Overall purchasing experience was great. The whole Lennar team was very helpful and responsive to my concerns. Buyers should be vigilant hiring a qualified independent inspector and insist on being allowed enough time to address any issues before the final walk through. Finance and sales team were top notch. Quality of the home is good, but first time buyers need to understand the difference between a move in ready home and a home that needs upgrades from builder grade materials, paint, etc. The design of the house is nice and the yard is spacious. I really like my new house. Great quality home

Jordan and Seth both were kind and patient with us. Bring seniors we are not very tech savvy and both of them helped us in that regard. On the construction side, this is the worst paint and grout job I’ve ever seen. I was expecting builder grade paint but the manner in which was applied is awful. When we went to pick up the keys to our home we met Richard, customer care, who said he would be by in a few days. That was the last we saw of him.

Customer service after closing and buying has been helpful. However I’d wish the closing to have been much smoother than it was.

I have purchased about 15 homes in my adult life due to job moves. This by far was the worst loan experience I have ever had. Our loan officer, Amanda Claxton, gave incorrect information each time a question was asked. She has no eye for detail and is “ok with things not being exactly right”. I have never heard those words from someone working in finance. She told us things that simply were not true in multiple occasions and when we called her out she denied it even though I have it in email. When she doesn’t know the answer to a question she just makes one up. Simply the worst experience.

Other than the experience with lending my overall experience was good.

Fastest closing we have experienced has its pro’s and cons… we got keys in just over 2 weeks. However the timeline to push for closing was so tight it was difficult to really examine the property. I recommend a 3rd party inspection! Many aspects of the home from various trades are mediocre at best. Drywall is lumpy and uneven. Paint is inconsistent and patchy. Floor trim has zero craftsmanship and many gaps. Walls are bowed. Plot grading is horrible, the lumpy yard will need re-graded and filled w fresh top soil. Garage is minimally mudded and not at all ready for primer/paint. Cabinets in kitchen and bathrooms have no finish trim even after we asked for it to be finished. Shower is caulked terribly and had to be stripped and re-done. Garage needs more than one available outlet. Concrete was sloppily finished and brick layers exercised no care in cleaning mortar droppings of concrete. We will have to chisel it all off for a clean and smooth patio. Wood damage outside was filled with soft silicone and painted over. Its still soft to the touch. Cabinets in bathrooms have no drawers at all. Kitchen sink faucet was installed sideways. Garage door framing had to be filled due to excessive gaps between wood and drywall and the outside was clearly visible on both sides. I could keep going. The point is, make time to thoroughly inspect and know you are purchasing basic, bare bones, bottom shelf housing. ... More

The quality in some places is not really good, fences, grass installation, wall constructions, paint and price is really high vs quality.

Make sure you check EVERYTHING. We have had issues with gas from the stove the sprinklers and I’m noticing some craftsmanship flaws (vent cut outs too long so there’s are cuts not covered by the vents) and a space on the kitchen floor thats not level. First world problems so all in all a lovely home that I’m proud to own. Can’t wait until the HOA fees will be worth it (pool, parks etc)

We have lived in this since 1 June. The craftsmanship is average at best. Very cheap paint on walls. You can’t even brush up against them because you will leave a mark. Caulking is chipping a long with the cheap paint. Driveway is already chipping concrete and upstairs has spots where creaking sounds are heard while walking. Lastly if you want to have a nail poke your foot, just come walk on our carpet, especially when entering or exiting a doorway. You’ll put shoes on! It’s unfortunate that it would seem profit is priority over quality because people just want to chalk it up as being “ a home owner” expense. If it’s done right the first time with the proper materials, I believe in the long run they make more money, but there inline is the problem, people want there money now and have no loyalty. People at a company for an extended amount of time is just not the case anymore. . I gave the overall buying process 4 stars, because it was very good. Overall assessment of our experience is just Fair. Below is the explanation. Delivered product supposed to be an exact replica of what's in the Model Home. Disappointingly what you see is Not really what you get. Builder must own the right to modify, because they do. Several delivered features do not replicate those in the Model as they were supposed to (per SC). Master shower layout, flooring, cabinetry, and others to name a few. Communication with builder/construction superintendent literally Non-existent. 'Take what you get' approach. Oh.... and better be grateful. Also noticed some subs trying to cut corners. Our salesman, Norman, kept trying to sell us something we did not want and, although, we were #1 on a house, we walked in on a conversation with another prospective where he was about to sell them the house we had been promised. We were just waiting for the house to be released to put our money down. We have had trouble getting warranty work completed. We had a private inspection done and some of those issues, which were supposed to be addressed before we moved in still have not been completed. One guy forgot the paint he needed, said he would close the ticket and reopen it when he got back so he it would look like the work had been completed. Work still has not been completed. Had a lot of issues from the morning we were closing until 3 months after we closed. The crew that did the grass left a bunch of wet concrete in the yard after rolling the sod down. They came and rolled after we closed. Now it’s either big chunks of concrete in our front and backyard or dig it up and have to fill with soil and new sod ourselves. Our breaker box in the garage was wired wrong and we couldn’t even use our dryer until an electrician finally made it out. The corners of drywall is already cracking. Door frames are coming undone. The floor molding is coming apart. Dealing with a lot of stuff that we shouldn’t have to deal with 3 months into a brand new home. ... More

I have been here for less than 4 months, having cracks in ceiling and trash being found under the sod, sprinkler system has had several issuses.

Overpriced. Cheap low grade items used in kitchen and bathrooms, bad design with no natural light in kitchen or front door hallway,

Overall experience was a bit rocky, there is a huge lack of communication at times during the process which causes anxiety and unnecessary stress. I didn’t know I would be closing for sure until after 5pm the day before, it was very stressful. Also when I actually picked up my keys, the person who sold me the house was out for paternity leave (so happy for him) but the person there was real impersonal, just handed me the keys and was like good day. I was disappointed because buying a house is a big deal.

The builders were absolutely helpful and kind. However, the title company was a different story. I did not like that the title company would not allow me to close in person. I had no access to a computer and was having to sign all these important documents on my small phone. I felt that my loan officer Terry was not helpful. At one point he even hung up the phone on me. When I was done with closing his response to me was, “I hope we didn’t beat you up too bad.” Terry was very aggressive about me wiring $500 over the price for closing just in case of any numbers were off. I still don’t understand how you would not have my final numbers for closing. They mailed a check of the money that I over paid for closing, but never received it in the mail. Then charged me for wiring It to my bank. I requested a survey of the property before closing, which they would not give me until I closed. Just from that experience alone, I will not be purchasing another LENNAR home in the future. ... More

Many difficulties - Roofing shingles were not properly installed - Title Closing site caused closing confusion - Two problems with HVAC system - Roof trim/venting had to be redone - Shower head started spray leak - Wall paint above shower needed re-painted - Kitchen GFCI circuit failed for four outlets - Street signs never installed for my street and two others before and after streets, Lennar reps ignored, so I had to contact city councilperson to prompt city to install, still waiting - Lennar did not confirm mail delivery on-going, so have not received mail for over 6 weeks, have had to go 20 miles roundtrip to post office, USPS giving me 'run around', I have had to contact my US Congressman to investigate the unresponsive USPS office responsible for delivery. ... Lennar Mortgage issued a e check refund after closing. It's been a month and a half, 3 attempts a BOA and one at our bank and can't cash the check. Reached out to everyone we could think of at Lennar including rosiesupport@lennartitle.com. NO body is responding. We have requested a paper check or wire transfer.

Our sales rep was very communicative and responsive and when trouble arose she took the reins and jumped in to help us. If it were not for our sales rep Hailey, I would have walked from the deal. The home buying concierge assigned to us was so bad—she was non-responsive, didn’t return calls or emails. She was incorrectly relaying information from the project manager to me and probably from me to him. She also gave misinformation that confused and frustrated me. Overall, I would probably choose Lennar again but I would shop around with other builders as well to compare.

Found that the quality of material used during construction are not the level expected based on price paid for home. Make sure that every part of the house is checked and perform a final walkthrough to double check that all issues have been resolved before closing.

My experience with Lennar Homes was mixed. On one hand, Omar, the builder rep, was incredibly helpful and available to answer questions. His guidance throughout the home buying process made things a bit smoother. However, one aspect that I found slightly inconvenient was their complete reliance on electronic documentation. I personally prefer having some paper documents for reference, not just QR codes to look everything up on a screen or log into a portal. Issues that were found during inspection were addressed prior to move-in, there were a couple of items that required attention post-occupancy. Still funding things but Thanks to omar & Richard things get resolved in a timely manner! Overall, if you're comfortable with a fully digital process, Lennar Homes, with Omar's assistance, could be a great choice for your next home purchase. Lenar Mortgage: My experience with Lennar Mortgage left a lot to be desired. The entire process felt unnecessarily exhausting due to their insistence on a fully electronic process. There was no flexibility provided to receive contract documents, or for the loan officer, Jon, to review any of the loan documents with us in person. Adding to the frustration was the required use of their portal, Lennar Track, which was plagued with constant technical issues accessing our file or documents.
