Buying prices was completely chaotic. Would not do that again. House itself has unsolved basement flooding and Customer Care person will not return my calls. Extremely frustrated with Lennar overall.

While we understand that there may be issues with any new build, this experience has been utterly frustrating and exhausting. Quality of materials is poor, quality of workmanship is non-existent! There was more paint on the floors than on the walls, the grout work was messy at best, greasy foot print on the carpet, faucets are cheap and starting to break and we've only been here 1 month. Still blue tape left all over the house from the 2 walk through sessions. Very few items have been fixed adequately. We need to re-caulk all the bathrooms because they were not done correctly. The windows are poor quality. The appliances were not installed correctly and we now have to deal with Frigidaire instead of the builder correcting the issues. Overall a very disappointing home! We have a storm drain directly behind our back yard, which is constantly filled with construction debris and, therefore, does NOT drain. We have a lake (or skating rink at the moment) in our backyard. We have addressed this issue with the builder, but nothing is corrected. We are going to have to spend thousands to make this home livable and viable for longer than a year. ... More

True value for money, nice people to work with

Quality and craftsmanship are lacking at best. Responsiveness is inadequate and the HVAC system design has failed in all the carriage homes where I've been able to ask the neighbors. I've been waiting for weeks for a response on a ticket about my leaking water heater. My recommendation to someone who was driving by and asked, was to stay away. In addition, we've been icebound for 2 days because our street hasn't been plowed even once following the snowstorm. Feel free to call me.

I had to backout before closing due to medical emergency costing lots of money and requiring me to keep emergency funds. I understand it was a contract but 6000$ earnest money is a big amount that I had to lose. Lennar sold that home to someone else fairly quickly. Lennar gave me option to use that earnest money within 6 months but not sure if I will be buying home from lennar again.

I had a pleasant experience. All good up until the promised return of my deposit wasn't going to happen. I made a big deal of it, because it was promised and the day before my closing they said it wasn't going to be that amount. In their defense, when I made a fuss, they were able to fix the numbers and give me back what I was promised but not without stress and worry on the eve of my closing which pushed back my closing a few hours. I also found out the at the time I was in there initially they offered a golf cart to another home owner as a perk and not to me. I wonder why that is?

quality materials is very low quality

We were pleased with the whole closing process - nothing too difficult. As we were moving in, little things needed attention. Refrigerator water line was not hooked up. After a few days, it was taken care of. The dishwasher rinse box was cracked and needed to be replaced. That was taken care of within a few days after the second repairman took care of it. Our first week here, we inquired about garbage cans and recycling bins. That still has not been resolved 3 weeks after asking for help. Our garage door opener was dangling. That was repaired within a day or two. We never received our HOA coupon/payment books, or any mail for that matter, and found out we were late with HOA payments and were charged late fees. Still don't know where the coupon books are. Four different apps for making payments is a bit much, but I'm sure we'll manage. Had a tough time getting ceiling fans installed and working with the light switches. We still have painter's tape on the master bathroom door - touch ups were not done yet even though it was reported a week or two ago. Lastly, our Internet is not set up yet. That should be taken care of this week. We are hoping to be living there by next weekend, but in my opinion, most of these things should have been done prior to us trying to move in. The follow - through with some of the office workers isn't very good. I'm sure, with this community in its early stages of development, there are many issues that need to be taken care of. Quality of build is not high end quickly built. The overall responsiveness to issues with the house was good to repair things.

Had the worst experience ever with the sales agent. Left multiple messages with several different offices to have a manager call me no one ever called me back. I would not recommend Lennar homes to anyone. I have never given any builder or any business a bad review this is the first time.

Still awaiting follow ups

We purchased following a short sale process. Everything was done exactly in 28 days as they initially said. Every night we were required to submit paperwork and was very stressful. Hopefully we had personnel that was just a text away. Usually they answered very quickly. The app was easy to use and convenient to submit requested info and scanned docs. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Recommended.

Throughout my buying process, Lennar made me feel comfortable and showed great professionalism

Our purchase was a very smooth process. Lauren our representative was wonderful.

1. Did not like revealing that we need to cough up 20% way before closing instead of just usuall deposit and closing was delayed multiple times. Cost us major financial hardship due to the 20% insistance. 2. Hushed up fist and final inspection, They did not address legit yard issues as they know we have paid 20% down. Barriers to 3rd party inspection. House unclean not even builder level clean. Multiple closing dates and workers still doing bath tile works hours before closing. Rescheduled to hour before closing and cleaners doing cleaning while we had a hush hush inspection. TOTALLY unsatisfied Overall: Sales: V GOOD Mortgage: They dont care as we are locked in. We have to be proactive to handle our interests and they will respond w bare bones info. Overall OK Delivery of home: WORST Quality of home: OK Post Sales Support: Between GOOD & V. GOOD so far, but still have an year to go so crossing fingers ... More

Our contact at Lennar has been nothing but fantastic. Would work with him or recommend him to anyone. New build home was built on time without any obvious delays from our perspective either. The final product has many finishing touch problems. Some are bigger problems than others: two lights have zero associated switches, hole in a wall, missing closet door, crack in another closet door with an arrow pointing to it (so it was known), paint on the floor EVERYWHERE. Hand prints on fresh paint, scuffed walls, etc. We were given an incorrect code to get in and no keys either. Little things, but still not hard to notice or correct before handing off. Time will tell if these punch list items get corrected or not -- its a big company so we remain hopeful. People are 10/10. They just need a little QC at the end to avoid pointless fumbles. ... More

I am happy to purchase a new Lennar Home. While the process was exciting, negotiations involved different people with different understanding of the options. Also, not all our questions were answered timely. But I love my new home...

People from sales to walk -throughs were very nice. Within 1 month we’re seeing finishing work that is disappointing such as multiple caulking cracks that was used to fill in gaps around moldings in kitchen, bathrooms, up stairway, windows, around floors & doors. We saw some at pre walk- through that I guess fresh application of the same stuff was used; We’re making a list for our 1 year but will not want a repeat application that will end up the same. Bedroom carpet feels like no padding was used. Garage & storage room drywall taping & finishing job: - we’ve spent thousands & days of work making it look presentable. Selling disclosure has a “ yes” issue w/ no explanation in comments that we can’t get resolved for our records. ... More

Our experience with Lennar was okay overall, but there were some major gaps that were surprising for a company of this size. One of the biggest frustrations was not knowing what our home would look like during the building process. We weren’t shown exterior colors, finishes, or interior design details ahead of time. We literally had to drive by the house while it was being built to see what was happening. In 2025, I would expect 3D models, renderings, or at least photos of similar homes to help buyers visualize their investment. For a company as large as Lennar, this should be standard. We also didn’t know what the interior finishes would be until much later, which made the process feel uncertain and stressful. When you’re spending $400,000+ on a home, transparency matters. Another disappointment was the quality of the appliances. For the price point, they were underwhelming and honestly felt cheap. It comes across as Lennar cutting corners and getting greedy, which is frustrating for buyers making such a major purchase. That said, the local team we worked with was great. Everyone we personally interacted with was kind, responsive, and easy to work with. The only exception was the neighborhood “seller.” We never met him in person, and he never showed us what our home would look like, which added to the lack of communication. Overall, we like our home and had a decent experience, but Lennar really needs to improve transparency, communication, and quality for the price they charge.
