The homes are not built with very high quality materials and they haven't installed with care, if you miss something in your home orientation, it's probably not covered by warranty and it will be your responsibility. I had issues with carpet and floor installation and they are not covered by warranty and I have to hire some people to fix my brand new house carpet.

I found it too difficult to gain attention of the sales staff at the model office. I visited the subdivision at least two times but was told to use online system to set appointment with the sales agent and was told that there was long waiting list. That discouraged me as a buyer to proceed any further. Finally, during the last week of December, I used the online system to set up an appointment and saw a sales agent. Poor quality and poor attention to the new home buying experience

There was no effort to make the new home buying experience nice. I have bought 4 other new homes and this experience was the worst by a long shot. Additionally, the quality of the home is very poor, from appliances to dry wall work to doors not closing properly.

Though the process was relatively quick the communication throughout the entire process needs work. I did have a third party inspection on my home and thankfully it was mostly cosmetic issues but there was a lot of sloppy work done on the home and some of it had to be redone prior to closing. The concrete driveway and sidewalks are sub-par and very sloppily done. They did a bad patch job where they chipped the concrete when removing the forms. From two weeks after signing the purchase agreement, you can see the disorganization. The sales consultant was disorganized, inattentive, and unprofessional. Communication between loan officer, title company and sales consultant is non existent. No one knew when anything was happening until I told them. Upon completing the walkthrough we saw how messy and dirty Lennar kept everything. Trash everywhere. What can I say….for it being my first time buying a house, this was the worse experience ever. If I buy another home, later on, I’ll make sure it isn’t with Lennar. Try contacting them and seeing the status on everything….no response. Oh, by the way, you need 13k tomorrow for the closing. They moved the closing a week early and expect you to have the closing cost for the next day at 4 pm the day before—worse communication between buyer and seller. Communication fell off a cliff after purchase of home and could not contact team unless I physically drove out there. Deadlines were continuously missed and since moving in there have been many things falling apart that should not be. When we were first shown our Lennar home, we were very eager and excited about the home and the neighborhood. We signed our contract in October and we’re told our closing date would be December. I understand that there are supply chain issues and other things out of Lennar’s hands that caused a delay in building, but we did not close on our house until the end of April. My experience is not the best overall. I will say the our salesman and our closer / finance gentleman were extremely attentive and went 100% out of their way. They were the ONLY reason I didn't walk away and stayed with the homebuilder. I have owned a Lennar home before and my previous husband actually was a construction manager for them so I know the product very well. I have also owned a DR Horton, Antares and a Highland. The house was flooded while under construction, seemingly due to lack of oversight that would have caught it before the damage was so extensive. We fear that we have mold that will affect us later. Delays in completion cost us a lot of money, part of which ($1,000) Chad with Lennar said we would be compensated for, this never happened.

I had a horrible experience with Lennar. The communication was horrible. I received "update" emails for the building process but, it was not correct. The building process was about 2 weeks behind from what the emails were saying was done/ to be done that week. During the scheduled "closing" week, I received communication from the Lennar team threatening to cancel the contract because I was not using their Lender. Building during the COVID pandemic is not easy. Working in the industry I knew going in that there were going to be delays and issues. What I did not expect was the poor work done with the materials that they did have. With Lennar, their marquee promise is delivering a showroom ready home. That is not what we have received. Delays and issues aside, if the work done was worthy of the price paid (and it would have been if it was truly showroom ready) I would be giving 5 stars across the board. Unfortunately, this has been from what was promised.

The main issue my wife and I had with lennar was the lack of communication during closing from the loan officer, loan processor and a little bit from the sales rep. Important things were not communicated to me, which complicated the closing a bit. Luckily my real estate agent was able to guide us and help us. At closing, we found several other people complaining about the same issues. The only thing that saves lennar from 1 star is Bill, who did the walk through with us. He was more than helpful.

We like our home. However, the customer service experience is not great and horribly inconsistent. We would never recommend using Lennar Mortgage, terrible experience. I don’t think we would ever purchase a Lennar home again.
