In beginning everything was good and the seller Carson was amazing, after that it was so complicate. I had other company to do all relative to the mortgage and I decide do it with Lennar and that was like nightmare. then when I was in the end of process I went to do the walk in, and I was let them know what need to be fixed, the lady how was with me answer " you have to understand this is a production house" I don't know if the mean it is the cheaper house, don't ask for to much, anyway for a production house, they should offer good quality, and better costumer service.

Lennar did an adequate job. The home is good all-in-all but there are definite things that need improving. The attention to detail is definitely lacking with the workmanship and the employees were not always the friendliest. If you’re looking for a pretty good house for a pretty good price, then you’ll get it, but don’t expect anything amazing from the product or the people.

My wife and I have not closed on our new house yet. There have been multiple delays with our closing

To many things built wrong , unfinish paint,light fixture failing out of ceiling, windows installed not straight, bad grass planted, cracks in walls, not enough dirt in yard a round foundation, fence posts. Loose, cheap paint can't ripe spot off without paint coming off, edges around the roof. looks unfinish etc. dips in back yard cant walk without stumbling, please. respond

Lennar does not care about new home owners after the exact day of closure.

The whole experience was not at easy as i though.

Buying process was quick and reasonable. Everyone before purchase was friendly and informative but it was a complete mess afterwards with no one to communicate with when issues arose.

1st time buying from the builder. Was very confusing and people are not very helpful.

Overall, I’d say the experience was well but very overwhelming. A lot of back-and-forth, which is to be expected with a huge decision to purchase a home. With Lennar being a giant production builder it’s understandable that things don’t always go as planned, but their processes are streamline and issues end up getting worked out. So far we’re loving being in our new house and appreciate the opportunity to buy with Lennar. As of 2 months after closing our experiences are nowhere near what a lot of the negative experiences are that are posted online. We have a lot of good things to say, but there are also some drawbacks. Workmanship is subpar to say the least, there are obvious corners that have been cut, but nonetheless, they built homes fast for wide variety of people and families. Be ready to be on your computer 24-7 with no excuses, your life will stop because they need things as ASAP with no excuses, even if you are driving, at home with your family!!!!!! they make you feel you need them or I don't know what was the point of doing that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think there are some basic things that needed to be included in these homes that Lennar does not. I think glass shower doors and maybe ceiling fans should be the basics in homes in Texas. I also think the team that builds the homes could use a little more supervision I won’t get into that. Other than that the homes are nice which they build more in other spaces affordable homes because all cities in Dfw need affordable homes not just in the outskirts.

This is our second home, which was built by Lennar. We continue to have problems that have been outsourced for replacement or repair. The reports and updates we are getting reflect on Lennar as uncaring if we do not sign off on service tickets. Twice now a ticket has been closed without a completed repair. Where is the care in that?

As a first time home buyer, you expect certain things but I know not everything can go as planned. Communication at the start of my process was great between the loan officer and home consultant. As the weeks go by, I start to send out documents and I’m getting emails to send the same documents I sent weeks ago… or even just a couple days ago… are they not checking what I am sending. I was also given a very high interest rate even though initially I was told it was going to be a lot lower… the fix?? If you can get a lower rate elsewhere we will match it! Why not just offer the lower rate… Long story short to that, Lennar Mortgage matched the lower rate of the other bank. Now comes the last couple of months and lack of communication to myself and between Lennar staff. I was told closing would be a certain date but that got pushed multiple times until I finally closed 3 months from when I was originally told. I also had a scheduled walk-thru and was double booked that day so that got pushed a week. On my final walk-thru, the day of closing nothing was completed and blue tape was still up from when I taped. Miraculously, I still closed that day because I had it pushed a couple of hours. With all of this, no one was in communication with each other, loan officer didn’t know closing was pushed, home consultant didn’t know walk thru wasn’t done, and so on. In terms of build quality, it could be a lot better. I did have my own 3rd party inspection who mentioned the bones of the home was great but marked the little stuff that Lennar actually fixed. But to this day (a month and a half into living in the home) I am magic eraser-ing the small splatter of paint I see on the floor corners or floor edge. Would I recommend Lennar? if you’re going for price sure. But if you want quality in terms of home and the whole process I’d look elsewhere. ... More

Quality of workmanship is poor. Value is low compared the price paid. The paint quality is poor. Warranty team responds to issues raised but would not fix everything.

Had a good experience generally. only big disappointment was on the 1st and 2nd viewing of the property before purchase. The lady treated us really badly. We still remember this.

Customer service has been ok except NOT the mortgage part… otherwise ok

Spec house. Know what you’re buying, lennar is there for money.

Make sure you ask questions.

Very pressured to use their preferred lenders and when we wouldn’t change our lender the closing of our house was threatened.

I like the house I bought, but I don’t love it. I think Lennar should stop trying to build homes so fast. Quality means so much more to me than speed. There have been several issues that I have called about in the past few months that should have been done before I moved in. The customer service team as a whole does a great job, but I don’t care for the customer service representative assigned to take care of warranty issues. I don’t like the fact that I was told the amenity center would be completed by the summer and that is now to be determined. I also think Lennar should allow customers to choose more options when purchasing a home, for example gutters, as opposed to having to pay after closing. I like the smart home features of my house, but the quality of this house is less than what I had in my Bloomfield home. The painters they used were simply terrible and I would never recommend them to anyone. Carson is always helpful and helpful to me. I paid 250k for a 1600 sq ft 4 bedroom house with the tiniest backyard I've ever seen. I'm a first time home buyer and after the first 2 months here I can now confidentially list numerous things that were done shoddily. 1. EVERY door frame in the house is just the tiniest but bigger than it should be. I've needed to put door strike plate expanders on every door that I actually want to keep closed since they left about 1 millimeter of contact between the latch bolt and the strike plate. Shaking the door aggressively could open it up without even turning the handles. 2. The back door is literally cut crooked. The spine of the door is attached to a literal crooked doorframe that stick out more on the middle than the top of bottom and since day 1, the back door doesn't close or open right and takes a bunch of force to do either. 3. Moulding caulk across the entire house was done shoddily. Now I see why I had all those pest control people literally harassing me the first month. It's because they know that the moulding isn't actually sealed and just has holes and missed spots for insects to literally enter the house. Your carpeted bedroom. The back door, the kids room, the kitchen, it's everywhere. 4. They never sealed the bottom of the cabinets. Within one week I had an animals get stuck in the crawlspace they left uncovered in the cabinets. They literally just left it unfinished and little animals can crawl in there.... And there is no way to force them out without breaking about the entire cabinet system. 5. NONE of the cabinets or drawers in this house has handles on them. None..... I didn't realize it during the rush to buy, that they wouldn't be installing even basic things like that. I bought a house that already has issues that need to be fixed and the inspector didn't notice ANY of this. That's not to mean the inspector didn't also have things that needed to be worked on, but those were almost inconsequential superficial things that almost seemed to exist to distract me. I've also needed to buy an additional AC unit for the master bedroom, because even with a new house and new unit, the master bedroom, the one that's the main bedroom in the house, is ten degrees warmer than the rest of the house at all times. ... Had a problem with AC unit and the reaction time was not quick. Lived here for a few months always finding issues. You make a ticket to get it fixed and they only fix it if your home. So that means you have to take off work. So I been fixing it myself.

The sales rep has inaccurate information and the closing process was a hassle. They claimed the home would be locked but let someone come in and track the carpets and damage the floor. Also, didn’t get the keys during closing.

Overall the price of the home was affordable, especially for the area. The home was built with builder grade materials so didn't expect anything of quality and I received exactly as expected. Overall the buying process is stressful and they force you into using their mortgage. I do not suggest using their title company. The sales staff are so-so. At first super responsive but as the process moves along they do a horrible job coordinating things and keeping you updated. The walk through person was probably the only bright spot. He did a great job explaining where things are located, how to work the items, and how to file a warranty claim if needed. However items which were repaired left other issues cosmetically in the home which were never repaired and now left up to me to fix. Again, the price of the home for being so centrally located to Dallas was amazing. Even with all these issues I would buy again only because of the price and location but if I was ever looking for a more suburban home I would completely avoid Lennar. ... More
