We love the home despite the fact that we are still having to deal with punch list issues prior to closing now that we’ve been in the home for 4 months. The Lennar agent our realtor worked with was not trustworthy come to find out on things we were told early on when we decided to buy. Lennar management is horrible! I wouldn’t ever seek out to work with this builder ever again.

Lennar responded:

Experienced numerous problems from purchase to closing. Did not receive things we were told were included in house. Couldn't even get in house for a couple of days after closing. Still unresolved problems. Overall was not a good experience.

Bought from across the country wasn’t able to be there along the way. A lot of qc issues from slanted walls, terrible paint, non existent cleanup. Pretty disappointed with the build compared to 2 others we have built

Monitor the work throughout the process. Many of the trades do subpar work and the construction manager failed to do to his job. If you can be here everyday to check on the progress than you might be ok. If you're forced to rely on the construction manager...well good luck.

Not getting all warranty items resolved.

Lennar personnel promised to resolve quality/warranty issue within 30 days of closing on our house on 30 September 2019. After delays, and in some cases, multiple attempts by Lennar appointed technicians, we still have lingering issues with exterior doors. We also submitted a Lennar warranty ticket on a cracked countertop in our master bathroom that still is not resolved. The exterior doors have had added added in various places around each door that look terrible and have not solved the door sealing issues. The exterior door seals need to be replaced with new seals that reliably seal the ...

Lennar’s house plans are very well done for modern living. Materials are as advertised. Home care warranty is practically worthless. And their people can be spiteful if you get upset with their poor service.

Still trying to get issues fixed almost 5 months in.

We've had nothing but problems since the day of closing when we walked in for final review and none of the issues had been corrected. I could give a whole list of issues and problems that almost 5 months in we are still trying to get taken care of. Seems like every time we get one resolved, another issue shows up. I wouldn't recommend them.

I was very disappointed in Lennar and the quality of work done at our house. Counter tops not finished (sealed), no ceiling fans, no gutters, landscaping was done cheap and the soil is not compacted so it holds water. Have called in 9 warranty issues in the first month. AC unit is undersized and will barely cool the house. We would have chose a different builder if we knew this is what Lennar produces. Do Not recommend buying a Lennar home if you can help it.

Lennar responded:
Hi Kevin, thank you for sharing your detailed review. We are sorry for any issues you have experienced with the quality of your new home, as well as any missing or incomplete finishes. Lennar seriously needs to look at there home buying process from the bottom up. Sales people need to know more about the product their selling, I had an independent inspection done of the newly constructed house many incompleted items, a lot code related. Some where corrected then PM said he would correct remaining issues himself after settlement. Off the record never seen PM since. If this is the way Lennar does business it’s no surprise the sued all the time. There the reason production builders get a bad reputation. If Lennars PM (Lou) dot return as promised to finish my unfinished punch ...

Beware of purchasing a home through Lennar. Unfortunately, the project manager does not manage their jobs. Contractors are getting away with crooked walls, drainage issues, poor workmanship, grading issues, etc. They will make excuses and not fix them. The project manager may even get in your face and try to threaten you. Poor purchasing experience! I will never purchase another Lennar home!

My husband and I had been sharing our concerns to the building team and even the Lennar Realtor . Closing date several items were still not complete and the house was not even power washed. the upstairs porch was dirty. Until now they kept saying they are coming to address this issues and had not been here yet. We closed in April

Buying a Lennar home has been a disappointing experience. Promises of what repairs and fixes will take place prior to closing have not fully materialized. Additional builder fee added to closing costs. No real reason but additional profit just because they can do it in this environment. Front line customer support, lazy and arrogant.

Extremely frustrating process with follow up items on punch list items. Significant issues found before closing and was pushed to close and was told items would be completed but are still not and we’ve been in the house for nearly 60 days. Poor quality of work, was clearly rushed to complete. Price was significantly dropped before closing otherwise would not have purchased the home at the original list price. Extremely happy with the location and neighborhood.

I have many outstanding items on my punch list--such as my deadbolts don't work. a cabinet door is damaged, poor shelving has left holes in the wall and the subs they want to send out only work Monday-Friday from 8-4 and are totally impossible to book. It is a nightmare. I took the day off work and the folks came to fix the deadbolts and they brought the wrong equipment-- meaning I have take another day off work with no consideration of my time and danger in living in a house with inoperable dead bolts. Love our home but the workmanship and attention to detail is not good especially for the price we paid. Totally feel taken advantage of and Lennar has not been responsive at all. Our construction manager did not do a great job and was MIA with most of all of our problems during the process. Again, beautiful home but not a great experience at all.

We closed a month late (weren't told till the day we were supposed to close by the builder). I get that happens. Didn't have a pre-close walkthrough. No closing celebration. Closed with an open punchlist of items that STILL aren't fixed and it's been more than two months. Had multiple conversations with multiple people and constantly getting the run around. If everything was done right, we would LOVE the house. But the quality (or lack of) shows through in just about everything

The Sales team was excellent throughout the process and even after we closed on our home. The quality of the build as well as the communication from the project manager left a lot to be desired. When you’re spending this much money on a brand new home, you don’t expect to have to do 2-3 months of repairs right when you move in, but that’s what had happened with us, even though we have been discussing these issues, and bringing up issues as the house was being built. Not only was our home delayed and not done correctly, the craftsmanship was HORRIBLE, and no one showed up to our closing.
