We purchased a brand new house not a fixer?

We purchased a brand new house not a fixer Right? We only purchased from Lennar because of the lot. Our house sits on hole 3 at Copper River Golf Course. Before we moved into our home we noticed water coming up the grout of the tile in the living and kitchen. 5 months later the problem is still not fixed and Lennar is totally dragging their feet fixing the issue. We will have to move out until our new home if fixed! Purchasing a new home should have been a great experience....it was just the opposite.

If you are going to purchase a Lennar home be sure you can be onsite everyday looking at the construction being done. The workmanship was not good on our house and we will be putting in rework tickets the entire year during our warranty period. You also need to do a thorough walk through before you accept the house and pack your patience for closing; just plan on a three hour ordeal. Good luck!

The townhome is not level, the trim work and cabinets are all crooked. There was holes in the subflooring they just put carpet over and never thought we would find. Our backsplash was cracked and they didn’t want to fix. They installed the wrong size island counter top, wrong kitchen sink, wrong facets in every bathroom, wrong shower heads in every shower, and wrong door handles on all the exterior doors. My home wasn’t ready prior to close. They had approximately 30 items on the checklist that needed to be addressed and corrected prior to close. I already sold my other home and needed to move. I had movers lined up to do so after I closed on my Lennar home. They asked me to close even know they were not close to complete and asked me for 3 additional days to finish the items we agreed to that were on my list to close. Terrible quality and refusal to address issues. Construction manager is unorganized and dishonest. Closing never takes place on time; unnecessary delays due to poor management. Builder cuts corners and tries to force you to accept poor quality work. Would never recommend Lennar. Neighborhood is nice with great people, but the build was not a good experience.

Lennar builds homes fast. But without quality workmanship. Each home is u set intense pressure to build so fast lots of shortcuts and sloppy workmanship is the norm. Months after closing we are finding things that were covered up so they would close on time especially areas outside the house, like a drainage pipe covered over with sod so we had a flood. or on top of the house where vents were installed without covers and we had a leak. The fact that at closing the take $750 for future improvements does not go into the reserves to fix future hoa issues, it is pocketed by lennar. our ...

Massive construction issues

I closed on my $750k home back in February. This experience has been nothing but a nightmare. I have major construction issues...including mold! How do you have mold in a brand new build?! I’m still living out of boxes and can’t even unpack or begin to enjoy my new home. Has been the worst experience ever!

Poor craftsmanship and pride

This is my first home and i must say i am disappointed in the quality of the craftsmanship. I've been in constant contact with Lennar customer service to attempt to set up repair services to fix multiple issues within my new home. Before closing i had to have the roof redone because it was not done correctly the first time. Over all i am not impressed with the quality of the work.

The issues with my front and back yard grass are not being taken seriously. I was told anything wrong pertaining to the grass would be replaced, now I’m being told I have to wait an entire year before it can be replaced.

Big Builder Only Cares About The Money

The construction team is a joke! They do not care about any of your concerns throughout the entire building process. It is only a matter of time before the economy catches up with the condescending attitude of everyone in upper management with Lennar. We pointed out basic failures in construction standards from warped boards in framing through unacceptable drywall finishes all the way to the day of closing. workmanship and materials are the worst

Everyone has been helpful however the grout in EVERY room is crumbling away and needs to be redone with a better product which is not covered on the warranty. My counter top is sagging and falling apart, I'm afraid to put anything on it. Like I said, everyone I dealt with to buy the house was great, but everything they used to build the house with is cheap and makes me feel like I over paid!

I have had issues, that I can’t get the correct help from the get go.

Issues with water bill, from excessive water use from the sprinklers. I was told the day of the original walk-thru orientation that the water will be turned down b4 my move in, it wasn’t. I have spoken to several members of the staff on the property and I can never get a straight answer. It don’t help being a disabled veteran on a set income to get stuck paying an additional $300 water bill.

Very poor and shoddy work. They forgot to add gas line in patio and did that the day of closing in a haphazard manner and not the way it was in the agreed plan. The dug the backyard and were not willing to reimburse anything. The fans started making noise the week after and they are not willing to fix or replace them. Their whole customer service is a charade and they try not to fix anything.
