The only positive comment I can make is on the speed of my closing. I have never closed on a home in under 30 days but, now that I’m in my home, I realize that the closing is fast because you’re being swindled. My advice to anyone looking to purchase from Lennar would be to make sure that you utilize an experienced realtor, do not rush to buy, have your home inspected and re-inspected if necessary. Do not sign anything until you are completely satisfied. I cannot believe I fell for the “warranty” trick when I was already being treated as an idiot that has never purchased a home before during the buying process. Now, I have warranty requests open and ignored because Lennar sees you as someone that has never owned anything and doesn’t know how to own a home. No, it’s not spoken but, it’s expressed through side comments and doing things around your home as if you wouldn’t know that someone changed something at your house to prove that you didn’t know what you were doing to close the warranty request. Keep in mind that Lennar is only concerned with the sale. Again, I don’t have anything positive to say about Lennar and acknowledge that I have made a mistake that I will have to work with for now. Lennar is a good company that good work! Going through the information process and getting approved was not easy for but helped me get approved for the home we wanted. They stayed in constant contact with me every step of the way. The home is beautiful and everything we were looking for. They walked us through the new build and showed us how everything worked and even had all our warranty information posted in the house for easy access. I would definitely recommend Lennar to anyone looking to buy a new home!

I think it's like any other townhome community. As far as the building when you basically are doing copy and paste construction there should be no flaws, sloppy workmanship happens.

Easy to work with and a seamless process.

As a repeat Lennar home buyer, I bought a second home from Lennar as I liked the floor plan and the neighborhood and had an overall good experience with my first Lennar home. However, this second home I recently purchased was a disappointing experience from beginning to end, plagued with numerous quality issues with the home, a lack of a robust quality assurance review process, lack of responsiveness, and an even worse warranty experience after purchase. Sales & Construction Process: - While they were all pleasant friendly and professional people, there was a lack of or sometimes no response and follow up from construction managers in spite of continued emails from myself and my realtor requesting updates on open issues, and in spite of being told by my Sales Rep in writing that we would get weekly updates on the construction of our home (never occurred even once), thereby causing delays in closing as issues were not fixed on time, repeatedly. - Significant defects in construction quality that had to be identified by the homeowner & my realtor vs. Lennar having a robust quality assurance process to identify and remediate issues BEFORE a walk through was performed. Not allowing a homeowner to blue-tape defects during a Walkthrough is an industry-first and caused gaps in what had to be remediated prior to closing. So, had to do 4 walk throughs due to all the defects and remediation, causing delays in closing. - Lack of knowledge and technical know-how by construction managers as they couldn't explain how defects would be repaired, or how they were repaired by the trades people after they were completed. - Trade workers used to remediate issues would fix one issue yet create another issue (damage), causing repeated delays in closing. Yet again was left up to the homeowner and realtor to identify this vs. the Lennar team exhibiting accountability to proactively resolve the issues and "do what was right" without the homeowner having to constantly push and escalate to get issues addressed. In addition, being a repeat customer did not seem to matter in resolving these situations so customer loyalty did not seem to be valued. The home was not properly cleaned and delivered at closing and I was given the excuse "this is a Builder's clean" which frankly is a self-inflicted insult on Lennar if this is the quality they deliver to customers upon closing. Others including my realtor agreed it was subpar. As an example, the level of paint splatter all over the LVP throughout the home was unbelievable as I am still working to get all that scraped up myself 2 months after closing. Warranty Processs: The Warranty Manager (Bryan) seemed to be focused only on metrics and directed me to submit the requests only on a certain day as he didn't want the ticket to be open for too long which would presumably reflect on him. Coming from the service ticket industry myself, this is highly inappropriate to influence a customer on the timing of ticket submission as opposed to focusing on the quality of the work to be performed and ensuring proper resolution. His focus was on quantity (ticket closure) vs. Quality (warranty request completeness and customer satisfaction). Also, there were not constructive conversations for my warranty requests with Bryan as he was often combative, disrespectful, made unprofessional comments, condescending, kept blaming me for issues that the trade vendors caused, and never was onsite to oversee the quality of repairs done by the trade workers thereby putting me as the homeowner in an uncomfortable position to assess the completeness and quality of the repairs which is not my responsibility. As just one example, during one of the warranty repair conversations on the phone, Bryan said to me "you seem to have a problem with Lennar's quality yet you bought two homes from them". This remark to me was not only irrelevant to the warranty matter at hand, but highly unprofessional and shows a lack of respect for me as the homeowner/customer. He proceeded to be combative and said "there's nothing I can do to make you happy" and in spite of what I said to explain my view on things, he interrupted me and repeated three times in a row "you have a great day" and hung up on me. During this conversation, one of the construction managers overheard Bryan's phone conversation with me, and that person reached out to me separately to apologize and said this is not representative of the quality Lennar provides to customers. This speaks volumes if even other Lennar staff has recognized how Bryan treats his customers. In fact, my neighbors and even the community HOA rep have all indicated challenges with this warranty manager's communication and level of respect for the homeowners. I have purchased with many other big-box builders and never experienced this lack of quality and overall customer care experience. Again, this was a disappointment especially after coming back to Lennar to buy a second home. I would unfortunately never buy a Lennar home again due to my recent experience. ... More

Lennar really paid attention to our home buying needs and provided superior customer service from our first contact with their sales rep (Tina) to handing us the keys of home ownership. Working with Lennar’s financing team was the easiest home buying experience we’ve ever participated in (5+homes bought in past years). Their tours, walk throughs, focus on explaining how various utilities, appliances, and the home’s infrastructure worked, and including their incentives and warrantees put our minds at ease. The home itself is gorgeous. We love our new home!

Lots of confusion on closing day, very difficult to communicate with HOA, still have no idea who we need to contact for trash service.

I got my home at a really great price anything that needs to be repaired they get right on it there's a lot of things that are included in the home that cost extra other home builders everything is great except the small yard lol

My experience from start to finish was painless. Charlotte was an absolute pleasure to work with.

They have a very supportive team; as expected in any new construction, there is always something to fix afterward, but the Lennar team has always been vertbreaponsive and fixed the few things they needed to adjust as soon as possible ( sometimes the very days I submitted the inquiry)

Lennar realtor were awesome in responding to questions and they are knowledgeable of the area or the house that is been sold.

My experience was great from the sales team all the way down to loan officer and everyone else that work with us. They made everything about my home understandable where I would have no doubts about buying my home. I really enjoyed every thing about my experience with them would encourage anyone to buy with Lennar great team never a bad moment always there to answer any question or problem you have and I love that.

Overall I am very happy with my new home. I had a challenge up front. My septic tank was put in the middle of my back yard so no patio Room could be built. After much anguish and threatening to not buy my beautiful home, the 2nd level Manager Jeremy offered to have septic tank moved for addition desired. It WAS moved and he promised to pay for a re-inspection BUT as of today the $150.00 has not been reimbursed to me. I contacted Jeremy again yesterday to request the reimbursement. Great builders to work with was my experience with Lennar

This was a difficult review to write, and one where I waited nearly two months to see if there was resolution on a few issues. Let me break this down into areas: Construction/Builder: This started off as the biggest issue. After we put down our deposit, we were told our final lot layout was going to be different then what we originally expected/been advised. However, after all of the back and forth, the construction team itself really got behind getting us the home we wanted. It started rough, but once Elddy and Rob recognized that this wasn't going to be a simple fix, they went with making sure it was the right fix. Overall, probably the best experience we had was with the actual "construction" side of the house. We got a great home with very few initial issues. Customer Service: This is where Lennar really really dropped the ball. Everyone is nice, so its not the tone or the professionalism, but it was very clear that the sales side of the house wasn't really interested in anything. One key aspect is that, after confirming several seperate times the closing date, we were notified a week out (after we had agreed to a closing date on our current home sale) that the house wouldn't be ready. The Customer Service side of the house really emphasized that they would make this right, both financially and for the inconvenience. Its been two months and I am still waiting for the full reimbursement of the costs associated with the delayed closing. The "Check is in the mail." since July 20th. This was probably the most disappointing portion, as I really thought that the customer service side was going to work on this. Honestly Elddy was more customer orientated that the customer service side. Lennar Mortgage: This is where the bottom of the situation was. I'm not sure if it was our loan processor or if this is the process, but I have actively recommended against people using the Lennar Mortgage lender. Their "Incentives" are simply eaten up by the Lennar Mortgage to give you a Competitive Rate. Other than Jim (Loan Analyst) the Lennar Mortgage process was about as questionable as it could get. Jim, our Loan Analyst, went so far outside of his lane to take care of us that its crazy. Truly appreciate that guy. Summary: Listen, home builders are trying to make money. At the end of the day, that's their job and they have a fiduciary responsibility to their board to maximize profits. There are some builders who do outstanding work and truly emphasize the interaction with the customers, that's just not Lennar. You as the buyer should NEVER take the builder or customer service at their word. Verify, have third party inspections done, and make sure that you capture everything in writing. ... More
