Waist of my VA home loan

If I could do this all over again I would definitely go with a different builder. The home that me and my wife purchased was very cheaply built. I waisted my VA home loan and I wouldn't recommend anybody to buy a home from them. They use cheap contractors to build and fix things so you pretty much get way less than what you pay for. I've been complaining about different issues shortly after moving in.

Horrible experience with Lenner, Very cheap materials, cheap appliances cheap items installed, I am regretting buying Lenner home. Very bad experience never recommend to anyone buying Lenner homes. In any condition my home is not looking that I have paid over 530k house. Billy was good

I have had a horrible experience! The worst ever. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Within 3 months of owning home I have had 2 water leaks. One was my roof on a 5 month old home! I hate this home can’t wait to get out of it.

We got upgraded package and we were told something different than what we got ... material used very cheap...they just want to finish there work and close our house so they get money...after we did our closing we asked few things to get it fixed and they said ohhh we can't fix it now because in order to fix this issues we have to take entire stuff out and go it which is not possible...

Ongoing Problems

Lennar is very slow to fix issues after your home has been sold. Nearly 6 months after closing we are still waiting for issues from the punch list to be fixed. Also, it seems that fixes require multiple visits because the people they are sending for repairs are not competent. The latest news from them is that their warranty department is closed for repairs, even outside ones. So they can keep the building and selling part of the business open for making money, but will keep the warranty end of the business closed at this time.

Worst buying home experience EVER!!!

Although this should have been one of the most exciting times in our lives....it was ABSOLUTELY the worst. If you buy a Lennar home be prepared for whole bunch of promises on the front end (before you sign) and be prepared after you sign to fight with Lennar over EVERY single issue that you have. (The warranty) Also, they switch up the rules for what they promised in order to meet THEIR needs and not YOURS!!! No one wants to take responsibility and they like to pay pass the buck. I strongly recommend getting a home inspection before the drywall goes up... it might save a lot of mental ...

Lennar is not ready to be a semi-custom builder

Our home was built in a guinea pig of semi-custom home neighborhood at a luxury price point. The Lennar project managers and subcontractors do not understand how to complete a home of this nature that isn't their traditional entry level home offer with only A, B or C options. The timeline was well beyond what we were promised, the sub-contractors created so much havoc that Lennar had over 200+ items to fix at close, and fortunately, we did not use the Lennar financing team, so we were able to not be forced to close with 200+ issues wrong with our home. From the beginning of building our home to this day, I have had issues with building my home. It started with not being able to upgrade our kitchen, even though I was the first person to pick a lot in the new phase. I later find out that others were able to pick the upgraded kitchen. I then had a home inspector check on the home before drywall and found 30 plus items that needed to be addressed, which major items were not addressed at the time when it was easier for everyone, but later when drywall was already installed. If I could do this all over again and the house was Free I wouldn’t go Lennar!!! Save yourself the headache! Please go with another builder. I could write a book with how many things went wrong from the loan process to now . I bought my home nov 2019 and I still cannot use my master bedroom because of poor worksmanship DO NOT BUY LENNAR ! Truthfully they don’t even deserve one star.

Defective lights, 2 missed appointments & an untethered toilet after 90 days in our new home

Your survey arrived a little before ‪4:30‬ this morning, and shortly AFTER the Lennar contracted cement crew working on the lots behind our house. They were here ‪at 4:20 am‬. I know these are extraordinary times we are living in, however, I don’t believe those circumstances warrant a pre-dawn work site start with loud equipment and lights shining into our home. Nor does it excuse the complete lack of follow-up communication from Lennar regarding our ongoing defective lighting, untethered toilet, & two missed appointments to correct our warranty issues. We found the quality of craftsmanship is marginal to say the least. Repair projects are still not completed after almost five months. As an example the holes in our outside gable were patched months later an now appears to be coming undone and we are still not able to use our two bathtubs due to improper installation. Lennar’s communication process needs to be restructured to reflect vast improvements.

My house was not move in ready

My house has had 3 plumbing issues in 3 months. They've had to rip walls down, take out the floors and appliance, and repaint. I lost work time, my family and friends had to take time while all this work was done. Let's just say Lennar does not keep good on their promises. This was also my first home buying experience and it has been awful.

Siding not finished on house. Decking done incorrectly with wrong materials. Gray hole filler used on dark brown cabinets, looks like paint spatters. Grading on lot buried construction debris such as nails, wood & metal scrap, etc. No warning when tradesmen would show up AFTER move in Surprise! Material used on back porch were not what was sold to us nor per plans submitted. Cracks and nail pops never fixed. Touch-up on paint not done. Repeated attempts to resolve deck and siding issues gone unanswered. Grading not done to code 3:1, Hit house numerous times with large machinery. ...

subcontractor and superintendent have come out to fix thing and just make thing worse. My Husband and I have been in the construction industry for many years and this is the worst customer service. maybe you should have the subcontractor and superintendent who built the model build the rest of the development very disappointing.

My previous review was removed by the site owner and it didn't even provide specific detail. If you'd like a first time quality (not 4th time quality) and a well built home, look for another builder. I would never buy from Lennar again nor recommend them to anyone.
