Follow through lacking.

The loan officers and sales representatives were very helpful. The second construction manager, Chris, DID NOT follow through on the items he promised would be fixed and they still are not fixed. This puts unnecessary stress on the buyer.

Everything about this home buying process was miserable and it was made worst when we moved in. We spent over a million dollars on this home and it is made so poorly. They even forgot to put air ducts in my home.. how do you miss that. The only thing that has come out of it, is that these issues have made me bond with my neighbors over our infatuation of Lennar and our home. I even told one of the builders I wasn't happy with lennar and as opposed to asking me why.. he said "thats a common theme". If it is a common theme then fix it. I am so incredibly disappointed that I can't enjoy my ...

Our experience has been a roller coaster

Our experience with a lennar has been a roller coaster. The agent that helped us from the beginning has been very helpful. She was especially helpful right at the end. The frustration comes with the construction manager. When we did our final walk-through, there was no power, so there were things that we missed. When we were able to walk through the day that we actually purchased the house, we found a number of things that need to be fixed. He assured us that these would be taken care of. These things included ordering pieces for the closet rack, fixing issues with the counter, fixing ...

Very poor workmanship with numerous issues for a brand new home. Poor quality materials with rushed installation lead to poor quality. Extremely poor attention to detail.

while i love our new home, i do see some quality issues that seemed to have been missed. we will address at our 1yr walk through. however it would feel better had the majority of these been addressed prior to move in. as of now nothing too major, but attention to detail says a lot about ones craft, and they seem to have been lacking in some aspects. more so cosmetic, the "smart home" set up has been difficult, and why not install all of the ring functions they leave you with?? like i said small things that can be fixed, just not something you want to deal with after an EXPENSIVE purchase and ...

The overall home buying experience was not good. The construction manager was the absolute worse. The quality of the home is very cheap and already falling apart. I will never purchase or recommend a Lennar Home to anyone.

Nice house but be diligent about inspections

Overall we're happy with our Lennar home at roughly 2 months of living in it. Quality of the finish work leaves a lot to be desired though. Lots of little things that are somewhat hard to catch during inspections that need repaired or replaced. If you can avoid closing until every little thing is fixed do it, much easier to get it fixed before you close.

Do not buy a Lennar Home in Summers corner

Absolute horrible experience from beginning with our sales person to the very end. They have no ethics and do not follow true building codes. Sakes people tell you lies, the floor plan is 3rd grade pictures, craftsmanship of the house is beyond low grade, project managers aren’t even licensed builders which is why so many issues occur. No follow up from top to bottom. I closed in September and have 3 page punch list that has taken forever. I’ve had to have outside vendors come in. 48 outlets on 2 breakers isn’t even electrical code despite them trying to convince you it is. I can go on ...

Potential to be a great homebuying experience that ultimately fell short

At the point of our contract on the home, there were very minor changes we wanted made to plumbing (adding a laundry sink in the garage) and electrical (like adding a few additional outlets here and there); drywall and insulation weren't up yet, and it would be a perfect time to make those changes happen. Our Lennar contacts Kevin and Missy were totally unresponsive; the answer was always, always "NO", no changes can be made, not even if we were willing to pay extra for them. I made multiple inquiries and always was met with the same response every time -- it was absolutely baffling, to say ...

I have many outstanding items on my punch list--such as my deadbolts don't work. a cabinet door is damaged, poor shelving has left holes in the wall and the subs they want to send out only work Monday-Friday from 8-4 and are totally impossible to book. It is a nightmare. I took the day off work and the folks came to fix the deadbolts and they brought the wrong equipment-- meaning I have take another day off work with no consideration of my time and danger in living in a house with inoperable dead bolts. Do not sign the closing papers until everything is fixed. They DO NOT uphold their ...

I would highly recommend you get a plan, with dates on paper from Lennar. The weekly status updates were in the form of a phone call and if it wasn't for my notes from those, there would be zero accountability. We faced numerous delays which is to be expected with a new build but hit a series of catastrophic issues as we got closer to the close date. If Lennar would just be honest and pro-actively communicate the schedule and any change of schedule, it would help alleviate a lot of the frustration allowing home buyers to better plan for their move. Under promise and over deliver, customer ...

Disappointing experience

Overall, it has been a disappointing experience working with Lennar. We brought up multiple concerns during the construction process that were not addressed in a timely basis. As a result, closing was pushed back because they couldn’t get a CO issued. They fired their superintendent and we a new the week before the closing. To date, (almost two months post close) there are still a number of unaddressed issues on their “promise to fix” list.

Great house and the team seem committed to achieve the final items on the exception list. Good surprise offered by the smart home package. However, the finishes are not great, not in line with the value of the house... the customer journey is somewhat engineered, but not well delivered by the different parties. 45 days after the move, the exception list is still open.

We love the home and neighborhood. It is perfect for us. Very few, and minor issues for the most part. The home does have a full warrantee but getting help with any issues you may have is sketchy. If you have an issue you submit a job ticket. You will be connected with a "virtual" customer care assessment... but nothing can be repaired "virtually" so that is a waste of time. In the end you will be bounced to someone that represents your neighborhood in person. Whether or not action is taken on your request is in that person's hands. I had that person throw away my ticket because I ...

We purchased a home in the village with a closing date of sept 15. Ashley was our sales person and was absolutely wonderful! The house had many issue on closing date that was supposed to be repaired before closing. We did a walk through the day of closing, with an extensive list.....2 weeks later nothing repaired, scheduled or communicated. I sent another email requesting communication. The warranty team followed up. Ken, Isaiah, and Hillary came by for another list. FINALLY, we have forward traction! I am hopeful things will be completed, moral of the story.........construction team is ...

My husband and I recently brought a home in Lindera Preserve and had a great experience. Everyone from sales (Alvin), construction (Chip) and even during the underwriting (Rob) was very knowledgeable and helpful. We originally were going to go with a different lender but Lennar Mortgage was able to save us thousands in monthly payments and closing costs!!!! We have been in our home for a month with no major issues and we couldn’t be happier. There are a lot a bad review about Lennar in other states but we honestly didn’t have ANY ISSUES from contract to closing. This is not our forever home ...

LiZ was good. Timely and professional. Ben was our builder and i had to manage the project at end to get water meter hooked up and finally het is to closing. Delays at end cost us 1.25% higher interest rate which will wind up costing us thousands of dollars. Could give me answers about water hookup delays, so i had to go to water dept and get things moving

Average experience. Closed on a new construction home almost 2 months ago. Sales office wasn’t particularly great at communicating, nor was the loan officer and processor team. Lennar is building at a furious rate and likely running their staff into burnout but I am not a first time home buyer and felt better attended to in previous experiences, none with Lennar. I don’t have any glowing praise to offer. The 1 year warranty inspection will tell the true story of the build quality, which in Lindera does not have a stellar reputation thus far. They did hold to the closing schedule which I ...

Horrific! Nothing about Lennar says professionalism. Poor craftsmanship and poor customer service. Our new home has more issues than a fifty year old home. We basically had to do our CM’s job because he didn’t. Even the closing was a joke! What should have been a happy day was a cluster mess our house was filthy when we closed and we had over a 100 punch list items and not minor issues. We couldn’t even move in the first week we closed because our CM kept promising things would be done prior to closing - lies all lies some issues had been outstanding since pre drywall and he waited until the ...
