There are several things that I feel like could have made our experience in building with Lennar so much better and wouldn’t in my opinion have been all that hard to accommodate. For instance we weren’t allowed to change anything about the options in the house and they hadn’t even broke ground yet. We asked to be given color options for the exterior color and was denied even a set option of colors, we were denied being able to add a few outlets in the pantry, we were denied option of what type of paint(instead of using the garbage flat paint). The reason was they already had everything set so no changes could be met. But when they changed the hallway closet to be much smaller than the closet in the model well they could tell me why it was different(which took away about 3 feet of depth in the hallway closet). Our sod was dead when we moved in but I will give them praise because they did make that right and with a pretty quick turnaround time. But we also have common are and an easement that I have been trying to get fixed for some time now with no luck. My husband and I had been sharing our concerns to the building team and even the Lennar Realtor . Closing date several items were still not complete and the house was not even power washed. the upstairs porch was dirty. Until now they kept saying they are coming to address this issues and had not been here yet. We closed in April

The first home we were purchasing there was a mistake on the paperwork and they wouldn’t do anything about it. So we lost the house and they were nice enough to transfer our money to the new home but they failed to tell us that the property was not level and only that it was a little larger and that they would not do anything about it. Then when we had the first walk through we told them about some items and they told us they would have them fixed by the time the final inspection was complete but they lied about it and told us they had them fixed and or replaced but they lied to us again. Know that we are in the house and we have some issues they said they would fix them and they made an appointment but no one showed up and they were checking on them. ... More

We have had a few problems with baseboards and floors but they have come to fix everything very quickly and professionally

I am sorry but this house was put together way too quick where the quality of the work was less than professional. To have my Construction Supervisor ignore my realtor and myself with question speaks volumes after the closing. I have had great luck with the warranty representative helping me remedy the issues I have encountered in the house along with workers who are part of the repairs. I have been here over a month and still getting my list of issues taken care of.

We are very happy with our last home purchase. Our salesperson Karl, our Customer Service rep Isaiah who is absolutely the best and Missy our home construction contact were very communicative, attentive and resolved problems. The quality of the home is ok, homes sat for a while awaiting inspection due to the heavy building in the area. It's a stick home and you have very little or no options, you get what you get that is on that plot. Great open design and very accomodating for 55 over. They have a tremendous amount of activities and clubs and can't wait for the amenity center to be built. In today's environment the homes are priced competitively and they give you a nice product but we have had better experiences with building up north. 1. Door strike on front door is missing. 2. Baseboard trim gaping from the wall in many places. 3. Incorrect emergency contact number. 4. Stairwell had to be repainted 5 times (orange peel and runs) at our insistence 5. At final walk through windows we’re still grimy. 6. Ant infestation in house. 7. Furnace vent crooked above roofline. 8. Wood exposed around outside of former windows. 9. Concrete poured down valve box to fire hydrant.

Really just to much to type. We had several changes in contructuon managers. Major communication issues and many things overlooked due to changes. Several push backs with closing dates. Very stressful process with many false promises

Buying a Lennar home has been a disappointing experience. Promises of what repairs and fixes will take place prior to closing have not fully materialized. Additional builder fee added to closing costs. No real reason but additional profit just because they can do it in this environment. Front line customer support, lazy and arrogant.

Our team here at StJohns Lake was terrific. They were on top of any and all issues during construction though final walk and closing. Since closing we had 1 issue with lighting which was corrected quickly. We could not have asked for a better construction management group. Thank you

Purchase and closing went pretty smoothly. The home was a great value for the square footage and features included. Overall, the build was good but there were some minor annoyances (trim separating from wall, doors closed while the pain was wet, exceptional amount of cleaning needed prior to move-in) that prevents me from giving 5 stars. Overall, I would recommend this builder.

Just as any buying experience when before after you say yes and give them the down payment to commitment, they fall Over themselves to “be there for you”. The s day you sign you’ll never hear from anybody you saw before again! The lender from Lennar didn’t know what he doing and I got emails from him requesting the same material even after I had closed. At closing, the keys my new home were mysteriously “lost”. I went to my new home with no keys. I had to stop at the sales office for the agent on duty to give me the standard key to open the house. Finally, after three days, they told me they would have to re-key the house and I would have to have a new key to the mailbox made at my own coat. I still, 6 weeks later, have not been reimbursed for that key. Pathetic customer service for a big box office store let alone a National Home Builder! The day I moved in 2 of the fire alarms were chirping. They continued to chirp every 8 hours after I would reset them with a the only long enough stick I had to reach them. On Monday morning the electrician came to the house and changed the batteries and that resolved the issue. They used old batteries in the smoke detectors. 3 weeks later another smoke detector started to chirp. I knew what it was this time. I am still amazed that they used bad batteries in a new house. 3 to be exact. Not a coincidence! The sod they use in the lawns is pathetic! I have been sincerely trying to grow this “grass” with the help of a service and it just isn’t growing. The quality is sub standard. My son Kaye’s his sod last weekend and the difference in quality is worlds apart! Apparently half a million dollar homes don’t qualify for good sod! Lennar should be ashamed! ... More

The overall home buying experience is great! This includes the people we’ve met, quality of the home, and responsive to issues with the home.

Love the home Quality of workmanship is average at best Lots of issues that are from workers not caring about quality Of work .there cars are ruining the new streets oil leaking personal vehicles running machines gouging up the blacktop. And they don’t care. Extremely sloppy. .cement work very very poor.even the side walks.huge globs of cement in the middle of sidewalks your building a beautiful new community there ruining roads before we get to use them…workers very sloppy during construction doesn’t take Much effort to work neatly.gives a better impression when people are Looking at newly constructed homes.lots of siding issues from lack of effort.u shouldn’t be installing it crooked ,like badly crooked they even put a window in the wrong spot..shower tile sloppy.drain appears to not be correct sloppy tile cuts .plenty more .great house for the price some training for workers might help .anyone I’ve called about issues has been very nice. that was nice. ... We are pleased that we were able to purchase the home of our choice. Our sales rep Penny was responsive to all of our questions. We have good interactions with our construction manager and our repair coordinator. We have also been pleased with the responsiveness to our requests for repair issues. All the new homeowners including ourselves are anxious for communication regarding the building of our amenity center.

All in all a good experience. We got a well built home at a reasonable price. Some of the workmanship could have been better which required a number of tradesmen return visits. Lennar's was very responsive to any issues, kudos to them. Bottom line I am a satisfied home owner.

Be careful and double check everything

My Agent Penny was wonderful, she helped me find my ideal home that I love. The loan officer was through and made sure I had all paperwork needed. My project manager changed 4 times and I never had anyone to really go over any questions or concerns and a lot about the home was not reviewed with me. The closing day process not only was a stressful one but rushed. The mortgage office did not take the time to review things and explain certain paperwork so I left there clueless. Though that part of my home buying experience was not pleasant everything else was good. I love where I live and the home. The workers need to be better and not leave such a mess and clean the house before closing and make sure all is ready for move in day. ... More

I’m very happy with my new home!

The builders were great, the mortgage people were great but the initial sales rep, Andy, was a pain to work with making the overall experience terrible. I had to run down answers to my questions on the status of my house/lot several times and when questioning what the hold up was I was only ever told no updates. For a first time home buying experience it was pretty terrible.

We do love our new home. However, the communication during the build process was less than ideal. And, when closing day came, we never received a proper walk through or warranty explanation. The Contractors were here and the Lead was here but they were too busy trying to finish the house that they forgot to actually speak to us. We still have a few outstanding issues. Our current "Director of Construction" has been by the house to see what he can do to finish up. Hopefully this works... I do have an issue with the driveway and the area between the garage and the house. - The driveway is WAY too narrow for a two car garage. I am going to have to pay to have it widened. I really wish you had done it right the first time. - The area between the house and the garage should have been a walkway, not a line of shrubs. There is a door from the house and a door to the Garage/Frog and there is a row of shrubs between them. This make no sense. Now I will have to pay for concrete here as well. - This are also hold water for days after a rain. The landscaper cam and installed a drain. However, they did not put it in on a slope. So the drain never empties. Plus, they ripped up the sod and killed it. Now I have to pay to have new sod put down. Speaking of which, they never rolled the yard after installing the sod. It is so rough in the back yard that our child is constantly tripping and falling. This really should be addressed. ... More

Extremely frustrating process with follow up items on punch list items. Significant issues found before closing and was pushed to close and was told items would be completed but are still not and we’ve been in the house for nearly 60 days. Poor quality of work, was clearly rushed to complete. Price was significantly dropped before closing otherwise would not have purchased the home at the original list price. Extremely happy with the location and neighborhood.
