Very poor responses from the site foremen. Tom and Larry have e poor follow through.Very unhappy that we purchased with Lennar

I have been dealing with an open issue at my new home since we closed on 10/21/2020. I have in writing that if the front and back yard does not grow correctly, Lennar will replace. I have a huge gap in my front door, I was told the part is on back order and they will get back to me soon. its been 6 months that we have lived with a gap that you can see daylight from, 6 months. they are unfilled holes in the front of the house above the garage, the front shingles were put on with very little workmanship! I was told the excess glue and shingle would me cut off/wiped away, that never happened and its been 6 months. I asked for something simpler like help with the sprinkler system my knowledge rep never cared enough to reply. I was promised a screen sliding door for the mishaps. that never came! Poorly built home. Horrible customer service. would never buy another Lennar home

Extreme difficulty getting service requests addresses. Sometimes no response at all. We have requests from December that still haven’t been addressed. For what we paid for this home we sure expected a whole lot more from workmanship and responses to issues.

Demand to have access to every phase of construction. If you are an absentee buyer, hire a home inspector to oversee the project.

I have nothing but poor things to say about Lennar and I would tell people to NEVER purchase a Lennar home. The quality of workmanship and Material is below grade the house is way overpriced for the quality and products used in the home. There is zero trustworthiness, they have the worst sales people and construction people and they don't respond at all to any issues during the building process. They deserve much less than a 1.

We were promised a bigger backyard with a brick wall for our home. We originally were going to purchase a different lot that was cheaper, but were offered our current home because the backyard was bigger. Of course, you would have to pay a bit more for a bigger lot. Come one week before closing, right during our walk through, they told us that our backyard would have a slope fence. Imagine our perplexed face when they literally told us this one week before closing. They still had the nerve to tell us, you can still back out on the house if you are not satisfied. Okay lady, yea let me just live in the streets while I find another home. Had this been mentioned months earlier, we would at least actually have a realistic opportunity to back out on the purchase. We were very adamant about having our backyard that we paid more for done correctly. But no, they completely ignored our request. Very dishonest and untrustworthy, sneaky people. So now our backyard’s width has 3 feet of unusable space. That may seem little, but when you already have a ridiculously small back yard, 3 feet makes a huge difference. The cherry on the top of all of this was during our one month walk through. The lady apparently thought it would appropriate to say “So has the backyard grown on you?” Who does that?! Walls are off centered, basebroad are crooked, bad craftmanship all across the broad, all they want is your money; no one took the time out to make sure that the house structure is centered properly. It is a pain the be dealing with: toilets weren't flushing properly, dry lawn, spiders, ants, and bugs all over your home. cracked bathroom mirror, chipped bathroom tub, chipped appliances, long grooved on window, etc. It is a pain living in our new home and dealing with all these issues so early; no one takes the blames.....

While I love the neighborhood specifically it’s proximity to Jet Blue Park( home of the Boston Red Sox spring training) the quality of work and materials used is extremely poor and defective and has not been corrected!

Quality of workmanship is horrible. Materials used are cheap and very low quality. Every issue I have brought to their attention to be fixed has been answered with a response of " that's just how it is" or "there's nothing we can do about that now" or "if we fix it, it could create even more problems or make it worse". Would not recommend Lennar as a builder to anyone.

This is our 3rd home we have built. 1st Richmond American, 2nd Standard Pacific and 3rd Lennar. From the purchase process to construction to workmanship to customer service we have had a horrible experience with Lennar. We thought we knew what we were getting into having built homes before but this was by far the worst all around.

Sales was great at making everything seem perfect. But the house we got had unpainted surfaces, bad craftsmanship, and cheap carpeting that’s falling apart. I would be wary of using Lennar again

I regret buying with Lennar every single day. Materials used for construction are extremely cheap. Customer service and guarantee suck: stay away from this company

If I could do this all over again I would definitely go with a different builder. The home that me and my wife purchased was very cheaply built. I waisted my VA home loan and I wouldn't recommend anybody to buy a home from them. They use cheap contractors to build and fix things so you pretty much get way less than what you pay for. I've been complaining about different issues shortly after moving in.

Poor construction lack of communication and no care towards the client

Horrible experience with Lenner, Very cheap materials, cheap appliances cheap items installed, I am regretting buying Lenner home. Very bad experience never recommend to anyone buying Lenner homes. In any condition my home is not looking that I have paid over 530k house. Billy was good

I have had a horrible experience! The worst ever. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Within 3 months of owning home I have had 2 water leaks. One was my roof on a 5 month old home! I hate this home can’t wait to get out of it.

We got upgraded package and we were told something different than what we got ... material used very cheap...they just want to finish there work and close our house so they get money...after we did our closing we asked few things to get it fixed and they said ohhh we can't fix it now because in order to fix this issues we have to take entire stuff out and go it which is not possible...

Lennar is very slow to fix issues after your home has been sold. Nearly 6 months after closing we are still waiting for issues from the punch list to be fixed. Also, it seems that fixes require multiple visits because the people they are sending for repairs are not competent. The latest news from them is that their warranty department is closed for repairs, even outside ones. So they can keep the building and selling part of the business open for making money, but will keep the warranty end of the business closed at this time.

Although this should have been one of the most exciting times in our lives....it was ABSOLUTELY the worst. If you buy a Lennar home be prepared for whole bunch of promises on the front end (before you sign) and be prepared after you sign to fight with Lennar over EVERY single issue that you have. (The warranty) Also, they switch up the rules for what they promised in order to meet THEIR needs and not YOURS!!! No one wants to take responsibility and they like to pay pass the buck. I strongly recommend getting a home inspection before the drywall goes up... it might save a lot of mental stress on your end. Also, document EVERYTHING!! ……….. I do LOVE the neighborhood I live in.... but buyer beware. ... More

There is still things that aren’t been Finish my Dishwasher and the grass

Our home was built in a guinea pig of semi-custom home neighborhood at a luxury price point. The Lennar project managers and subcontractors do not understand how to complete a home of this nature that isn't their traditional entry level home offer with only A, B or C options. The timeline was well beyond what we were promised, the sub-contractors created so much havoc that Lennar had over 200+ items to fix at close, and fortunately, we did not use the Lennar financing team, so we were able to not be forced to close with 200+ issues wrong with our home. We had them fix the majority before we closed, and about 30 issues remained, and these took two months to fix beyond close only because I called and emailed relentlessly, and managed the sub-contractors myself in order to get everything done. Be prepared if you don't buy an entry level home that you will have a second full time job managing their project managers and subcontractors to get the home to the point where it can be inhabited and get what you paid for from them. If you are looking for luxury, semi-custom, do not look here until they fundamentally change the way they go to market and revamp their entire team. ... More

From the beginning of building our home to this day, I have had issues with building my home. It started with not being able to upgrade our kitchen, even though I was the first person to pick a lot in the new phase. I later find out that others were able to pick the upgraded kitchen. I then had a home inspector check on the home before drywall and found 30 plus items that needed to be addressed, which major items were not addressed at the time when it was easier for everyone, but later when drywall was already installed. I closed on the home and was unable to enter the home due to keys not working. The grass in my backyard needs to be replaced due to the condition and it should be St Augustine grass like my neighbors, but Lennar put cheaper grass. I then find a leak in one of the bathrooms that leaked to the master bedroom and master closet. I still have multiple issues with the tiles in the bathrooms, painting, walls throughout the house, cabinets in the kitchen, floors upstairs that are uneven, exterior wall damage from the water leak, driveway that needs to be redone due to damage prior to moving in, garage door needs to be painted, electrical issues with outlets, grout issues in the bathrooms, and many more other things. So will I finally be contacted about these issues that I have addressed with Lennar? ... More

If I could do this all over again and the house was Free I wouldn’t go Lennar!!! Save yourself the headache! Please go with another builder. I could write a book with how many things went wrong from the loan process to now . I bought my home nov 2019 and I still cannot use my master bedroom because of poor worksmanship DO NOT BUY LENNAR ! Truthfully they don’t even deserve one star.
