They did not remove/correct orange tape from walkthrough.

During the final walkthrough we pointed out things that had not been corrected in obvious spots. Such as large splotches of gray in the middle of the wall (obvious things). The lady who did our walkthrough said to just sign the final walkthrough docs or Lennar wouldn’t be able to make the corrections. We went to closing and we asked again about the discrepancies and were told after closing they would follow up. No one followed up. We tried reaching out and our calls went unanswered. We had to remove multiple orange tapes and granted we understand the hard to spot ones. But in the middle ...

The sales rep, Jimmy, over committed before sigining the sale agreement. Couple of key information provided prior to the sale, which drives our decision making to invest in the house, were incorrect. This unfolded to us as we went through Lennar's mortgage process for ex., sellers credit provided is of no use, as they artificially inflate the interest rate and then apply all the credits against discount points to lower interest rate to match market rate provided by other lenders (so this is literally a rip off, as it nullifies the benefit of sellers credit, which was one of the prime reason ...

The overall experience was not bad, my frustration with this experience was lack of communication. After you sign you basically have to pull teeth to get responses. After you close its even worse... ive asked for the paint code for our walls from the construction manager like 30 times and he just ignores me. Once you buy they dont care.

The Worse Home Buying Experience

I’ve purchased a couple of homes prior to this experience with different builders and I can say this was hands down the worse home buying experience for me and my family from beginning to end. Lennar’s lack of communication throughout different departments and with me and my realtor when making inquires caused us to have to spend unnecessary money and Lennar didn’t take anyone’s time but their own into consideration. This experience was unpleasant, depressing, and stressful. Based on this experience I wouldn’t buy another home with this builder and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone else.

Second time buying a home with Lennar- last time for sure!

Lennar has affordable homes but terrible customer experience. I had the run around with the lender from day one (even lasted after I closed). If you are a person doing this without an experienced realtor, I beg you to reconsider. Your realtor won’t get the full 3% but they will help you navigate the many issues you’ll run into with Lennar’s in house lender. I wanted to go with a different lender but the deals offered by Lennar were better. The quality of my home seems to be fine. And the deal was amazing but I have spent so much money to buy necessities that should have been included. If ...

Sales and purchase were easy. Many of the Lennar systems don’t talk to each other so that was somewhat frustrating. After inspection and move in we found quite a few issues. Nothing that I feel confident that the warranty department would take seriously (house not sealed at roof - mice coming in). Been a Lennar home owner before, and Project Management and Quality Control is seriously lacking.

The sod was laid wet and then the workers walked all over it creating very dangerous pot holes in the shape of foot prints. I hurt my right knee the first time I walked on it. I have to regrade it of course. The electrician has been out twice. Drawers had to be repaired. Had to have gutters in immediately. Lost power twice the first week so I put in a generator. The kitchen cabinets are useless. Having drawers installed. Tore out all the low grade carpeting. Put in a matching floor. The driveway is all pitted with extra cement globs everywhere. They had replaced 1 section but really the whole ...

It did not go well at closing. I had a tough time with Ashley's teammate. I finally had to escalate the situation to their boss, so I could close on the day matthew said after calling me when I was on the way there. Ashley was honest and said it may not happen, but Matthew said otherwise. I would never want anyone to go through what I experienced. I also have noticed some things that wasn't actually handled well but I signed off on the 2nd walkthrough.

My overall experience purchasing a Lennar home was not the best it could’ve been but not terrible either. There were items that I asked if were included and was told yes to only be told later it’s not included with the collection. I didn’t get an apology of incorrect information only an unfortunately which is not an apology. Nothing offered because of the incorrect info either. You have to continuously stay on everyone from beginning to any individuals in between to closing. I even received a phone call from the VP of Lennar mortgage in regards to a survey I left. I missed the call and ...

It was a pretty tough experience. Our sales girl quit in the middle of building. Bounced around to a couple others that didn't help much before being handled by the manager. First walk through was scheduled when work wasn't complete yet. Final walk through when there was still workers working on the house. Was promised issues we found would be taken care of. Here we are a month and half later and we still have tape on our walls from the walk through that haven't been addressed. Even add ins we paid for in the contract weren't done. Crooked walls and bad drywall in multiple places and the 2nd ...

Pretty bad financial and title team

House quality and workmanship is acceptable for this kind of budget houses, but the financial and title teams sucks. Even though there was plenty of time to get ready for the closing day, as the house was being constructed, they were still asking for info to get the loan just around a week before the closing. Consequently the closing final amount keep changing up to the day of closing creating some unexpected hassles that day. Very disappointing feeling for a well known company as Lennar.

At first it was exciting, lizz was great she always responded to our emails and check in every once in a while. She then moved and we were stuck with Nancy. When doing the tape walk thru we weren't able to hold the tape and things we wanted fixed we would get “it’s reasonably crooked” or “I’ll tape it but I don’t know if it’ll be fixed” as we walked through the house we had to be far from the wall and could not use our flashlight for dark areas. I understand it will not be perfect but if I’m going to be purchasing a new home and paying all that money I would like the house to be satisfactory. ...

The good: I like the floorplan and love the neighborhood we moved into. Enjoyed working with the sales person that helped us buy the house. The rest: The finish quality in the home and the materials used are appalling. The kitchen cabinets are the cheapest cabinets I've ever seen. The ready made cabinets at Lowes or Home Depot are better than these. The electrical work scares me. I had to install a couple of new fans and it looks like a high school shop class put the electrical in. Our water coming out of the faucet in the Texas summer is beyond warm, it is downright hot. I recently found ...

Lennar - There really doesn’t seem to be quality control.

There really doesn’t seem to be quality control. The contractors review their own work and the construction managers take them at their word until the perspective owner comes and looks at the work. The toilet wasn’t level, the stairs were out of plumb, a few walls weren’t square, and they missed the electrical outlet needed on the island, the decking where the AC unit was installed wasn’t not level and the AC unit was installed anyway. The AC unit was installed anyway and actually was missing a recirculating valve. This cause the unit to sweat immensely and water to run off into the ...

I purchased my home 2 months ago and I fell in love but there were steps taken to make sure I would continue being happy in the home and those were not completed. Walkthrough items never touched and ignored and here we are 2 months later and I can not even operate master bedroom blinds from a walkthrough item unacceptable I work hard to make sure I could afford a nice new home.

Their inability to give us a choice in many things in our home. From interior paint color, to external brick, the choice was made for us. Never in my experience of buying a home did the sales guy have to say, "I'm sorry, no" so many times. If it weren't that Lennar had the floor plan we wanted (Next Gen home) we would have built with someone else.

Lennars goal is to close business and there is so much room for improvement. I told my sales guy I could not meet at a certain date since I locked in the house. I never meet with customer service, I was sent another builder supervisor instead. When we spent TWICE time to call out cosmetic things that needed to be repaired, only a very few were taken care of and the rest... well they just peeled off the orange stickers. Most of the paint jobs are leaky and full of paint buggers. Love the location, and the size of the land, but I would need to see lots of improvement before buying another ...

Lennar - We are enjoying our new home and neighborhood and did have some

We are enjoying our new home and neighborhood and did have some positive experiences with Lennar. However, since we moved in 3 months ago we have noticed some problems with the workmanship. The paint job was especially sloppy. We also had problems with the Lennar Title Company giving us incorrect information at closing, and they would not respond to our emails requesting assistance concerning this incorrect information. These are some of the reasons that our overall rating is just average.
