This is the 3rd New home I’ve purchased in the past 20 years. As a Military Veteran this was by far the worst attention to detail home I have owned. Wall outlets not all equal, carpets were dirty and full of saw dust. Professional cleaning not done. Walls have curves, windows not equal widths, air vents not in an enclosed bathroom, no air vent at the top of stairs where there’s a window. Pretty much these construction managers are slapping these homes together and not ensuring every detail is correct. For a $500K home, I expected better. Definitely not my forever home. Purchased our brand new Lennar home 2 months ago. Our new home is beautiful & exactly what we were hoping for until….. After being in the home for a week we noticed the A/C was having issues keeping The house cool. After several warranty calls/visits the issue is still not resolved. Hoping we will come to some kind of resolution soon.

Would not buy from them again. Lots of things wrong, from windows that won’t open to gaps in the crown mounding. Not to mention the closing was delayed 5 weeks due to forgotten steps with the city. Made my first home-buying experience very upsetting.

Not at all happy at the moment with Lennar!! Hopefully , the issues with our home purchase , which are many are resolved in a reasonable amount of time..

I have smoke alarms constantly going off. I need someone to address this asap! I have reached out to the contractor with no help!

Stay on top of things, that you see wrong. Get a home inspector for pre drywall and final inspection. I have doors the stick because of the way they painted and hung the door. Over 6 door that are coming apart and peeling..I am disappointed quality of a over half a million home…

The quality of work from the trades is horrible. It’s a shame there are so many issues with homes at this price point. The emphasis seems to be on closing homes, and correcting the issues afterwards, rather than staying on top of issues during the home building process.

Gina was very helpful, thorough and proactive in guiding us through the home purchase. John, our builder, did a great job getting the house completed on schedule and giving us a warm welcome and thorough walk through on the closing day.

Our salesman, Paul C. was great. Our builder Darrel M. could have been MUCH more responsive and more communicative.

Do not buy with this builder. All they care about is money and not the customer. My realtor even said this is the worst builder she has ever dealt with and will not recommend this builder to any of her clients ever again.

Love our home but the workmanship and attention to detail is not good especially for the price we paid. Totally feel taken advantage of and Lennar has not been responsive at all. Our construction manager did not do a great job and was MIA with most of all of our problems during the process. Again, beautiful home but not a great experience at all.

Everything started off great then as it got closer to our home being finish built. No one communicated issues to us and little things that needed to be done were never finished. Got a lot of fast talk but no completion.

At our pre closing walk thru, we met with the construction manager and listed a number of things that needed attention. On the day of closing, we were told our construction manger had quit and a new man was on the job. There was a pile of debris still in the driveway and the yard was full of trash. The punch list hadn't been completed or addressed properly. By the time we arrived with the movers, the debris in the driveway was gone but the yard was still a mess. The purchasing process of buying my home was smooth and easy. Working with the loan processors proved to be remarkably easy, even with the VA involved). Had to close remotely (12 May 22). House keys "got lost" between the closing coordinator and Butler & College. Closing coordinator (Erika) proved to be a waste of time. Alot of finger pointing between Erika and Butler & College. Closing/Escrow Manager (Brittney) joins conversation and appears helpful. Statements surmised to resolve situation in 3 days (email dated 17 May22). I follow up with emails and phone calls on 20 May 22 and 23 May 22. No response. Brittney's voicemail box is now full. Brittney and Erika have not returned any emails or phone calls since 17 May 22. I resort to emailing everyone I have ever been in contact with, who is employed by Lennar. Penny (in sales) rejoins the conversation. Gets house and mail box rekeyed in less than 2 days. She FedEx overnighted the keys to me. Keys finally in hand on 27 May 22. I have the email chains to corroborate this synopsis. House keys delivered to me, 2 weeks after closing is absolutely unacceptable. I presume Penny paid for the rekey of the house and mailbox, then the delivery from her own pocket. She deserves big blue cape with the Lennar logo on it, a managerial position, and a healthy bonus. She saved the whole operation. That the star rating isn't at the bottom is because of Penny and to a lesser extent the Loan Officer Department (Alison & Julie). So far the Lennar warranty program/process is proving to be quite helpful and efficient. ... More

We closed a month late (weren't told till the day we were supposed to close by the builder). I get that happens. Didn't have a pre-close walkthrough. No closing celebration. Closed with an open punchlist of items that STILL aren't fixed and it's been more than two months. Had multiple conversations with multiple people and constantly getting the run around. If everything was done right, we would LOVE the house. But the quality (or lack of) shows through in just about everything

In today’s home market, I feel more comfortable knowing that Lennar has made an effort to repair any areas of oversight during the build process. Also, with the 1yeat home guarantee I’m protected.

This is our second Lennar home that we purchased within the last 4 years. And I have to say the workmanship on the 2nd Lennar home is not as great as the 1st one, We had 3 different project managers during the whole process. The last one that closed with us was not at all knowledgeable on what came with the house at least not the basics. I have submitted 3 different warranty items and 1 has already been resolved and waiting on the next 2.

We purchased a home a few months ago. With some items not finished, but we could longer be in rental so we’re in a bad situation after our house sat for about 3-4 months with minimal to no work done. We closed 3 months late. We still are living in a house with unfinished items and poor quality workmanship. Then we are constantly flat out lied to through out the entire build process and now trying to get warranty issues addressed. My tubs all have rust rings in them and had them at time of closing. My house wasn’t even cleaned. Windows have paint on them, Mia stains on soffit, concrete work is stained and honestly finished at a bad quality. The product you handed over to me and many people I know on my street is downright awful. You should honestly be ashamed of yourselves and your management and anyone who is a lennar employee. Not only will I never buy another lennar home I will always warn people and I will tell everyone about my experience with your company and how truly awful this experience was and badly built this house is. ... From start to finish, this was a fantastic experience! Kevin was our Lennar realtor. He was extremely knowledgeable and responsive to all of our questions (I had a lot!). Missy was an amazing construction manager! She was patient with us and made sure the building process was smooth and kept us up to date on the progress. We’ve now been in our dream home for 7 weeks, and we couldn’t be happier! Thank you to the entire Lennar team!

Lennar used pressure sales techniques - it was clear very early on in the process that it was about moving product for them - they cared very little about whether the buyer was having a positive experience. they approached each piece of the buying process as " do it now or we will just replace you with the next buyer" at one point they sent over a 45 pg document at 11;30pm on a Sunday night and expected it signed by 9am the next morning - classless, ruthless & purely profit motivated

Kevin and Darrel were great! Kept me informed at every stage of the process. I had a wonderful experience working with them!

If you want a Brand new house that you have to fix, buy a Lennar Home. Outside of the lack of craftsmanship throughout the home and garage, there was very little oversight on the contractors during the building process. We would be told that certain things were being done on the home and then find out that nothing had been worked on in weeks. Our home sat for 12 weeks during the inspection process and was failing inspection due to the issues that were there from the initial inspection. Lennar told us that it was making progress until we saw the actual inspection documents that showed the negligence in the build. There is such a lack of oversight and a lack of caring from Lennar because in this housing climate, they can always find another buyer. Phone calls and text messages would just be ignored and then the construction managers would act surprised when the concerns that were brought up became issues towards the end. We have been in our “new fixer-upper” now for over a month and the quality of work is awful. The finishes from painting to actual framework look as if I would have done them myself. Windows that don’t latch, doors that don’t shut correctly, siding that is missing leaving the home exposed, walls where you can see where they were patched, paint that doesn’t match, raw wood exposed, yard that wasn’t leveled, and bowed walls on the third floor (something we brought up prior to the inspection phase) are just some of the issues. If you are buying a Lennar home, expect to put in an extra $10,000-$20,000 after the fact just because they don’t want to do it right the first time and they hope that you get tired of calling them out. They beat you into submission purely by ignoring or delaying their response by weeks at a time. Buying the home based on layout was easy as they look great. Our experience with Lennar was horrible. The quality of our home is terrible and our construction manager, Eric, didn't care about doing his job. He lied and dismissed our concerns. We failed our framing inspection multiple times due to Eric not doing his job. We had a 3rd party inspector come out and pointed out things that were wrong with our framing. Multiple times Eric lied to us saying everything in our report was fixed, just for us to find out it wasn't. On our pre close walk through he didn't want to hear our concerns about all the issues and we had to make him do the blue tape walk through. On the day of close nothing from our check list was completed. He said straight to our face, I have 20 homes, what do you want from me. Our home was 4 different colors due to them not being able to match paint during touch-up. Eric's response, it is what it is. We went over his head to his boss and the next day we had area reps, the paint company owner and the paint manufacturer at our home saying something was messed up and they needed to repaint. Eric made this whole situation a nightmare. The quality of our home is so bad... It is built like a $100,000 home, not the price they charged us, just short of 1 million. The caulking job through out the house is a joke, you can see every drywall seems, drywall patches are super noticable. They used the cheapest paint and materials. They used the cheapest contractors and it shows. The funny part is when we called them out on the lies and the dishonest communication Eric and our sales rep Gabe tried to cancel our contact because we were being unreasonable. You know asking them to be honest and communicate with us. On close we had them create an expectation list for a ton of items that should of been caught by Eric... But again he didn't care. We are 2 months past close and we have to email them every day to get them to honor their promise. Still everything isn't fixed. Andy, our sales person, was great. We felt at ease with him during this purchase. We were disappointed when he was moved to another neighborhood because we felt we'd be out of sight and out of mind when it came to questions during the build. Andy still communicated with us regularly and advocated for us , even remotely. Unfortunately the person responsible for our build wasn't as good. He answered our requests and questions with answers he was unable or unauthorized to do. If we asked "can you do this...?" in our house, he'd say yes, then it wouldn't happen. When we continued to ask for updates he stopped answering texts, emails and phone calls. We learned later that he could not deliver on those promises. He's evidently no longer with Lennar. There are some significant quality of worksmanship issues. Drywall is nowhere near smooth, screws were showing in drywall (not "pops" - screwheads were visible), paint was not good enough- it looked like the paint was watered down in some places where the drywall was still visible. It was mostly just the trim and finish that should have been much better. All of the functions work fine. No electrical, plumbing, or structural issues. ... More
