NOT MUCH CONTACT WITH BUILDER

Overall, we are not very impressed with our Lennar home. We did get it for a good price, be we expected more for our money. We especially expected what was here to be in much better shape and quality. Things look very rushed and sloppy all around our house. Paint splatters everywhere, drywall looks very bad in places, yard is a mess with trash and debris left behind everywhere. It is quite disappointing with the amount of things we have had to do ourselves just to make the house presentable, and there is still a lot we have the clean and make better. Our experience with Lennar was a mixed bag. Issues with Lennar Mortgage aside, Lennar was helpful and prompt with questions and inquiries. There were some miscommunications (in regards to ceiling fans and gutters), but the issue was resolved with the help of Alejandra. She did a great job with sticking her neck out for us to help rectify the issue. However, I am fairly upset that it head not communicated to us that we had a transformer box in our backyard, prior to the electrical tech coming onto our property unannounced and uninvited.

The loan process was overall okay. There were parts where they left us hanging on what’s going with the loan. The house overall was very good. Several issues needed to be fix, but took too long to respond to us about when to get it fix. Some parts of the house where missing or missed paint. It was pointed out during inspection that there some several spot where missing paint. Overall experience Okay.

DO NOT close until everything is set up. It’s been almost 2 months and we still don’t have a mailbox. Also, we still can’t get cable/internet services because the builder didn’t work with the companies ahead of time and there are no cables laid out for this services. Please do yourself a favor and go with a different builder.

Overall; for the price paid, expected better. No warranty on landscaping, poor quality in trees and lawn; after two weeks of moving in; 80% landscaping had to be replaced. Elevation of backyard was poor; created a swampy mud hole; as far as the home design; no upgrades were available to choose from just a basic package with 3 different exterior designs. Not a fan of the security devices that come with home , so we purchased another brand / vendor. Best to take your time and really compare builders vs value.

Positive experience with sales department though annoyed with constant price increases during discussion period. Experience with mortgage division very frustrating. Most trade work par for production home. Brushed paint and caulk work done on site is marginal at best. Warranty performance good so far.

I liked the representative. She went above and beyond to help us and make us happy but when it came to the construction it was finish quick and we will fix it once we close on the house. I have been having major problems with the subfloor (it creaks). This is NOT my first home that I have built and for someone to tell me all homes creak, yes they do, OLD HOMES not brand new construction homes. Then, there is the issue with the sheetrock. It is beginning to bulge out, again all these issues are things that shouldn't be happening within 2 months of living there. On the contrary to the construction, their customer service is excellent. The best part of our experience was the customer care rep, Mystic. She has been very helpful and understanding with our concerns and issue.

Landscaping issues are terrible on the yard

The sales guy I dealt with was not 100% honest about things that would be included in the home. We noticed a lot of things that needed to be done during the walk through that was done afterwards. There was a lot more things that were not done or were not done the way they were supposed to be done, because the construction manager was not available during the completion of my home and because this is my first home I wasn’t aware of everything I needed to be looking for. Their responsiveness to fix everything in a timely manner I was grateful for.

The Lennar experience started very well. Alex as a salesman with Lennar as a lender seemed to be a match made in heaven. Alex continued as a helpful advocate, however, the lending process became a stressful and confusing process for no good reason. We remained loan worthy throughout the entire process and turned other lenders down, probably in error. The interior and exterior finish work was mediocre at best. The warranty staff came across a genuine until real work orders were submitted. I will not recommend Lennar as a builder or finance option to anyone. I expected more from the builder in the construction for the home the materials do not look so great as they show in the model. For the price I expected more but we got so overwhelmed and at the end we only want to closed the deal. For my experience I will not say more.

better than some other builders but not the best!

Our experience was very stressful and unpleasant. We are still waiting for return from Lennar for the a double trip for our inspector who could not get into the house do his part because the sales person did not provide access to the house as he promised. It was a total mess from the day we stepped into the model home utill the closing day.

Needs more supervision of sub-contractor workmanship. However, the builder did make everything correct after demanding corrections.

Just wish the home had better finishes

We ran into a bunch of issues with the loan lady and she wasn’t listening. But Jose the sales guy helped us threw the process on buying the house.

Selection process and purchase was very positive. The construction period was not very good - 3 construction inspectors (one we never met); felt very haphazard and not customer-focused. Quality of workmanship is fair - small details like placing a sprinkler head at the exist point of a downspout, which is now covered up by a concrete splash pad; caulking in many places looks like it was done with the non-dominant hand of a non-professional. The post-construction warranty period experience has been positive. There was a lot of issue wrong inside the home that needed to be fixed/repaired. The home seem to have been built rushed and the customer service is very low to resolve concerns brought to attention.

Good response to issues. However too many issues. Poor workmanship and materials. Shelves are separating from their supports. Wall materials are so poor they would not support hanging even small objects. Dishwasher controls difficult to use. Master bath tiles separating from the wall. Caulking cracking and separating. Overall very poor and was a poor choice when choosing a builder. Will never make that mistake again.

Do your homework. Use another builder!

Should have took my time when buying, checked all of my options.

I would recommend having a home inspector inspect the home prior to closing
