The quality of work from the trades is horrible. It’s a shame there are so many issues with homes at this price point. The emphasis seems to be on closing homes, and correcting the issues afterwards, rather than staying on top of issues during the home building process.

Gina was very helpful, thorough and proactive in guiding us through the home purchase. John, our builder, did a great job getting the house completed on schedule and giving us a warm welcome and thorough walk through on the closing day.

In today’s home market, I feel more comfortable knowing that Lennar has made an effort to repair any areas of oversight during the build process. Also, with the 1yeat home guarantee I’m protected.

We recently purchased a Columbia home model with Lennar. The process went smoothly with their lender and title company. Our loan processor was awesome. There were other minor issues but they fixed them after our initial walk through, which was great. Thank you Lennar!

This is my fifth home I have had built. The overall experience was one of the best that I have had. My site project manager was very responsible to my emails and issues, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, the house had less issues at closing than previous homes. I was not a fan of not being able to make selections for options as in previous homes, that was always a selling point for me in buying my own home. This was an investment property, so I was able to move past that, but still didnt like the exterior color of the home. Also, the large walk-in master shower really should have a shower door, not the expectation of a shower rod as that would have flooding issues. I had to invest in a shower door post move-in. The sod that was put down also sat at the end of the road for a week or more and was mostly dead when I took ownership of the home and the yards on the entire street look very poor because of this. ... Lennar has built a solid and well appointed home, the workmanship of the house itself is excellent and I’m very pleased.

Overall, very satisfied. My only complaint would be the interior painting, specifically the trim. Workmanship is not what I would expect based on the cost of our home.

The home was well done and in the time originally specified. The home buying consultant went above and beyond in every way. Can't say enough good things about her. Construction manager was very responsive to a couple of issues we noticed on closing day. Coming to SC from Ca. we were delighted with the home and it's price. Overall we are pleased with the home.

Lennar does a good job with its homes from start to finish- including financing.

Andrew and his team did a great job with construction of our home. He was responsive to issues found, and had the quality of the home and happiness of the customer in mind at all times. Debbie and the sales team were great in helping us through the design process as well. Very good experience all around.

The house was not completed on the date it was first offered. Other houses next to us were started after ours and completed before ours while ours stood vacant without any workers for days. The quality of numerous items is subpar. The paint is very low quality and the attention to detail is very low. Not the quality of a professional painter. We moved in only to find the plumbing blocked up by the cleaning crews cloths. Had to have a plumber come and unplug the entire plumbing system after it backed up and no one responded until the next day! Seems that these houses are put together as quickly as possible without the use of quality professionals but the use of low cost low ability immigrants. Several of the appliances had to be secured further after we moved in as they were not completely installed before closing. These houses will be nice but it will take the fixing of numerous items. For the price we pay I feel these items all should be done and done with quality professionals not cheap laborers. ... More

Started out with their broker lender an agent ended up, finding my own on the side to get a better deal even with the incentives they were offering. Personally, I am very pleased that I got a private Inspector because there was a lot of serious issues that were overlooked at the construction inspection. Still dealing with issues after moving on a list that I have for my 11 month inspection, including drywall, not being properly done baseboards with cracks wood frames with big gases, and then siding not properly placed and lifts, and a strong wind. Inside the downstairs floor there is literally drywall squares all over the ceiling that we didn’t notice until we put proper lighting inside the house. ... More

The overall experience with Lennar was good, especially from the beginning with sales. The sales team was great, straightforward and professional. The Lennar mortgage team was also great to work with but I will say they treated someone else I know who purchased a first home in the beginner series with less concern and value thank they did us with a higher priced home. They should be no less important. As far as the home itself goes, I believe it might be lacking in quality materials and workmanship. Corners seem to have been cut to save money. We have only been in our house a month and a half and already have had two significant warranty issues - one due to poor workmanship and it took 4 visits and 3 weeks to correct. Communication on that was terrible as Lennar couldn’t seem to figure out which sub should address and correct the problem. The second issue seems to be a manufacturer defect and possibly low quality materials but it poses a safety hazard to my family and needs to be corrected ASAP. So far, I am still waiting. I am also coming from a house that was very solidly built with a high degree of workmanship and high quality materials so it’s hard not to compare. I do love the floor plan we chose with Lennar. It could not be more perfect . I do hope my home will prove itself to be of good quality over the years and I hope Lennar proves themselves to be a quality builder in the long run. ... More

Our Sales Representative was awesome. He was thorough, patient, and responsive. We looked at a mortgage loan, and our mortgage Representative was also outstanding. The process can seem annoying at times, but understandable. The home build has not been as stellar, and somewhat disappointing. Mudding, caulking, and paint priming has been the source of frustration. Cabinetry quality is satisfactory, at best. Still moving in.

The work I asked to have corrected on my house was not done. It was painted over and that was how they corrected it. Please don't schedule final inspection 2vhours before closing.

From the sales associate to the loan officer everything went smoothly and met my expectations.

Get your own real estate agent, don’t just use the provided Lennar agent. Our agent was able to ask questions and provide information that we never would have thought of. Lennar is like any big business, they’re looking out for themselves. The Lennar agent didn’t even come to our closing. We l’ve had plumbing issues due to a pipe that was damaged prior to our purchase and 2 out of 3 of Lennar’s warranty people haven’t all been great to work with. It just depends on who you get. The houses are nice, as is our neighborhood, but you need to make sure your stay on top of things.

Generally good. There was a lot of attention leading up to the purchase but after that not so much. The workmanship and attention to detail is ok. The team could do better with quality control. Lots of little details missed. For instance there are pencil marks on nearly every corner and on the floor where trim work meets. A drawer front in the kitchen was damaged and JD said he would replace it- that has been nearly 2 months ago, shower glass has flaws that should have been pickup by the build team and replaced. Again I feel it has been all about getting the house closed.
