New home orientation advisor was a joke.

Builder was okay to work with. Lack of organization when it came to my closing date due to not having my CO which caused closing to be moved several times. Because I signed a materials shortage addendum some of the materials did not seem to be of equal value as to what was in the model. Mostly pertaining to the showers in the home. Also did not like my new home orientation advisor who was at my walk throughs. He was rude and argumentative throughout the whole process. He would argue about things such as how my elevation should look, which the builder did fix . Then in order to get me to ...

I was originally told my closing would be June 8th when I put a contract on the house. Almost every other week my closing kept being put out. There would actually be weeks gone buy that no construction work was done on my house. I finally closed on July 23rd. This was an extreme inconvenience because I had sold my house and had to stay in a motel. I have numerous text messages in my phone to verify the above information. Also the landscaping is terrible. I pointed it out to the Lennar agent and at walk through. I did a work order on it and was told that landscaping is no covered. You ...

Horrible home buying experience

My broker did not get paid and sales man kept her commission even though she went with me and I let him know via message that she was going with me. They stated that she didn’t walk in with me the first time that I walked in to ask questions, however, I was never told that she wouldn’t be getting a commission even though she went with me to all the walkthroughs/inspections. We contacted his manager and higher ups and no one cared they also responded in a rude and unprofessional way making me think that they only care about making a sale. This put me in an uncomfortable situation as I became ...

The buying experience was extremely stressful. There’s no guidance and communication. There’s a ton of urgency asking for this or that but, when I asked questions it took days to get an answer. The sales people just assume you know the process but, when you’re a first time buyer it’s very stressful.

Buying a lennar home is not for the weak, loan officer's are terrible, unknowledgable, Unorganized and truly do not have the customers interest in mind. That goes all the way to management, my l9an officer kept putting blame on others and not fixing anything such as my disclosures being incorrect multiple times and him saying that it didn't matter only the final one matters. Then a manager took over my loan, and he was rude and disrespectful, stuff sent incorrect disclosures, and then chose to tell me I was "high maintenance" because I had to reach out to him everytime something was sent to ...

Could’ve done better with home materials

The builder could’ve done better with materials used to build the homes. Lennar at Woodcreek has slabs on the back of their homes but the Chamberlin community across the bridge does not even though the prices of the home were exactly the same. Lennar, build the street like $200k homes instead of $330k homes. If you look at other builders in the community, they’ve put in effort in providing the best stones and bricks. Lennar doesn’t care as long as they get their money. I’m disgusted and will be selling soon. Won’t be dealing with Lennar again. Unless they fix their mistake . 1 star ...

We had our closing March 10. We drove from Colorado to Texas into a winter vortex with 2 labradors, 2 cats, two cars and a trailer. Got stranded in the blizzard. Our trailer got stuck at a hotel with no rooms. So we slept in the car freezing all night till we could get towed in the morning. We get to Frisco Tx on March 9 stay in a hotel. (Remember we have to get 2 cats and two dogs (one’s a tripod) in the hotels for the past few nights driving. Always have to take an elevator.) My experience from start to end was worst. Lost of lying from different Lennar Reps in terms of what they are telling verbally and cheating with signed doc. My home buying process was a roller coaster, to say the least. It started with a classic bait-and-switch tactic regarding the deal, followed by misleading information about loan qualifications. To get me interested, I was told that I qualified for a USDA loan based on my circumstances. However, after I submitted my earnest money—which is supposed to be refundable—I was suddenly informed that I didn’t meet the qualifications after all. This was particularly frustrating because my agreement to move forward was contingent on using that specific loan. Despite that, they refused to refund my ...

I’ve owned several homes and understand the process of buying and selling real estate. From the sales process to final close, it was bumpy and riddled with issues primarily around communication and a lack of clarity in details. Additional issues surfaced in general knowledge related to titling the home as I wanted. The initial response brushed it off then later was casted as a “I’ve never seen it done like that in 20 years” approach. I finally got it resolved as I initially wanted by pushing the issue further. The mortgage process was poor and lacked understanding and direction. The ...

The entire process using the internet and “portal” was a nightmare for this Baby Boomer! Everyone I encountered assumed I knew how to navigate, upload, download, scan, import to a file - and I still don’t! My home buying process (1st time) was traumatizing. I was so excited at first but Ronnie was a huge bully and Jody was very condescending. Buying a home should be a time for celebration of a great achievement, instead, with Lennar Homes, this was a frustrating and disheartening experience. I paid cash so this should have been a seamless experience. However, with the exceptionally poor communication with all Lennar employees I worked with, the closing nearly didn't happen. Lennar staff refused to give me the keys to my home hours after funds had been wired, because I would not fraudulently sign paperwork of things they had not done. Multiple issues upon moving including massive unfinished hole in pantry wall in which ants swarmed the kitchen less than a week upon moving in. Leaks in sinks. Problems with scheduling people to come out for repairs. The people that have come for repairs have been polite and overall helpful, however, in a new home these issues are disappointing. These are on top of the lack of communication from sellers and mortgage and issues that my realtor has never seen. And losing home insurance because Lennar never paid the first prior to selling installment.
