Lennar tried to close our home when house wasn't ready. We did Walk through 2 times but items didn't fix. Lennar pushed us to close the house and said they will charge us for each day if we push the closing date later. Finance team wasn't knowledgeble enough and they made a mistake on cash to close amount.

Houses are ok but the buying process with the builder and their relator is terrible. At a minimum if you want one of their homes get your own relatpr don't use theirs.

The communication with Lenar and especially with the saleswoman was terribly bad, no one gave us an answer to our questions, the communication was a disaster, in addition to the delivery many novelties and low quality products.

I was extremely disappointed with my whole Lennar home buying experience. My NHC Steven was horrible. I would constantly reach out for updates/status of my home multiple times before I would receive a response. It was always the same answer no change this is post COVID times and it takes a lot longer to get things done. My previous property manager from a rental I was living at told me to get a new NHC because Steven was horrible, and I should have listened to them. Lennar title. Same exact thing. Constant requests ignored and I was 2 days out from closing and still did not have a closing time. Additionally on closing day I signed all my paperwork by 3:15 pm and they left me in a "closing room" until 5:15 pm and they finally came back in and said we can’t print checks. Seriously I had sat there for 2 hours, and no one came back in to tell me anything. Complete disregard and lack of respect for anyone’s time. Lennar Construction Manager Jeff. Anytime questions would be asked you would get a blank stare and he would walk away from me without response. On closing day when I asked about the hits on my personal inspection, he could not give an answer. Just said I went up there and there was no mold. I pulled out the report and showed him what I was talking about, and he literally turned around and walked out. I paid a lot of money to get a private inspection. None of the major hits were addressed. Along with the fact that I went and did a new home orientation and my CRM and I walked the home and she had a ton of tape all along the home and nothing was complete when we hit closing day. All they did was remove the tape Alexis put up and missed a few spots. Waste of Alexis' & my time. Additionally on closing day the home wasn’t even cleaned. I was told during new home orientation that professional cleaners will come and clean and my floors will be buffed and paint that is all over my floor will be removed. The best part was after I closed, I was cleaning, and I found the "Lennar Final Cleaning Completed" door hang in a drawer. That in itself proves the home was not cleaned. I am 48 days past closing and still have hit list of items not completed. Lennar rushed me for a closing date in December with complete disregard that it was the holidays, and they would have issues with getting workers to complete the discrepancies. I kept being told they are having issues getting people to come in because its the holidays. So instead of Lennar doing the right thing and closing in January so they could turn over a beautiful home they rushed and turned over section 8 housing. I do want to say that Denise and Alexis were amazing. Response was always immediate, and their professionalism was incredible. I regret buying this home and kick myself in the butt everyday for not walking away when I wanted to. The threat of losing my deposit is what made me stay. Not the fact that I received a beautiful home because 100% I did not get a beautiful home. Lennar tricks you by telling you that certain things are included, items are installed to code, floor plans, etc. Then you find problems with everything. Lennar - Actual experience Window coverings (shades) included - not on all windows. Electrical installed to code - so far lights and outlets were found that did not meet code Painting will be complete right after walkthrough - it’s been 2 months and still is not complete Standard windows - that don’t open (imagine your smoke detector going off every time you cook) We will leave the spare tile for you - did not leave spare tile. Home is wired for internet. - there is no power in the entire room that has the wires run to it. Can’t power the router. There is also no USPS service in this neighbourhood. Trash service has not dropped off cans (it’s been two months). Almost all of the breakers are labelled wrong. The garage door has huge gaps in it. No additional power in the garage. No light in the laundry room. No doorbell (they said this was standard), not even pre wired. There’s a clubhouse but we are not allowed to access it. Homestead tax exemption is not applicable. The workmanship is very poor , my living room ceiling , you can see the taping on every seam and on my south wall you can see the screws popping through. The heat in my master bathroom is not working the vent must be blocked, I had to buy an electric heater to keep it warm at night, I have Sent emails about these issues but no response. Joe

Horrible experience from beginning to end

There is a lack of customer service and care. Will not buy again myself or recommend to anyone else.

Highly recommend being involved throughout the build, any corner to be cut will be cut by builder. Shady operation with lowest quality materials, paint, cabinets, flooring etc. Expect to be stone walled. Highly recommend hiring an inspector before closing. They will not let you on the roof to inspect roofing until after closing and this is a no drone zone. Meet the builder was halfway decent with Brian although orientation and final walk through was unpleasant. Fixed that were made were done cheaply and unprofessional, chipped cabinets especially. Warranty representative (Mitch) was especially rude, inexperienced, unknowledgeable, acted like he knew things that he didn’t, had brash sense of humor, unfriendly, was speaking over people especially buyers, brushing things off as no big deal, and had no accountability. Mitch should be relieved of his job. There are other things that are still lacking attention and we hesitate to address these items due to not wanting to deal with Mitch specifically. I have built 3 new homes this has been the worst experience

Two months after my closing, I haven't received my keys yet. Nobody from Lennar is capable of giving me a straight answer. I don't get why you rush the closing like crazy if you are not ready to provide me with my keys. Really disappointed at the level of service provided by Lennar. It's like there is no management at all in this company. Nobody takes any responsibility.

I was told I had to rewrite this because my first review was too strong. Our home buying experience was less than satisfying. Our salesperson, once the papers were signed, disappeared. Many emails and text messages were ignored. Not very comforting. We even recommended that a friend buy in the neighborhood. They did. Do you think it may have been nice if our salesperson reached out to us and said thank you for the referral. Of course not. We will move again for sure. But if this salesperson has anything to do with our next development, we will move on.

We are first time home buyers and were drawn in by Lennars "easy home buying process" and "everything included". The entire process was a nightmare (minus our amazing sells rep Heather and Warranty/Construction rep Brett). You are 100% just a number to this corporation and they do not care about you, your family or the investment you're making. They have no communication internally, so you have the same conversations with different departments and have to submit the same paperwork over and over again. We even asked some of the team members if they communicated across teams and they laughed and said NO. Every department was a headache and you had to constantly remind them to get things done. The biggest lie they told us was that they no longer provide blinds for our style of homes, even though the homes we toured had blinds. After meeting our new neighbors (who all closed on homes after us) we quickly found out that was a lie and Lennar gave all of them blinds throughout their entire home. WOW. what a joke. I wish I was surprised but that's how this whole process has been. No communication, no integrity, no care for the home buyer and never any consistency. We've already told all of our friends and family the nightmare of a process this has been and tell everyone to find a different company to purchase from. Save yourself the headache and hassle- they do not care about you, they will lie to you, and they will cut corners. They do have a few shining stars that actually care about you - Heather and Brett are incredible humans. Very grateful for them. Lennar should make them trainers and allow them to teach the rest about customer service and care. Overall- NIGHTMARE experience. We'll never buy from them again. ... More

Stay away from Lennar period. But If you must buy a Lennar home, please budget for thousands of dollar you will need to spend to get the home to a barely comfortable place to live. The price might seem reasonable at first, but when you calculate all the missing items in the home, you will end up paying significantly more than you you went with another builder. Also, be prepared for bad service all round and constant state of confusion amongst their staff.

Purchased house expecting to have installed what was advertised on their website as part of "Everything included". I did not get USB outlets, exhaust fan in master WC, or smart thermostat. In addition, building plans show exhaust fans in laundry room and master WC, but were not installed. The fine print says lennar has the right to change everything. So regardless of what it shown on building plans or website, lennar has the right to not install it. Not what I expected from a company that I felt had a good reputation.

was 2 days before closing and cosmetic issues were still not completed after i reminded them 2 wks in advance , they probably wouldn't have done anything if i had not been proactive , there was also 2 electrical issues that i didn;t find until after closing , unfinished wiring for the attic light the switch was never installed and 3 outlets would trip immediately when used , where is quality control ? How did this pass the county electrical inspector ? It took them at least 5 months to repair one of the 2 hot tubs , absolutely no excuse for that other than poor managementm , had to wait one week after closing to get the entrance gate barcode so i paid $400000 for a new villa and was not allowed to enter the community and then when i spoke with the HOA lady to finally get it she even admits that this is ridiculous that this has been that way since the beginning , every single person i met so far said the same thing happened to them ......Lennar only cares about the sale and not about the customers basic needs , they will tell you everything you want to hear until closing and then its another story ... I have purchased 7 homes in the past 31 years and this by far was the worst experience I have ever had with a builder, from the start to close. I had to postpone the closing because what they called a finish home was not what the general public would consider finished. And the even managed to screw up the closing when it came time for that process. I flew my wife in from NC just for the close and we could not and would not close based on condition of home. I would never recommenced a Lennar home to anyone and my now neighbors feel the same way. Do not purchase a Lennar home their customer service is the worst and this includes issues with their so called warranty staff after the move in. ... More

We had many discussions about the floor not being level because of flooring joist that were over cut and not supported properly. We have kitchen cabinets that don’t work and after submitting repair order they show up with no parts and say put another request in. Main bathroom above garage is not insulated. Huge temperature difference between the first floor and second. All concerns that were pointed out during construction and after with no corrective actions planned.

I could never receive an immediate answer on any issue, every reply took anywhere from 3 - 14 days. Every concern regarding the build of my home was either disregarded or denied. 3rd Party walk-through was never performed as promised. 90% of blue tape items noted as deficient were not completed and then bent over a barrel to sign-off and close or incur fees. If given a choice, I would never deal with LENNAR again, but I don't think that any other builder in this current climate would be any different or better. Things got so bad that I tried to get out of my Celebration Walk and couldn't because it was a condition of closing. Most awkward closing ever! Didn't say a word all day, had my real estate agent deal with the LENNAR staff, signed off, and then threw everybody out of my house. Would never go through this process again! Feel dismissed, frustrated, I have issues that I now have to address personally out of my pocket, and ignored. LENNAR assumes responsibility for nothing after they have your down-payment. Bad overall attitude from all construction team. Very rude and intimidating at times I felt I was about to get into a physical fight with this construction and Lennar customer service team. They were very dishonest. This is my second Lennar home and did not even compare to the great experience I received the first time.

The Sales is like buy it or leave it attitude. Orientation guy super rude, had to complain to re- schedule. Title not smooth too, waiting in the lobby for 4 hours, no one come out say a word. Until buyer go inside asking for help. Maybe I am not a rich value buyer for them, but they won’t make a penny from me in the future.

The home consultant used predatory methods to rush me into making a decision to sign a purchase agreement. He was also unprofessional with his communication and didn’t upload the information into my portal that I needed for this to be a smooth process after settlement. The construction manager has not been knowledgeable on various processes that he should have a firm grasp on. The entire process has been beyond stressful and most of the customer care reps have provided mediocre customer service that is just going through the motions and not taking the time to understand the issues. Ultimately, Lennar moved people in before the community was ready. We have suffered the consequences of a rushed project and it is quite unfortunate. There also needed to be better communication with the lending process. I recommend choosing a different brand of appliances for your next project because the number of issues we’ve had in this brand new home are astonishing. 1. Every Loan processor that was involved with our loan, whether it were a Senior Loan Processor or not, kept asking for the same documents repeatedly after they have been sent. We were emailed on 9/5/23, 9/8/23, 9/14/23, 9/15/23 to provide a copy of social security card, but we were informed by Bryan D. that the 1099 form would suffice as a form of their SSN. 2. With said loan processors, they kept insisting that there was a bank account that had belonged to me and my husband, when they actually belonged to my in-laws, even after being told countless times that it did not belong to us. 3. Loan Processor, Bryan D., was asked several times what the interest rate and monthly payments were and he had refrained from sending that specific information. I do not feel comfortable, nor do I think it is right, to have to walk into my closing appointment with absolutely no idea what my costs will be. Would anybody feel comfortable with this? Or am I just another paycheck for you all, so my interests don’t matter? 4. The incompetent communication between the New Home consultant and the Construction manager regarding the appliances being installed prior to the third party home inspection. 5. I scheduled the original NHO virtually with Kristine M., who is a part of the Homebuyer concierge, since that was an option, but at the time of the appointment, no one reached out to me to give me any FaceTime call or zoom meeting link when I tried reaching out for this information. In fact, no one confirmed the appointment with me at all. 6. My parents were with me during the second walk through on 9/19. During the third walk through, on 9/21, we were not informed Nicole C. that we could not have my parents do the walkthrough for us. My husband and I cannot take off days easily as we both work Monday-Friday from 8-5. My in laws, who are the co-signers, are out of the country. And my husband and I had taken 9/22 off for closing. Coincidentally, I could not schedule anything after 5pm due to Lennar’s schedule for their employees. I figured with our circumstance with the other two co-signers being in a different country, having my parents proxy would be alright since they went to the second walk through with me. 7. During the third walk through, everything that was discussed during the walk through from 9/19 was NOT addressed and the house was extremely dirty a DAY BEFORE closing. We requested another walk through same day at 530pm. I was informed by the New Home Consultant, Diana M. that we would be meeting with another Customer Rep Jose M. as a courtesy because he doesn’t get paid overtime. This gentleman did not show up with the walk through list and was unprepared. We were informed to be on time since this was a courtesy from Lennar, but he came unprepared..? There would not have to had been a FOURTH walk through if everything that was discussed during the SECOND walk through had been addressed appropriately. And, my parents’ time would not have been wasted. This caused the paperwork that Lennar Mortgage needed to be pushed back because we needed to wait for the builder to sign off the statement. I do not appreciate the number of walkthroughs being blamed on us because had everything been addressed, only ONE would have been needed. 8. The New Home Consultant Diana M. was not very pleasant with me on the phone when she had informed me that my father was disrespectful to the customer care representatives and stormed off during the second walk through. This was completely false information, as she wasn’t even there at the walk through, nor has he even met her. 9. On closing day, we were to do the closing remotely for the convenience of my in laws since they are in the Philippines, a different country, meaning 13+ hours ahead of us. We received the notarization linvitation link at noon, which is 1am in the Philippines. We were informed that as long as everyone signs before 4pm and funds are received, we would be able to receive the keys to the house. We’ve told Lennar Mortgage countless times that the co-signers were OUT OF THE COUNTRY and the time difference is crucial for documents that were given to us with two day deadlines. 10. There was an IT issue with the Proof Closing team. As that issue was being resolved, my husband and I made our way to Lennar title to make sure we make it on time to drop off the closing fee funds and I could do my portion of the notarizing on the way so we can make the deadline to receive the keys. 11. As I start my process with speaking to a notary Ralph W, he immediately noticed that my first name on my drivers license does not match the signed documents that were signed. The notary wanted me to reach out to the loan officer, Bryan D., to see how we would proceed with this issue. We waited several minutes before calling to ask him if he saw our text message regarding the issue. He never did. We never got to close on our house the day we were supposed to due to this department’s incompetence. 11. With three Loan Processors, Bryan D., Mel J., Christine S., two of them being Senior Loan Processors, Mel J. and Christine S., they all still missed the fact that my Drivers License and SSN card have different first names. This was not caught until our CLOSING day when it should have been caught day one. And that is to name A FEW mistakes that Lennar has made. Lennar has made my husband’s and my first time home buyer experience the worst experience we’ve ever had. There was no care, there was no compassion, and there was no initiative to help when we needed it most. When it comes to something that they need, they need it ASAP. But, when it comes to something that you need, everyone drags their feet and points their finger with nothing getting done. You know what, I've typed this review out a couple of times already and at this point I'm sick of talking about it, writing about, complaining about it to people that don't seem to care. I'm now stuck with a half a million dollar home and I don't trust anything in the closed walls. Just make sure you do your research, read reviews etc for Lennar. Its the build of the home itself, the subcontractors, and whoever else worked on it and tried hiding problems that I continue to find.

I went through different models and they all had white cabinets. I was told I was getting white cabinets, got gray. Was told to bad, you signed the contract. This is what you get, there are no options. Was told if I wanted a custom build, I had to go to a custom builder. I moved in and was trying to get cable hooked up, which is part of the HOA and there was a problem. I spent all day leaving messages and not once was called back. Finally at 4:30 I found someone who guided me in the right direction. Found beer cans in my cabinet while they were still building. Which explains some of the shoddy work done. When I moved in the floors were filthy, windows dirty, grout dirty, line of ants climbing up an outside wall into AC pipe. These are all things noted during the walk-through. I didn’t move in until two months after my closing, I was on a trip, and none of these things were taken care of. Cheapest appliances made. So if you want shoddy work and no choices about anything, which I was willing to live with a farmers sink, I wanted a split sink, which wall you are dictated to put your tv on, a tiny one car garage that you can’t put your golf cart and car in at the same time, which I find strange because it is a golf community, then Lennar is your builder. ...
