar home was really bad that I would never buy another home from lennar. I had primary home and investment home from lennar prior to this...they were forcing me to close home with open drywalls and lot of work pending. Can you imagine closing home and some attorney coming to your home on Saturday evening 9PM to close home ? They forced me to do this although still pending items. They said If I dont close it today I will lose my 10% security deposit and my interest rate will go up even my rate lock doesn't expire ...

The closing process was very stressful and communication between Lennar and the attorney was disastrous. Old documents were mailed, documents were signed after the fact, and signing day was not pleasant. Please do better, Lennar.

Lennar does not communicate with buyer during the construction nor punch list resolution process. The only work punch list items when you escalate to management. Then you get attention for a day and they ignore you the next day. They make up stories as to why things do not work or why they work the way they do. And it is always the other guys fault. No one takes responsibility to correct matters.

This is by far the worst new home experience ever, due to the fact that the home was poorly done and rush with missing cabinets in which I have to wait until Feb to get finished, poor and sloppy job on the interior painting in which half of the wall were not even touch and had to paint myself. For this to be a new home felt like a fixer upper, Felt sorry for the new construction manager in which no fault of his own was very helpful and tried to fix many of the problems in which I was not the only one. We couldn’t move in for 30 days after closing because the sod wasn’t installed and we have dogs. Both yards were a giant mud pit, and the lack of sod almost caused the house not to close. Then when we needed to access the plumbing clean out, they had buried it in the dirt and sod and came in with a backhoe and ripped it all out. It has yet to be replaced. The house has flooded 3 times now when using the washing machine, dishwasher doesn’t work due to incorrect wiring. I would never buy a new home from Linnar again I have never seen a more sloppy construction job. Has take hours and hours to get things fixed If I had it to do over again I would just set aside 10k and hire people to just fix it, the hours I have had to spend are crazy and there is still tons to do Community center is over a year behind schudle and not even close to being done I am amazed Lennar is a profitable company running business this way

Make sure that the lay out, design and the type of windows are the same as what u purchased!! I was made to believed that the house I purchased was the same and exact layout with all the right windows installed but no one informed me ahead of time why the windows was not the same as the house was being built.They changed the windows into a horizontal design instead of vertical ones!!

Always is somebody else in the company to blame. The seller agent offer incentives and sign them on a contract and then is a corporate problem we can not fulfill them. The lender blame the seller agent then his boss go sick then the lender is on vacation. Then the warranty agent blames the builder the builder blame the workers then nobody answer the phone then is something else. If Learn something about Lennar is they always excuse themselves with somebody else. But when you work for the same company. Me as a costumer don’t care in which department you work. Never again

Major construction issue of water collecting in the crawl space. Unresolved after nearly three months. Customer service not responsive even to smaller issues. Walk thru are perfunctory. Explanations of home systems basic at best. They just want to slap up homes, push the sales and move on. Little care for customers who paid top dollar for a very mediocre product. Home marketing promises everything included but they excluded a refrigerator and air conditioning unit. What is provided is low grade as are the building materials.

I closed on a house in a Lennar community 6 months ago. The building process was ridiculously stressful. Zac, the building manager over my home, was hard to communicate with, did not follow through on requests, left my build sitting with unfixed issues for months. Even untouched the week between my initial walkthrough and my final one. I ended up coming to my FINAL walkthrough, with several trades people actively working to fix problems WHILE I WAS WALKING THROUGH. Closing delayed three times because house was not ready for occupancy. Punch list items promised were not completed. Still do not have water hook up to refrigerator two months after closing. Poor workmanship and no follow through on quality of work by construction superintendent. Disconnect in communication between sales team and construction team. Given our experience, would not buy another Lennar home.

I went in to this experience with Lennar with an open mind even though I read many bad reviews. In the beginning it was good and everything was progressing nicely. Then it hit dates changed multiple times which led to us being homeless for some time. Then we finally closed and it was evident that there was no detail to attention but we were promised it would be taken care quickly. Now two months in and I believe I have set the record for warranty ticket which the majority of them are not resolved. In short I will never but another Lennar home if I have a choice.

Quality of workmanship and materials are very poor. After an initial evaluation of the home, issues were notified ahead of time. The builder manager agreed to solve the issues and by surprise, the manager changed the mind and didn’t complete any updates as requested. After spending several thousands, I had to close with many defects in the home. Lennar didn’t complete the initial walkthrough issues identified and after two months of the closing, they haven’t fixed all issues.
