Found our forever home that checked all of the boxes for us. After we moved in, we found even more things to love about the house and the community. Great design and workmanship.

The landscape around that connects to our land should have had an immediate plan it has been left messy, muddy, and not so nice.

From purchase to closing, and everything in between, Lennar makes it easy. Their process is super efficient. They have thought of everything so you don't have to. Every piece of information that you need is readily available. Here is the most important thing, and they have this nailed. Whenever you have a question, their employees respond immediately. There is no waiting and wondering when someone will get back to you. This must be a main focus around service at Lennar, and that is what I truly appreciate!

Like I said before, the house is very nice home Lennar Home by an experience it's very great, but there was a lot of paint spots and glue on our ground or floor. We asked for it to be clean and it was not a lot of the wood trim inside the house looks like it was just used trim and they just stuck it up on the wall couple spots in the ceiling where the paint is cracking. All this was supposed to be addressed and it was not.

Move in process was good but they were rushing and didn't communicate well so house wasn't fully cleaned upon move in. Few wall angles are not cut properly (should be 90 degree angle but more like 70, not correct), small things like door knobs not tightened, doors not shutting properly. Front yard tree was completely dead upon move in after promises of we keep everything green alive until closing date. Grading of back yard was way off and caused flooding of backyard, porch and dining room at first rain, they fixed with warranty but used cheap dead sod infested with flies and gnats that then took over my house to replace what they tore up to re-grade lawn. Had to spend hundreds of $ to get sod to grow and ***** bugs both inside and outside my house. Window also leaked into house at first rain. Warranty also fixed that. Builder himself was great to work with but the warranty guys don't communicate and when they do they say they'll show up at a certain time then don't show up at all until days later and unannounced. There's a lot that could be easily remedied to provide better service and quality to buyers. Cheapest labor and material provided it seems. Guess you get what you pay for? Except I paid a lot of $ for this house and none of these things should've been an issue if the quality of workmanship had been checked and not rushed through to get a check mark that it's complete. Overall - 6/10. Much room for improvement if only company wasn't interested in just making the most money off people. Not sure I would recommend the or but from Lennar again. We were initially not going to respond to this email because we did not want to say anything negative about anyone. However, after receiving your second request, we decided it was important to share our experience honestly and respectfully. We will start with the positive aspects of our experience. We found the financial portion of the process to be relatively easy, largely because we were cash buyers and therefore did not have the stress of qualifying for financing or dealing with financing-related issues. That part of the process was smooth. We also love the layout of our home and are very happy to have a beautiful lake *****. Having said that, we have experienced several significant issues that have left us very disappointed with the overall customer service and post-sale experience. First, we were surprised by the lack of professionalism displayed by some of the employees. Our sales representative made it very clear that she did not want to be contacted after we signed the purchase contract. At one point, our concierge contacted her with a question because she did not know the answer. The sales representative subsequently called us and spoke to us in an extremely aggressive and inappropriate manner, making it clear that she did not want to be contacted, particularly because she was preparing to leave for vacation. I explained that we had not contacted her directly and that the concierge had reached out because she did not have the information needed to answer our question. I have never been spoken to in that manner by someone assisting with the purchase of a home, and I ultimately chose not to continue the conversation with her. Second, we were very disappointed to discover that our new appliances had been used by construction workers during the building process. When we conducted our walkthrough, we found that the refrigerator and microwave were dirty, and there were food and drinks left inside the refrigerator. We purchased a new home and expected our appliances to be new and unused. Instead, our home had apparently been used as a break room during construction. We found this extremely disappointing and were left wondering how else our home may have been used during construction. Third, we experienced a significant problem with the washing machine installation that resulted in water damage. When the washing machine was installed, the water hose was not properly attached. When we ran our first load of laundry, water spilled throughout the laundry room and into the attached bedroom and bathroom. The carpet was completely soaked. Trying to get someone to come out and address the problem was extremely frustrating. Initially, we received no response. When someone finally came out, the carpet was pulled up and fans were placed to dry the area. However, when the carpet was put back down, it was not properly stretched and secured, leaving visible gaps between the baseboards and the carpet. We immediately reported the problem, but our concerns were not addressed. To this day, the carpet has still not been properly repaired. This unresolved issue has also resulted in an infestation of pincher bugs entering the room through the areas around the improperly secured carpet. Despite reporting this problem to the builder team, we have still not received an adequate response or resolution. We have also raised concerns regarding the tree planted in our front yard. We were informed that the tree planted there has invasive root characteristics and should be replaced. We brought this concern to the builder team's attention, but to date, we have not received a response or resolution regarding the tree. Another unresolved issue is paint splatter on the bedroom carpets. We reported this to the builder team as well, but again, we have not received a response or had the issue addressed. We understand that there can be issues and imperfections when purchasing a newly constructed home. What we did not expect was to have legitimate concerns repeatedly reported and then receive little or no follow-up from the builder team. The most frustrating part of this experience has not simply been the problems themselves, but the difficulty in getting anyone to take responsibility for addressing them. We purchased a new home with the expectation that construction-related issues would be handled professionally and promptly. Instead, trying to get these problems resolved has been stressful, frustrating, and extremely disappointing. Based on our experience, I do not believe I would ever purchase another Lennar home. More importantly, I would not feel comfortable recommending Lennar to someone else in good conscience. The home itself has many qualities that we love, but the lack of professionalism, communication, and follow-through after the sale has significantly diminished our overall experience. ... More

Not only were we treated like family throughout our buying process, it was so nice and comforting that Lennar literally has everything covered when buying a home with them. We are beyond grateful and happy that we chose Lennar and have zero regrets .

The response for issues has been very well as far as my experience. There has not been anything major; just minor Knicks n things so im ok with that. With there was more transparency on warranty issues; i.e what's covered and what's not - nothing extensive but an overview. There does need to be an update on the welcome home packet that is given put to homeowners. Alot of the issues, concerns and appliances within the packet did not apply to me at all; makes it feel like no real effort was put into anything. Alot of small things here and there and I hate to be that person that complains about those things but these are brand new homes, so the quality of the workmanship needs to be at a much higher standard. Home buying isn't cheap and you want your money's worth. With that being said....use the home warranty given while you have it! Im grateful its there ... More

We recently purchased a new Lennar home in Macanta in Castle Rock, and overall there are definitely things we really like about our new home and the community. We love the area, and so far we really like the neighborhood. I also want to specifically recognize Pete in Sales. Pete was awesome from beginning to end. He was extremely communicative, responsive, helpful, and did everything he could to make the process go smoothly. Anytime we needed something or had a question, Pete was there. Lennar got it absolutely right with him. That said, there are several areas where I feel Lennar is jumping over dimes to save pennies, especially on a home selling for more than $800,000. There are a number of things that would have made a significant difference in the finished product without adding a tremendous amount of cost. For example, 24-inch-on-center framing instead of 18-inch, a very large primary shower with only one seat despite having two shower heads, no fireplace mantel, an extremely tight primary toilet area, no kitchen backsplash, and no cabinet hardware. The shower in particular could have been a real showpiece for what I would imagine would have been another $500–$1,000. A mantel over the fireplace would also have been a relatively inexpensive addition that would have made a huge visual impact. I understand builders have to control costs, but on an $800,000+ home, I believe another $10,000–$20,000 spent in the right places could dramatically improve the feel, finish, and overall value of the home. My biggest disappointment, however, was the condition of the property at delivery. The backyard is not landscaped, which we understood, but it was delivered with weeds everywhere. There were also paint splatters left on the floors and other details that simply felt unfinished and sloppy. The best comparison I can make is this: imagine buying a brand-new $40,000, $80,000, or $100,000 vehicle that had been sitting on a dealer's lot for months. You negotiate a great deal, sign all the paperwork, and then walk outside to take delivery—only to find the vehicle still covered in dust and bird droppings. Would that be acceptable? Now imagine spending more than $800,000 on a home. Regardless of the price paid or whether the home had been sitting, the delivery should still feel like you're receiving a brand-new home. It should be clean, finished, and presented with some pride. To be fair, we were out of town for the final walkthrough, so our real estate agent and brother-in-law handled it for us. But I also don't believe the entire responsibility should fall on the buyer to identify every paint splatter, weed, cleanup issue, or unfinished detail. Lennar should have a stronger internal quality-control process before a home is turned over to its new owners. That is probably my biggest takeaway: the process needs better final quality control and attention to detail. We really do love the location and are excited about living in Macanta. I think Lennar builds a home with a lot of potential, but some relatively inexpensive improvements and a much stronger final-delivery process would make a huge difference in the customer experience. And again, I want to end where I started: Pete was fantastic. He represented Lennar extremely well, communicated with us throughout the process, and did everything he could to make our experience a positive one. He deserves a lot of credit. Massive side wall of house only has 1 window per floor. Double vanity needed for 4 bathroom floor.

Real Estate agent was very friendly and kind. There needs to be better communication for getting issues resolved in the house. They give you a speed rundown of what's what, but never follow up to see if everything is as great as the product they believe the put out. I've go a few electrical issues in our kitchen, but have no clue how to get them resolved.

Need to address dead palm trees and dead lawns Very, very disappointing

Love our home, and the experience of buying was so-so. Lennar never dropped the ball on anything major, but there were often lapses and delays in communication around things like dates and documents. I certainly don't regret buying from Lennar, but I do think the communication between the Building Manager, *****, and sales team should be improved. For instance, on the morning of our closing, the building manager was not aware that the closing was happening and didn't have the home unlocked/ready until we called about it. A minor inconvenience, but that's just one example contributing to the general sense of feeling forgotten about until being the squeaky wheel. ... More

The home build quality is mostly good. Done of the design aspects are substandard and poor esthetic. Too many uncomfortable dusty gritty DG pathways with no concrete alternatives along critical paths. Sidewalk crumbling at some spots. Overgrown weeds blocking sidewalks. No garbage bins and bag stations for owners, unlike other builder communities I've occupied.

The sales team lacks communication and specific details regarding different loan types for spec build and traditional new construction. They get real pissy when SME'S in ***** are representing customers.

The only option to voice my opinion. So many things in my home that are just thrown together, chalking is a mess, ceiling in laundry room STILL not painted under the fan. This flooring has stains I can't get out. This home was not cleaned before I got my keys. AND now ongoing electrical issue in my garage, kitchen and living room! The CRACKS in my garage concrete are spreading and getting bigger!! The building around my house, I understand and put up with the early morning noises Mon through Sat but the music they blast is weighing thin on my patience. It's extremely loud at times. Mud all over my carpet in my bedroom because it is the only way out for my dogs. Why did you put carpet in a room that has the only access to the backyard? I FINALLY got grass, making it somewhat better but I'll be constantly shampooing my carpet in my room. The neighborhood dust, dirt and garbage that blows into my yard I'm picking up on a daily basis (paper bags, empty water bottles and so on) I'm not normally a complaining person but so much has gone south since I moved this brand new home. ... Multiple items broken, need replace, nor installed, poorly done..wouldn't buy from Lennar again. Rushed jobs

Unless you like consistently bare minimum worksmanship, questionable "tolerances", and dismissive builders

I purchased this home based on the amenities that were advertised when I was making my decision. Unfortunately, after moving in, I found out that many of those amenities are not actually within the community and require getting in a vehicle to access them. That was disappointing because the advertised amenities played a role in my decision to purchase here. I’ve also noticed some quality-control issues inside the home. There is visibly an area where a hole in the wall appears to have been patched, but the repair was poorly done and is noticeable. The paint also seems fairly inexpensive, and unlike other new construction homes I’ve experienced, there was no leftover paint provided on-site for future touch-ups. I also had an issue when trying to submit a service request and initially felt like I was getting the runaround before getting assistance. Overall, I am pleased with my home and the purchase itself, but looking back, I probably would have done more research and compared other communities more closely before making my decision. One of my biggest concerns is the HOA fees. We are paying more than what I’ve seen in *****, yet our community offers fewer amenities. When you’re paying those kinds of fees, you expect the amenities and overall value to justify the cost. This is not meant to discourage anyone from purchasing here, but rather to encourage prospective buyers to do their research, visit the amenities themselves, compare HOA fees, and make sure they fully understand what is and isn’t actually included before purchasing. ...
