Smooth process

I closed on the property 11/30/2019 but did not move in until 03/21/2020. I had heard from owners who had moved in before me that the quality of the water was awful. It smelled like rotten eggs. I expected this issue to be resolved by the time I moved in but it hasn't and I have to boil my water before I can use it. There are more issues but I don't have enough space to continue.

This new home is a great value for the cost. The personnel involved in our purchase and those who are on call to repair and resolve issues are all patient, kind, and highly competent. We are thankful for such a great experience in purchasing our first home!

I was pleased with the personal attention I received from such a huge builder. Just like ANY new home there were small things that needed attention. Every single thing I asked for was done. They don't just sell you a house and disappear. I felt like my Knowledge rep truly cared that I was happy. Over all, my home buying experience with Lennar was great.

A lot of patch work around the house that we are just now noticing. Paint job was definitely subpar. Wood floors have so many chips in different corners. There is cement on my grass from when they did the back porch. Patch job around the ceiling fan outlet caps. Let’s just say there are a lot of signs that the home was made in a rush. Really annoying but improvements in terms of workmanship are needed

Bad stucco craftsmanship; repeated corrections and still looks bad. Customer service is excellent but sub contractor lacks commitment to quality.

Very happy about my home

I was in the building business for 12 years. I was a builder for David Weekley Homes and quite frankly wanted nothing to do with the process. Lennar honored my wishes and made the process easy.

Wishing that I hadn’t bought here. Extremely disappointed with the workmanship.

This is a great starter home for me and I was delivered what i expected. The home construction could be a little better as i faced issues in my first week at my new home but i was really impressed with the service as they were able to get it fixed pretty soon. I would definitely recommend Lennar to any new home buyers.

By far the worst buying experience we have ever had... We were initially excited to buy a home from Lennar. That excitement quickly faded after it became clear that Lennar's priority was to close on our home regardless of the countless examples of poor workmanship. From the sales office to senior leadership, everyone involved in our home buying process made it clear that meeting Lennar's sales quotas were more important than upholding any standard of quality, honesty or integrity. Will never buy from Lennar again.

We signed our contract for a new home in 2/2019 and were told that we could expect closing to take place sometime around mid-November. When we received an email that our closing date had been pushed up to 10/1 we were thrilled. However in walking it privately we found several items that were incomplete, so we documented them with photographs and sent the information to our sales rep; upon review the closing was pushed back to 10/15, understandably. We had our NHO (New Home Orientation) on 10/14 and there were issues notated on the form with the customer service coordinator, the most serious of which was that there was a sort of expoxy/glue strewn on the vast majority of the walls and carpet on the 2nd floor. With everything notated on the form, we opted to close the next day. Huge mistake. Upon moving in we discovered there was no hot water in the house. It was barely lukewarm, but not at all hot. The pluming contractor came out the following day to look at it and discovered that a line had not been connected properly in the water heater. The plumbers had to saw holes out of the foyer, the closet, and in the bathroom to look for the line. Mind you this is a brand new home. After sawing the holes out they determined they would have to drill approximately 3’ into the concrete in the garage floor and through the foundation of the home. After 3 straight days of drilling and not finding the buried line, they were able to connect what they needed. After that, however, our issues continued to mount: Getting all of the incomplete items addressed was near impossible. We had to call the construction manager daily to get answers and were always promised a date for a contractor to come to deal with the paint issue, or the drywall issue, etc ..... however repeatedly no contractor showed for the “appointment.” During this time Lennar went through several construction managers but finally I was able to speak with a district supervisor who was helpful in getting the vast majority of the issues resolved. We are still awaiting some items to be addressed, and we are now 6 months past closing. I would never, ever recommend Lennar as a builder based on our experience in building our new home. ... More

I can’t believe you have the audacity to ask me to review my experience when we closed the home 4 months ago and my property still NOT done. Starting from our New Home Orientation the house was barely put together without appliances, forcing us to close because your fiscal year was due un November, not caring about the buyer experience whatsoever, to constantly argue with the incompetent staff for the things we already paid for and them arranging contractors to come to our property without consulting with us, having to lost weeks of work just waiting for someone to show up. I still have missing doors, undone exterior, the temporary cheapest appliances, and many other things we literally had to pull teeth to get them fixed without the need because We thought you guys were the “#1 builder” in America. ... This has been one of the worst home-buying experiences In which I have ever participated. Terrible, sub-par workmanship from especially the woodworkers, painters, And cabinet maker/installer.

I have purchased Lennar Homes in the past (Cal-Atlantic/Ryland Homes) by far this was the worst home buying experience. If it wasn't for the lot size and location, I should have gone with one of the other builders in the neighborhood (Stanley Martin or Providence Homes). The sales experience was terrible both salespeople were not on the same page and took a long time to get a response back. As far as the builder and follow up person they were great and overworked because they had a lot of building going on, but when I was able to speak with them they were able to respond to my questions. My opinion is Lennar has gotten too big and forgotten to focus on customer service and details. ... More
