Need to be better with first time homebuyers

The day I signed the contract I was sadly given half correct information about possible helps like homestead and the agent incharge never answered my phone calls after I was passed down to mortage people. After that When I went to pick up my keys after signing there was no one at the comunity and had to wait 30 minutes for someone to arrive and hand me my keys! Lastly my house was dirty when I went in. They never did the last cleaning of my home. The only response I got was: “maybe someone got confused on the day you were closing” other than that I have a house.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Marie, Thank you for your honest review. We're disappointed to learn that your expectations weren’t met, as our goal is always to provide a positive and lasting experience. Moving forward, If there are any warrantable items, please submit a warranty service request through your Lennar account. Lennar works hard to make sure the home buying process is easy and seamless. Of course there were a few hic-ups along the way, but they were easily worked out. Communication was wonderful as well. I just have a few things still needing repair, but all in all, it is a great home and I love living here.

If i could go back in time and tell myself to not do it i would!!!! Rude incompetent people. No communication. I will never EVER suggest Lennar to ANYONE not even my worst enemy. Please save yourself the money, headache, and gray hairs and buy from literally any other builder. You would think they would try and make the first time i’m buying a home pleasant but NOPE. Seriously DO NOT BUY LENNAR.

Lennar responded:
Thank you Jalynne for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. If there are outstanding concerns you'd like us to review, please reach out to us at CorporateCustomerCare@Lennar.com and include details from this review.

Little Things Add Up To Big Problems

Be sure to check things like cabinet & drawer spacing. Can't open drawers if you add handles because they're too close together. Not covered by warranty to fix after the fact, so you're stuck. Spacing in carpet pad which causes issues with trip hazards in carpeting. Did not include patio pad in backyard nor a level area for trash bins. Have to jump through hoops with HOA to get those things added.

Everything was great except the sales rep Bryan. He doesn't return calls very unprofessional. He was the only downside of the process. He was not there when I closed they had to call someone else to give me my keys which took an hour. It is once he received my deposit he turns cold. Even when I first applied he didn't return calls to follow up. Thankful for the loan officer and others but the sales staff should be replaced. I would not recommend anyone to purchase based on his professionalism but everything was great

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Tamara, We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review, even though we’re disappointed to hear we didn’t deliver the homebuying experience you deserved. Numerous issues with home

  • Jason P.
  • Verified HomeBuyer
  • May 15, 2025

I would have liked my 1st homeobuying experience to have been a great experience. However, the whole experience up until this point has been void of joy. I was blessed to purchase a home in TX, however the process was very rushed, I was lied to on numerous occasions, I noted damages in the home prior to closing which I had to deal with afterwards, the process of getting things fixed (which were under warranty) has been difficult to manage, I noticed multiple things after which were not functioning correctly after closing on the home.

Review of the house

Extra switch should be added in the rooms for fans. Double ended switch should be added in the foyer. All bathroooms have no napkins no holder amd towel holder and unutiltized space next to master bedroom sink which could turn into closet. Master bathroom does not have a lock, a tub and a window. No fans and no switches extra provided in the house. Internet point should be in all the rooms but there is only 3. There is no handles in the kitchen cabinets. There is no light in the driveway. Fence material is cheap not good quality.

It was a great move from Chicago to Texas. Lennar made finding and purchasing my home seamless. From pre-qualification to selecting a community that fit my wants and within my budget. My sells consultant Brandi M. was amazing in this process by ensuring I understood the process! To post purchase support (Kyndel R.) to ensure I understand the warrantee and resolve any issues that arise or just answering questions. Lennar truly made my transition less stressful and fulfilling. I'm finally home!

Closing nightmare.

We had our closing March 10. We drove from Colorado to Texas into a winter vortex with 2 labradors, 2 cats, two cars and a trailer. Got stranded in the blizzard. Our trailer got stuck at a hotel with no rooms. So we slept in the car freezing all night till we could get towed in the morning. We get to Frisco Tx on March 9 stay in a hotel. (Remember we have to get 2 cats and two dogs (one’s a tripod) in the hotels for the past few nights driving. Always have to take an elevator.) Now Lennar only does virtual closing and we have to be out of hotel by 11am. They want the closing at ...

Poor customer experience

  • Morgan Y.

  • April 22, 2025
  • Mesquite, TX

The home buying experience felt extremely rushed and disorganized. During my final walkthrough, key components of the home were still incomplete—including the absence of both a sink and a dishwasher—as well as several other unresolved issues. Despite these concerns, the closing proceeded, and I ultimately took possession of a home that was far from move-in ready. After closing, I discovered multiple damaged cabinets throughout the home. Additionally, I had been told that blinds would be included as part of the home package, yet these were never provided. I attempted to address these issues ...

Not much of a great house as expected from a Lennar Homes

  • Dahlia L.
  • Verified HomeBuyer

Great points - processing the loan only took 4-6 weeks to complete. Sprinkler system is included. Tankless water heater. Not so great - Mortgage loan officer needs better communication with buyer so there are no surprises when it comes to paying closing costs. Sending multiple closing costs disclosures creates confusion on the buyer Not so great - House bought for $245k does not live up to par with the house I bought 3 years ago for $219k. The house is built as basic as it can be. No linen cabinets, no towel bars in bathrooms (seriously?!), no glass enclosure for shower in master ...

Our main concern is that we weren’t given the information we’d asked for. We didn’t know that there is Soltera South and North. We asked the salesperson about the HOA charges which are very high but she didn’t explain to us. We were looking for a home at Solitera but this lady didn’t give us full information about the location of Solitera amenities. We’re disappointed by this. We feel we’re scammed. There’s no Lenner in main soltera. We the south Soltera we’re paying HOA double for what isn’t benefiting us directly. I feel that we’re scammed by Lenner using Soltera name to sale their homes. ...
